I'm sure i'm not the only one terrified by the sudden change we saw in the latter part of friday's epi. Arjun losing his temper on his cousin (although you can't blame him considering what an A hole his cousin is) and trying to strangle him in a headlock, and then him unleashing his fury on his parents and even unknowingly revealing his naag eyes to his parents, ultimately scaring the wits off of them made for a very unsettling episode.
What makes this side of arjun so terrifying to see is how much of a contrast it is from the arjun we have seen till date. The arjun who is incredibly humble, caring towards others, wouldn't dream about hurting anyone and was very clam and level-headed now appears to be crumbling and somewhat being taken over completely by his naag side. I guess vasuki's fears of arjun becoming naagarjun have always been justified as somehow vasuki knew what the powers arjun had would do to his humanity, and that side of him risked arjun losing his humanity altogether.
Arjun now quite literally will have to battle his inner demons, and more than dangers from outside forces, he poses a much greater danger on himself. I really want to see a scene though where mohini and shanks see this side of arjun and also get terrified as his parents did, as somehow even these two may not have imagined in their dreams to see such a terrifying side to the vulnerable half-human-half-naag boy they saw as a threat till date. Cv's better not let us down as i want to see shanks and mohini's startled reactions to arjun's changing behaviour. Who else would like to see this?
