Why are Khans so afraid of clash and only release films on Holidays?

It has been very apparent that most khans release their films on Holiday (oblvy for business reasons), but majority of them are afraid to release on a non-holiday. If you had starpower you wouldn't be afraid of not release it on a non-holiday. SRK released Fan and it did not do so well. Salman (this guy should just disapear from the world, disgusting man) releases his films only a week before or week of holiday.
