Ch 16 : Bossy

Rey let his intensified gaze linger over her while she continued to tend his injuries, forgetting her own pain & fears. It was something he loves, her unconditional love. He doesn't need her words to tell him about his feelings. He could feel it in her every gesture.

After she was done, she kept the first aid box on the side table and got up to leave, not being able to withstand his intense gaze. Rey got hold of her hand and pulled her toward him, causing her to fall on his lap. He wrapped a protective arm around her.

"Where do you think you are going?" Rey raised his one eyebrow at her questioningly.

"To get a coffee for you." Taani answered softly.

"I don't need one." Rey mumbled while playing with her soft curls. He leaned and nuzzled his face in crook of her neck, causing a sigh to escape her lips.

"You want to talk about whatever happened tonight?" Rey asked her softly, gently nipping at her earlobe.

Taani closed her eyes as events that took place earlier, came back to her, making her shudder in fear remembering his ruthless act. It was still new to her and she couldn't bring herself to believe that her lovable Rey can be so ruthless.

"Why were you so angry back then? I didn't liked it." Taani murmured, nervously playing with her fingers.

"Are you serious, taani? They were there to take you away from me. How could you expect me to be calm? They deserved worse than what they got." Rey growled lowly. He tighten his hold around her and pulled her impossibly close to himself.

Taani placed her palm on his cheek, to calm him since she doesn't want him to get angry. Rey muzzled his face in her silky locks, inhaling in her fruity fragrance which had calming affect over him.

"Till i am alive, no one can hurt you." Rey whispered in her ear.

"But Rey, why does Rajesh khanna's daughter want you so badly that she is willing to harm others?" Taani asked him innocently, battling her eyelashes as she stare at him for an answer.

"I honestly don't know whats going on with her & her father. But you don't worry, I will handle it." Rey assured her with a smile. Taani hummed in response and rested her head against his chest as she snuggled up in his arms, feeling much better after talking to him.

Communication was the only that was lacking in their relation since start and now when they had started to communicate with each other, she was more than comfortable around him and could speak to him with out hesitation.

"I am sleepy." Taani mumbled.

"Do you want to change into something comfortable?" Rey asked her softly.

"But i don't have anything else to wear." Taani replied back.

"Don't worry about that, I have already arranged everything." Rey told her, taani lifted her head and look at him with questioning gaze.

"When i bought this apartment, i got everything arranged for us, all the necessary stuff and clothes are here." Rey explained her. Taani grinned in response, she loves how he always take care of her comfort.

She got off his lap and ran to the closet, she opened the closet, her jaw dropped finding the closet filled up with their clothes. The closet was divided into two sections, one had her stuff while other had his. Taani went through her night wears before she chose a one knee length silk nightie.

"But Rey why did you brought his apartment? Its not like we're going to live here forever-" Taani asked him confusingly as she turned to look at him.

"I needed an exclusive place for us to spend time together away from everyone. Our families are lovely, respect our space but still, it gets awkward when they tease us to no end." Rey replied to her query.

"Tease us? Its me who face their never ending teasing. You just make that angry face and scare them off before they could tease you." Taani pouted as she complained like an annoyed child who got blamed of something she hadn't done.

"Not my fault that you are such a softy." Rey mumbled, smirking at her. Taani stuck her tongue out at him and went in washroom to change.

"Pagal." Rey let out a chuckle, amused seeing her antics.

Next morning she woke up and frowned finding herself alone in the bed. Taani got down from the bed and looked around for him, and when she didn't found him anywhere, she walked out of the room.

She walked in kitchen while rubbing her eyes with back of her hands. Her brows knitted when she found him there in the kitchen.

"Rey, what are you doing here so early?" Taani asked him sleepily.

"I am making us breakfast." Rey replied to her. Taani walked upto him and stand beside him.

"Let me help you." Taani murmured. She tried taking the knife from the stand but he caught her hand.

"No. You need to go and get ready. We have to leave in half an hour, i have an important meeting so before that i will drop you home." Rey told her making her frown at him.

"I can go home alone. I am not a kid anymore." Taani pouted.

"That i know, jaan. But I'm not taking any risk after last night." He replied with seriousness lacing his tone. Rey pecked her lips softly causing her to turn beetroot red which earned a chuckle from him.

"Now go. I will handle everything here." Rey told her.

"You are such a bossy." Taani mumbled, she stomped her foot childishly and went away from there.

"Come to my office someday, you will start finding this behavior of mine nicest & sweetest." Rey yelled so that she could hear him.

"Thats why i pity your employees the most." He heard her faint response and chuckled. He could feel the hesitancy & awkwardness leaving their relation. She was more open up to him and he was glad.
