It's been a week since Rishabh returned home. He was improving. He could simply interact with Madhu with hand gestures and simple answers like 'Yes' and 'No' but he hasn't recognized Madhu yet. Madhu was sad as he hasn't recognized her yet but was happy to see his health improving day by day.One morning Madhu was cleaning up their room. She was already on her 7th month of pregnancy and despite of Rishabh's parent's warnings, she always worked. No matter how much they taunted her for exhausting herself she didn't listen to them. She wanted to do her work all by herself.
She was trying to reach the top shelf to clean, the chair was wobbly and she lost her balance and was about to fall.
'Madhuuu!' She heard Rishabh screaming.
She was trying to look at him with astonishment in the very next second. Within no time she was safely landed on Rishabh's arms. Madhu couldn't believe her eyes. She was on her Rishabh's arms. His protective arms have wrapped around her.
She was staring at him with surprise. She couldn't speak a word. His voice was echoing inside her mind.
'Rishu?' Her eyes filled with tears of happiness. He was staring at her.
'Rishu?' 'Rishu say it again?' 'I'm your Madhu. Can you remember me?'
'Argh.' Rishabh put Madhu down in the very next second and he held his head and collapsed on the bed near by.
'Rishu!!' 'Rishu are you okay?'
'Rishu!!' Madhu screamed with fear.
After few hours.
Rishabh was rushed to the hospital. Madhu and Rishabh's parents were impatiently waiting outside. They were worried about Rishabh's health once again.
'Madhu could you come inside please?' The doctor called upon Madhu.
'Doctor ? Rishu? How is he?' Madhu was afraid.
'I think you should go and see him'
Madhu went inside. Rishabh was looking at her with teary eyes. Madhu sat beside him. She held his hand gently and planted a soft kiss.
'Rishu..' She cupped his face. Her eyes were moisturized with tears.
'Rishu.. I'm your Madhu. Please don't tell me you don't remember me. Please Rishu. It hurts. How long I'd been waiting to hear my name from your mouth. Please tell me you remember me hmm?'
Madhu noticed tears flowing down Rishabh's eyes. He nodded her with a smile and hugged her tightly.
'Madhu' He spoke in a soft yet a wobbly tone. Madhu couldn't believe what was happening. She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him back tightly. The couple spent a few minutes in the same position, unable to express their feelings of extreme happiness.
They broke the hug after few minutes.
'Rishu.. Rishu..! 'You are fine na?' Madhu was overwhelmed and she planted quick kisses on his forehead.
Rishabh cupped her face. Madhu felt his warmth after a long time. He planted a soft his on her forehead.
'Madhu..' 'Yes you are my Madhu.'
Madhu was speechless. Her happiness knew no bounds.
'Rishu.. Rishu.. say it again. Oh my god! You are back!'
'Madhu.. yeah your Rishu is back.'
Madhu held his hand tightly and kissed.
'I knew it. I knew that god cannot be unfair forever to me.'
'I don't know Madhu. I feel as if I woke up after a long sleep. I can't remember what happened.'
'Lot's of things happened Rishu. But just forget them. You are back in my life. I.. I just can't express how happy I'm feeling right now.' Madhu was delighted.
Rishabh slowly ran his hand on Madhu's pregnant belly and he gently caressed it.
'Madhu?' His eyes were filled with happy tears. Madhu nodded confirming it.
'Yes Rishu. You are gonna be a dad, very soon. Just 2 months left. And this is one reason which made me more stronger. Though you were not in your senses for the past 7 months, your love grew inside me.'
'I.. I just can't believe this Madhu. I.. I dreamed about this and it has become a reality.' Rishabh spoke with happy tears.
'I love you Madhu. I love you so much and words aren't enough to describe it. And.. I I don't know how to thank you for taking care of me for the past few months. I really don't know how I was.. I.. I..'
'Shh..' Madhu put her index finger on his lips. 'Don't try to strain yourself by remembering the past Rishu. Now you are totally fine and that's what matters. Finally the dark times have ended. It's time to look forward for a beautiful beginning with our baby.' Madhu smiled.
