Sunny wanted to re-create the Betaab magic

Doting daddy Sunny Deol is gearing up for son Karan's debut movie and looks like he is extremely particular about who his son will share the screen with!

Reportedly, the 58-year-old actor wanted Saif-Amrita's daughter Sara Ali Khan to play Karan's on-screen love interest. Interestingly, the Gadar star has also made his debut with Sara's mother Amrita in Betaab!

However, the talks couldn't materialise for Sara is already under contract with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.

According to a source, "The idea was to recreate the Betaab magic. Sunny even called up Amrita and told her he would like to cast Sara opposite Karan. However, it was not meant to be. Amrita had to turn down the offer as by then, Sara was already under contract with Dharma Productions " she will be making her debut in a film produced by Karan Johar."
