I feel this is the problem we all face with this show. This show for all the time it isn't showing ShraMan is full of non-sense these days. But just for those few minutes of ShraMan, we do anything, quite literally π And I think what better example than today's episode?
The ring scene probably has to be the most logicless scenes in the past few days. First of all a men's gold ring with cut diamonds never comes as costly as 80000 bucks. Unless you are buying a solitaire, you can easily get a cut diamond ring with pure gold base within 30K. I dont know if cvs havent ever bought a ring or something but they can atleast check online prices π€ And then about American Diamonds...I mean please dude are you guys serious? American diamonds are fake, who buys them for engagement and then an american diamond ring worth 20000 bucks π²π You can get an American diamond necklace plus bangles along with the ring in that price. I so didnt understand the logic of the scene. Atleast they could have made it more relaistic by showing that Sumo selects a a gold ring but Shravan selects a solitaire. Kamini ke words mein kahoon to kuch bhi ainvainyi π₯±
Secondly the communication gaps between the Tiwaris and the Malhotras...Uff which family does a wedding like that π₯± They dont discuss anything and just pass the information that we are visiting you tomorrow to do a rasam...I mean what is this?? The tiwaris dont even feel like discussing Preeti's future in that family. All they do at home is call friends and discuss sarees. And dont have time to discuss that how boy's mother is totally against the marriage.
And least said about Pushkar the better. I dont know where has his sense of self-respect gone? Even Varun seems to have a backbone these days but Pushkar stands totally unaffected by the bullshit happening around. π³π€’
All in all every scene minus ShraMan is torture these days. But there comes the focal point of the whole discussion...ShraMan!!! β€οΈ
Can I dare say how amazing they looked while stepping out of the Malhotra mansion And the way Shravan opened the door for Sumo, well they say it right, chivalry never goes out of style and it never fails when it comes to attracting a woman π During that one scene I was like please Sumo in sab chidiya ghar walon ko yahan chod aur iss bande ko leke bhaag jaa...just elope you two!! π They looked so damn amazing there.
Though this whole PreeKar marriage track seems such a snoozefest but the dard wala love of ShraMan is much more than beautiful. ShraMan's discussion about the ring, I would say both were right and wrong at their places. Well I think the problem with Shravan is that he somehow still lives in the world where SUmo depended upon him for everything. Somehow helping her out is as natural to him as breathing. It doesnt come with any conditions. So now when she rejects his help, it makes him feel as f he has been denied his right to breathe. Being denied his fundamental duty as well as right. And ofcourse Ramnath's fueling does the job of making that hurt even more deep. But then I feel even this is important. Shravan has to understand that Sumo is no longer just his childhood friend. She is a woman who has overcome so many obstacles in life all by herself and always stood tall for her family and her self-respect. This is not about ego. This is about her existence, about her character. And in any case she gives up on her character to seek his help or pursue him, even he won't be able to respect that. So ya, if its has to be this way, so it be.
And ofcourse last but not the least, the ring getting stuck scene...just loved it to bits β€οΈ What a beuatiful analogy being drawn there. Sumo remembers Ramnath's words and internally gets hurt that makes her pull the ring with force thereby hurting Shravan. Thats exactly what is happening to them in real, Ramnath's tricks and conditions are hurting Suman and in that hurt she is ending up hurting Shravan. That is what makes even Shravan say, "What you are doing, I am in a lot of pain" Gosh the feeels of that scene...Namik's epic voice modulation *bows down* π Even in a simple sentence he brings that tinge of pain so subtly. Just loved both their expressions in that scene and even when Sumo puts bandage in front of everyone. Another epic moment. Ramnath is simply stunned π Ye banda aajkal kitna dara hua rehta hai by god ππ
At the end I can only say amidst all the pain in the ass, the dard of ShraMan's love was totally worth it and pretty well deserved by us for jhelofying jokers like PreeKar, Kamini and Ramu
