'Geet' to re-run on Star Life Ok
Star TV's hugely popular drama Geet - Hui Sabse Parayi' is returning on Star Life Ok next month, BizAsia can confirm.
The show, originally aired on Star One and ran successfully between 2010 and end of 2011. It starred Gurmeet Chodhary and Drashti Dhami.
Geet' is about a happy, lively, fun loving girl who hails from a small town in Punjab. She belongs to a close-knit, traditionalist family which upholds honor, respect and dignity above all else. The story begins with Geet's wedding. Her family is ecstatic as they have found the perfect match for their daughter - a young, successful NRI, who brings with him the promise of a bright and happy future. But on the behest of the boy's family, the wedding is kept a low key rushed up affair.
This will be the second re-run show on Star Life Ok after the recent success of Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon' in the afternoon slot. Geet' will run at 14:30 Monday through to Friday, starting Monday 12th August.
