Ch 17 : Sweet
Taani walked inside the singhania mansion in evening with Abhi by her side.
"Di, why did you brought me here? I had a basketball match with my friends." Abhi complained to his sister who narrowed her eyes at him.
"Shut up, Abhi! Mom called me here and its more important than your stupid match." Taani slapped back his head slightly causing him to frown at her.
"But why did auntie called you?" Abhi questioned her since he was eager to leave quickly for his match.
"I have no idea, but it must be something important." Taani mumbled as they both went in living area. Her brows knotted in confusion seeing some unknown faces there. An middle-aged couple along with a girl in her mid 20s were seated there with Avantika, busy in deep conversation.
"Hello, auntie." Abhi greeted avantika with a cheeky grin. He walked upto her and gave her a hug. Avantika smiled in glee and hugged him tightly.
"What are you doing here? Didn't you had your basketball match?" Avantika asked him. She pulled him and made him sit beside her.
"I had but di brought me here forcefully. I tell you, you guys are spoiling her." Abhi answered in mocked serious tone. He turned to his sister and gave a death glare to her.
"Nautanki." Taani muttered under her breathe.
"Auntie, is she rey's fiance?" Taani turned to the girl who had asked avantika about her.
"Yes, beta. She is taani, my rey's taani. And taani beta, you might not remember them but they are our old friends and neighbor. They are Smriti & Guatam and She is kriya their daughter and Rey & swayum's childhood friend. The trio were inseparable in the childhood." Avantika introduced her to the new guests. Taani smiled at them politely, they were distanced memory to her. She hardly remember anything related to them but she knew the ghai's were and still are pretty close to singhania's and shekhawat's.
Taani sat on the couch beside her brother.
"Where were you at that time when jiju & bhai were playing best friend - best friend with her?" Abhi asked his sister in hushed tone.
"Probably playing in our backward with my dolls." Taani replied in barely audible tone but loud enough for her brother to hear.
"Yea! How could i forget you used to like being alone then playing with other kids. You know sometimes i really used to thought you are possessed or something." Abhi muttered under his breathe earning a smack on back of his head.
"Dumbo, don't you know they are elder than me. They had their own group of friends and i don't like to force myself on anyone and i had some really good friends in childhood." Taani defended herself. Abhi narrowed his eyes. They sat there quietly while ghai's talk to avantika for some more time before they left for their home.
"Auntie, can i have something to eat? Di didn't even let me have my snack."
"Aw. Mera baccha. Wait i'll make your favorite pizza." Avantika replied with a sweet smile.
"You don't have to, mom." Came a voice from behind. They all turned around and found Rey standing there.
"I knew abhi was coming so i brought pizza for us." Rey came and placed the pizza boxes on the table. Taani look up at him, a small smile was touching her cheeks. Her respect for him grew every moment, the way he respect and treat her family as his, touch her heart.
"No wonder you are my favorite person. You know if you were a girl, i would have marry you without any second thought." Abhi spoke dramatically as he got up and hugged Rey tightly. Taani hit her forehead and look at her younger brother, who never let go his crazy antics.
"Child marriage is still illegal, champ." Rey let out a chuckle.
"We could have got married secretly." Abhi replied with tongue in cheek.
"Lets have pizza, champ." Rey suggested. Abhi nodded and grabbed a box of pizza and slumped down the couch lazily. They all enjoyed their pizza party with joking around.

It was night time, Avantika was in kitchen preparing for dinner while Abhi was helping her where as Rey pulled his fiance to his room, to spend some alone time with her. They were laying on his bed, his arms wrapped around her in possessive grip. Taani was smiling to herself, her fingers playing with the buttons of his shirt.
"Rey, do you know Ghai's are back. They came to meet mom today." Taani told him, starting off the conversation.
"I know. Kriya contacted me & swayum yesterday and told us." Rey mumbled causing her to frown as her mind registered his words.
"You were in touch with her?" Taani couldn't help but question him since he had never told her about Kriya.
"Few years back she met swayum in london, thats how we got in contact again." Rey answered to her, taani hummed in response.
"Leave about that and tell me, what do you wanna do tomorrow? I have an off from office."
"I don't know." She mumbled softly.
"How about a movie date?" Rey suggested after lots of thinking.
"But you don't like movies and we should do something which we both will enjoy." Taani said to him innocently while he couldn't help but smile at her. He rolled over the bed, taking her fragile frame beneath him.
"You care so much about me, huh?" His voice was seductively husky, sending shiver down her spine. He inched close to her, decreasing the gap between their lips. Taani clutched his shirt tightly as his lips brushed against hers.
Rey closed his eyes before he let his feelings took over his senses. He captured her lips in heart searing passionate kiss. Taani wrapped her arms around him as she reciprocated his kiss with same intensity as his. Her heart was beating loudly against her ribcage, his close proximity was driving her crazy with some unknown emotions she is yet to know.
There was a knock on the door which led to the couple to pulled away from each other. Taani untangled herself from him while smiling shyly, she got up and sat up on the bed where as Rey went to open the door. Rey smiled when he found Abhi standing outside the room with his chef hat on.
"Hello, Chef." Rey greeted him.
"Hello, jiju. Dinner is ready." Abhi told him with a cheeky grin.
"We will there in 10 minutes." Rey replied to him.
"And tell my delicate doll to not be late." Abhi told him before he turned around and walked away from there. Rey closed the door and turned to her who was seated on the bed looking through the messages in her cell phone.
"Rey, can i go for shopping with kate tomorrow?" Taani asked him after seeing the message from kate about the same. Rey stare at her, she was looking at him with hopeful eyes and he couldn't bring himself to shatter her hope.
"Alright. But take security with you." Rey replied to her after lots of thinking. Taani squealed in happiness, she got up and hugged him tightly expressing her happiness. Rey let out a chuckle and hugged her back, squeezing her in his arms.
"Lets go, its time for dinner." Rey mumbled. Taani gave a small nod as she pulled away from him. Hand in hand they walked out of the room and went downstairs in dinning area for dinner.
