It has been 8 months of her marriage. 8 months since she became Khushi Singh Raizaada. 8 months since she had entered new phase of her life. 8 months since Shayam Jha has been to jail. 8 months since Arnav has thwarted all the bail attempts. In these 8 months lot of Shayam's previous indiscretions have come forward. As her husband had completely dug out Shayam's past. Multiple rape charges, from many minor girls, much more blackmail charges. Today was the judgement day.

Khushi was composed today . As if she was redeemed. She switched on the TV . All the news channel carried on the news of the imminent sentence and further sentences for the serial offender. She was hailed as a hero, a role model who came forward. A role model who the society tried to shame but failed. Just yesterday she met a woman whose girl was also raped by the same leech. She only saw admiration in the mother's eyes for her. The mother told her that Khushi had given her courage to come forward and share her ordeal too.

Khushi felt like a cheat because she knew who was the real hero. The person who had married her in order to punish her attacker. The person who devoted a lot of his time to get her justice. The person who indirectly taught her to stare back at the world who was pre-occupied with staring at her. The person who respected her wish to give time to their marriage. The person about whom she still knew nothing - her husband.

Khushi had first heard about the new found illegitimate son of Mr. Raizaada in one of the charity meets around 6 months back. Most of it was gossips. Nobody knew from where he had come. The raizadda company board officials have arranged a press meet and declared Mr Arnav Raizaada would be managing director which was then followed by a strictly professional press conference. It was assumed in the social circle that Arnav avoided social interactions because he was not one of them and he did not have enough grace or sophistication to become part of the crowd. But you cannot hide sun's light for long. Slowly talks started about his business acumen , his ethics. No one knew what he did in his free time, or did he work for 24 hrs , just because he did not have costly hobbies of golfing or polo. He was an enigma.

Khushi's thought process was interrupted by the arrival of her husband. She could see that he was in heightened sense of anticipation. Was he also worried about her judgement or was it something else. When they stepped out of their car, both of them were surrounded by security who were trying to keep reporters at bay. Arnav put his arms around Khushi and took her inside. Khushi never told it publically, but she liked her husband's arms around her. She thanked god for the black shades on her eyes as now her husband could not read her eyes . She was wearing his choice of dress today , a normal shirt and pants. He did not wanted to go all Indian dress during her trial period. Act the way u are.. How u dress is not responsible for molestation.. Its because ur attacker is a pervert rather than u being covered up from head to toe..

After some time :

Looking at all the evidences, the court finds Mr Shyam Jha guilty of trying to outrage the modesty of a woman, so the court sentences him of 10yrs of rigorous imprisonment..

Khushi took a sigh of relief. She had tears in her eyes . She was redeemed. She had finally nailed that leech. She looked at Arnav , his expressions had not changed.. Still unreadable.. Wasn't it a day of celebrations..

Arnav.. Are u okay..

Khushi did not even realize when she was dragged out of the court.

Khushi hated parties like this. She was even more sure that her husband hated it the most but had decided to indulge his father. She suddenly caught sight of few of the society ladies who were not exactly her circle but had left no chance previously to shame her indirectly. She just turned away to avoid facing them again.. But just then she was stopped by Arnav who turned her back towards them.

Khushi was stunned. This was the first time her husband has touched her this intimately.
