Choti Si Baat , Rajnigandha,Golmal, Naram Garam are his best light hearted comic movies. Amol Palekar did a good job in all.

Golmaal, choti si baat, baton baton mei, chitchor, all his films were so simple, beautiful, and realistic. Amol Palekar and Farooque Sheikh were 2 gems of meaningful lighthearted parallel films of 70s and 80s.
