I had a couple of questions about Sage Shukracharya (The guru of the Demons)....

Firstly, did he ever die?????
How did his downfall occur???
What did the gods do to him???
How did he decide to give up on establishing demon superiority??? Did he give up by choice, or was it forced?

Is it true that Shukracharya represents the Planet Venus???

Did he have a love for nature???
Were his powers taken away??? By whom??? Bcuz of what???

By downfall do you mean losing power? Well, Sukracharya did not have downfall. So far his death is concerned, he died once but was revived by Brihaspati's son. He did not give up on establishing demon-superiority. He always tried - sometimes he succeeded and sometimes he did not. In those days, all sages had love for nature. His powers were not taken away.

So, that means that Shukracharya is still living.....and possibly still trying to reach his goal.....

However, it doesn't seem that he is successful. Nowadays, people are more lusty and easily manipulated as compared to back then.......cuz its kaliyug.......so that would mean that it is easier for shukracharya to find ppl to do his work.....

I feel that there is def something that happened in which his powers were taken away...either that, or his view of the world changed completely.......

All I'm trying to say is, there is most probably something that put a holt to his influence and actions...

I have also heard that Shukracharya represents the Planet Venus, just as Brahispati represents Mercury.......

In hindi, the planet Venus is known as Shukra.....and....according to my grandfather, shukra is controlled by shukracharya.......

But if he controls a planet..........and has influence on pplz lives - in terms of astrology - wouldn't that be giving him more power than he deserves, based on past actions...

All of this just doesn't make sense to me....

As per scriptures, the power of Shukracharya were not taken away. Being the guru of demons, it was his duty to try his best to do good for demons. Of course, one can always argue whether he chose the correct profession by becoming the guru of demons.
