Character Bashing - a favorite sport!

seeing the character bashing over the past 48 hours on almost all social media and forums, i am really feeling disgusted. Yesterday it was Ishwari, Today it is Dev and who knows, tomorrow it could be Sona... Social media is brutally cruel and crude. CV's create characters and the actors bring them to life. India and Indian soaps have not yet reached levels where audience maturity need not be considered. It is here that the CVs need to be cautious. In India, Audience is akin to the mob.. and today the mob is behind the two main characters of this show.

I was praising this serial to one of my overseas friends. He jokingly remarked.. if two of the three characters of the show are being brutalized, then how come i can call it a successful serial. I was taken aback because there is an element of truth in it.

I hope and pray that better sense prevails and sanity is restored.

I don't think people in our forum are bashing any character. Yes they are giving their POV, but in a polite manner. About social media, i am really not aware if people are really bashing the characters.

Yes i dislike Ishwari's character, but that does not mean, i'll bash her. It is the way the character is written and we'll get see that only.

even if uncivil words are used?? Well we do not have to look far. just check out our own forum in the last few hours!

Bashing I have no idea. Yes people don't like some characters in some situations but Bashing is not acceptable.

There is huge difference between bashing and criticism ..

Criticism is not wrong at all, it always helps the CV of the serial to improve their quality of work, if it is taken in good spirit .😊

In forum everyone is criticizing characters and not bashing . Never ever so far I have a seen any single post of bashing😃

You r getting worried for fictional character bashing.In SNS more cruel things happens.Actors n Actress r bashed mercilessly.They r being constantly judged by random people.Who don't know the actors personally.Their real life character is bashed.Name calling happens.That's the cruel thing I have seen.Fictional Character bashing is normal.Only few do.Who get so attached with one character.Some time some fail to distinguish between Real N Reel.For Reel.Real actors r also bashed.

Totally agree with you. After the Break Up the way Iswari was bashed just unbelievable. Some even asked her to take more pills and wished her death. Going to that extent is too much. The Forum posts since last two days are enough to prove your point. I felt the same way as you did.

then why are people jumping at milder words like Moron / Door mat??? Live with it gracefully, isn''t it and take it as healthy criticism.

BTW, i thought there needs to be civility in speech in such forums. But if phrases like "Son of a B" can be used, then let us all have more fun and live with innuendoes and vulgarity in the form of healthy criticism.

i rest my case and do not wish to discuss this further.

All characters are portraying their role so well! If today we 'hate' Ishwari it's thanks to the actor(sorry I don't know her name). But I do agree that viewers need to take into account that to see devakshi and a love story there has to be many things we won't like to see but yet that is what makes the serial!

The show isn't about All three characters being perfect as then we would get bored and complain!

The sad thing is social media opens up opportunities of bashing! Its sad!

May be seen much more worse than this in other forum. Whenever such kind @ blue :of post are made, we have guided that post-maker not to use such harsh words, not good for forum environment.

Dear @ BOLD:That post I guess posted- today.( for me -🤔) and am not visitor of that post.But am sure ppl who had visited on that post must have guided that not to use such language.

So far we have positive forum over all and we don't have any moderator which itself what kind of forum we have 😃