'I love you Rishu.' Madhu rested her head on his chest. He placed a soft his on her forehead. The lovers reunited after a long wait.
Madhu couldn't thank enough the doctors for saving Rishabh's life. Rishabh's parents were on cloud nine to see their son all fine. Madhu's parents also came to see him right after they got the good news.
After 2 days he was back home. Time passed by and Madhu revealed everything to Rishabh gradually. She didn't want to strain himself. Rishabh was heart broken and furious to hear about how Aditya used to mistreat her.
After few weeks and after Rishabh was permitted to go out, both of them went to visit Kaavya to thank her. They couldn't thank enough her.
'Thank you so much Ms. Kaavya if not for you, I won't be able to cure Rishabh soon.'
'It's not my financial support Madhu, it's your love and support that cured your husband.' Kaavya replied.
After a week.
Rishabh was taking extra care of Madhu. He didn't even leave Madhu alone for a second.
'Madhu! Just don't just don't get out of bed!' 'I know what you are gonna do. Can't you just stop tiding and arranging the room.?' 'You will get exhausted.' Rishabh ordered his pregnant wife who was under complete 'bed arrest' since morning.
'Rishabh! please. Let me get out of the bed. Just let me walk a little. I can't stay in bed all day. I hate it! Why do I have to stay in bed like a paralyzed patient?'
'Madhu.. just just think of your health. Remember yesterday also you were about to trip! Why are you so careless?'
'I'm not careless Rishu. I'm just bored. I don't know I just can't stay in bed! I know you are taking good care of me. No let me correct, taking extra care!! Sometimes makes me irritated to be honest!' Madhu made a face.
'That's because I love you.'
'I know you love me but please reduce this restrictions, will you? I'm not a patient. I'm just a normal pregnant woman.'
'Okay okay! but I don't like to see you doing all these work. Will you please keep your hands off? If you want to walk, I will take you but don't strain yourself okay?'
'Oh hello! Don't underestimate us! Me and my baby are strong.'
'Trying to team up now?'
'Of course. Me and my son will give you a tough time Mr. Kundra.'
'In your dreams Mrs. Kundra!' Rishabh chuckled. It's gonna be a girl. Wait till my baby girl to come out.
'Haaw!' 'No way! It's gonna be a boy'

'Boy and it's final!'
'No it's a girl! I'm sure!'
'Rishu.. Madhu' Radha came inside the room. She was smiling at them. They were fighting for their baby's gender like 5 year old kids.
'I hope you haven't forgotten that Madhu has a check up in the evening at 4 o'clock.'
'Oh no! I almost forgot it!' Rishabh had almost forgotten that he needs to take his wife to the doctor. It was his first visit to the doctor with Madhu.
'Congrats Mr. Kundra. Nice to see you here, all fit and healthy.'
'Thank you doctor.'
'And Madhu finally you are here. You have missed a lot of check ups. It's been almost 3 months you came after the last check up.'
Madhu couldn't attend her health check ups due to Rishabh's condition back in time.
While scanning
'Hmm.. I see something surprising!' The doctor told.
'What is it doctor?' Rishabh was worried.
'Hmm let me see further.'
'Doctor? Doctor Madhu is doing fine na?'
'Of course Mr. Kundra she is doing well.'
'Then?' Rishabh was confused. Madhu and Rishabh exchanged a confusing look. Rishabh was holding her hand tightly.
'Can you see that screen Madhu? Don't you notice something?'
Both Madhu and Rishabh looked at the screen and both of them couldn't understand at once but they could see two figures.
'What? Twins?' Madhu was surprised.
'Yes you are right Mrs. Kundra. You are not carrying only one. But two.'
'Huh.. then that's why I used get multiple kicks and pains in the past few weeks. I always had a doubt but.. I.. I wasn't sure.'
Rishabh's eyes widened with surprise and extreme happiness.
'Madhu... you you felt it already? Why didn't you tell me?'
'I didn't know. I.. I was getting this strange feeling that it could be more than one baby. But I wasn't sure. That's why I waited till the scan.'
