As we all remember sona tells dev that She won't leave him even if he leaves her (twice in 2 episodes), She knows that dev loves her a lot and scarifying his life and love for that stupid mom who has gone to an extent of sending a proposal for sona. I think sona will stage this drama with rithwik (rain sequence etc) to make dev feel jealous and realize that he is not able to choose one over the other. and that sona is as important and the relationship with her as important as his mom. Then dev and sona together will make that mad lady understand.
