Tell us about Khoya Khoya Chand. Khoya khoya chand is set in the 1950s, the film industry in 1950s. I am playing an actress from that period. She is an extremely talented woman like you see the actresses of those times like Meena Kumari, Madhubala and Waheeda Rehman. I am very excited about the film. It is a very beautiful and very romantic too. Is it based on Guru Dutt and Waheeda Rehman's life? It's not at all based on Gurudutt's life or Kagaz ke phool. It is Sudhir Mishra's vision. He is of course inspired by 1950s film industry, the reminiscent of that era where Guru Dutt was one of the most famous actor-director. But it's an entirely different story. How challenging was the role? I am playing an actress as I told you. It's a very challenging role because there's a lot to do in it. When you're playing an actor, it means there's a film within the film as well. There are a lot of classical dance that I had to learn, horse riding and sword fighting sequences. The character is also very interesting, because even I am an actor. Life of an actor in that era was very different from today's actors. It is very difficult playing a female actor in the film. Do you have grudges against the other judges? If you've noticed, I have never spoken against the judges ever in the show, except for today. I have never begged to them for marks. I never even asked the audience to vote for me. Everybody asked for votes, but not me. I don't have any complain against anyone, I always took their marks as prashad and never complained. Tell us about your interest in dance.
I am very fond of dancing, but as you know there is a huge difference between dancing in your bedroom or in a party with your friends, and dancing on stage in rhythm, with choreographed steps before an audience. I respect all forms of dance, and also very excited about watching all the contestants dance in Jhalak Dikhhla Ja. Source- jhalak official site
