Producer Yash Patnaik is quite happy with initial journey of his new Sony show Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, which has just completed 100 episodes. "We have not even properly started the love story between Dev (Shaheer Sheikh) and Dr.Sonakshi (Erica Fernandes), the mother Ishwari (Supriya Pilgaonkar) only has an hint. Even we were surprised that we could last 100 odd episodes efficiently with so much little story being used up. Till now we have only played with moments, the real plot will unravel now with challenges coming to the fore. Here I wish to assure our fans that we will never tinker with the original essence of the narrative which is being loved by all. What is really most satisfying is the fact that we experimented with the story, characters, looks, and play out, and the risk paid off, normally it does not. Another positive is that we are getting rave reviews from Twittarti, Facebookers and other social media eagles, who normally don't watch TV."
Talking about the show's perfect casting, this well known producer says, "Supriya ji fits the role of the mother to the T and Shaheer brings out the much required innocence and emotions with elan."
What about lead actress Erica? "She was quite raw when she first came onboard, we really had to work on her. For her grammar was different given her previous south film background. But she is doing a good job, so well worth the efforts."
Remind him that the numbers of the show are not so great and he puts up a brave face saying,"TRP is not only about reach and time spent alone. We also need to factor in appreciation. We deserve much more then the what we are raking in right now, but who am I to demand? I can just put in more hard work and hope for things to change, which I am sure they will."
In closing he asks Kuch Rang fans to, "Please keep watching the show with same amount of love, so we can celebrate several hundred more episodes."