Rishabh and Madhu's happiness doubled with the good news. They didn't want to know their babies' gender. They wanted it to be a surprise till the day of their birth.
Finally the day dawned they'd been waiting for. Madhu was on labor. The doctors suggested her to go through a C-section as it was twins. Rishabh was allowed to be inside the labor room. Madhu was holding his hand tightly. Rishabh was restless as well but he assured everything will be okay.
Madhu and Rishabh became proud parents of twins, a baby girl and a baby boy. Both of their wishes came true. They've been blessed with two bundles of joy.
'Thank you so much Madhu.' 'I love you.' 'Thank you for gifting me with two precious gems.' Rishabh placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.
Madhu smiled. Her eyes were moisturized with happy tears. She silently prayed god for gifting her the best. Finally their family was completed with two beautiful babies.
After 3 days, Madhu and the babies were discharged from the hospital. Madhu held the baby boy and Rishabh held the baby girl in their hands. Madhu was surprised to see their room. It was all decorated with Blue and Pink Balloons and flowers and was filled with lots of toys to welcome their babies.
They named their babies as Arjun and Aarushi. Rishabh decided to stay home for another month to take care of their babies. The twins gave a tough time to the couple. Handling two babies at once was a difficult task for the new parents but they enjoyed every bit of it.
Time passed and it was their twins' first birthday. Rishabh made arrangements for the birthday celebrations. The entire house was decorated with balloons and their babies favourite cartoon characters.
The birthday cake was made as two cute teddy bears, one blue and the other pink. The two cute babies were dressed in those colours too. Arjun was in a hurry to blow the candle. He gave a tough time to his mommy by blowing his candle too soon before even singing 'Happy birthday'. Madhu had to lit it several times due to his mischievous little boy. No matter how tightly daddy Rishabh held him he smartly got off his grip and accomplished his mission by blowing away the candle.
Finally Madhu could surrender her naughty boy for a while till they sing 'Happy birthday'. Aarushi was trying to blow her candle but the poor little girl couldn't do it at once like her twin brother. After a several attempts she successfully blew it.
The proud parents fed their babies. Soon the little ones got excited playing with icing. Madhu sat in a comfortable corner of the sofa. She was feeling a bit tired with all the birthday preparations. She started enjoying a piece of cake peacefully in the cozy corner.
Suddenly she felt somebody rubbing her cheeks with something. It didn't take her time to realize it was none other than her husband Rishabh who was applying icing on her cheeks.
'Rishuuu!!' She screamed.
'Haha'! Rishabh was laughing out loud.
'Rishu! I won't spare you' Madhu threatened him. Within no time she too grabbed a big piece of icing from their twins' cake and chased after her husband. They were running around the house like Tom & Jerry.
The twins started clapping with excitement. They were giggling and were staring at their parents who were running around the house crazily.
'Haha Madhu! Poor you! Couldn't catch me yet?' Rishabh chuckled. He kept her irritated.
'The game is not over yet Mr. Kundra' She smirked.
Madhu started chasing him again. In the next second, Rishabh slipped on the floor due to icing.
'Ouch'
'Haha! Madhu giggled.
'Argh. My back!'
Madhu couldn't stop her laugh.
'Madhu please help me.' Rishabh pretended to be helpless.
'No way! You can stand by yourself.'
'Madhu seriously. My back is paining. I hope my bones aren't broken.' Rishabh spoke in a painful tone.
Madhu was a bit worried and she extended her hand.
Rishabh pulled her back towards him. Finally Madhu fell into his trick.
'Haaw!! Liar!' 'You tricked me!'
'But you know this liar loves you' Rishabh winked.
They shared an intense eye lock. They were lost in each others worlds. Rishabh slowly wiped icing from her cheeks. They almost forgot where they were until they heard the giggling sound of their twins. They felt embarrassed. They got up at once. The twins crawled up to their parents. Rishabh and Madhu was smiling at each other.
They spent some memorable moments on their twins' birthday. They could not have asked for more. Rishabh and Madhu was blessed with two beautiful kids. Their cute little family was filled with love and joy. No matter how much of obstacles they faced in the past their love was strong to overcome everything.
