Nice update...
But there is no improvement in their relationship...like they are not attached emotionally...
Well u better know how to present ur story but it's a request if u show some emotional bond between them...

- | Chapter Eighteen | -

Days rolled by, and its been more than two months they are living together. Things are pretty same between them apart from the fact that they can't spend a day without each other.

It was any other day, he returned back from office and was in sour mood due to his meet with his ex in the afternoon which disclosed some hidden truths regarding her betrayal.

"It was my step-father, Rey!"

"I was forced to steal the information about uncle's project and gave it to my step father else he would have killed you. I was scared, Rey."

"Killing someone is not something new for my step father. He can go to any extend to achieve something and worse part is that even my mother supports him blindly. I never wanted to leave you, but i had too."

"Why are you back now? Aren't you afraid of your father now?"

"He died few months back. And i wanted to clear our misunderstanding, Rey. I never used you, Rey."

"Can you give a second chance to me? I still love you, do you?"

The conversation he had with her played in his mind, her tear stricken face was haunting him. He doesn't know what to do now? His mind stopped working. he doesn't know if she should be happy that Kiara didn't betrayed him or be sad that he had moved on?

"Hey, Reyaansh!" A pair of feminine arms wrapped around him from behind. A small smile touched his cheeks knowing its her.

Her fruity fragrance engulfed him. The tension he had earlier, went away as soon she came.

"Hey, kiddo." He turned around to face her. He cupped her face and pressed his lips against her forehead, leaving a soft, soothing kiss.

"What happen, Reyaansh? You look tensed-" She look at him with worry. In these months of knowing him, she had learnt to read him.

She could tell if he is hiding something or something is troubling him. As surprising as it was to her, she was liking it. It was different for her to be so close to someone on emotional level.

"Well, I met my ex today." He knew better not to hide things from her. And even he himself wanted to let it out of his system. Taani gave a small nod, giving him cue to continue. She was a great listener.

"She said she betrayed me because her step-dad forced her to, else he would have killed me-"

Rey explained everything to her. Taani listened to him with great concentrate, a part of her filled with disappointment and hurt when she listened his ex has asked for a second chance, but she was mentally prepared for it.

She hadn't expect him to stay forever. She knew one day or other, he would also leave her and she was prepared for it, or she think so.

"What should i do?" Rey look at her as he asked her. A sigh escaped her lips, she made him sit on the couch in their bedroom and she herself took seat beside him.

"Its you who needs to decide that. I am no one to say to anything, its about your decision. You should decide. And you should be happy to know that she still loves you." She said to him truthfully.

"But i am not. I don't know if i should give her a chance or not. And what about us?" Rey let out a sigh of frustration, he buried his face in his hands.

"Reyaansh, I don't know if you should give her chance or not, but i know about us. If you decide to give her chance then i am out of your life forever. I have better things to do in life than being other girl in someone's life. And also, whatever we have, is no-strings attach relationship, you shouldn't worry so much about it, If you have a chance to get your love back, then why not-" Being the straight-forward person, she put her thoughts forward before him, letting him know where she stand in their relationship.

Rey listened to her, when we went into relationship with her, it wasn't difficult for him to leave her. He thought it would last for few days and they will part ways, even then he didn't had problem with separating from her, but not today.

He couldn't think of leaving her.

"I will order dinner from outside." Taani murmured when she noticed his tensed face, she knew he needed some alone time.

"I will be in living area." Taani whispered in his ear softly, she placed a soft peck on his cheek before she got up and walked out of the room.
