Ram Gopal Varma Ki TV Serials
Adlabs has tied up with Ram Gopal Varma and formed ZPC, which will work on the lines of RGV's now defunct production company Factory. As Adlabs plans to venture into television software, it has offered Ramu the post of Programming Head of their Television Programme Division.
Industry sources inform, "The Anil Ambani group owned Reliance Company's Adlabs is showing full faith in Ramu's creative abilities and is supporting him not only by co-producing his films but also helping him out to come out of his financial mess. The offered big post gives the prolific filmmaker complete freedom to implement his ideas and develop television content."
Adlabs top bosses are keen to have Ramu on board but the Satya maker is taking his time to give his nod. Sources close to the filmmaker however disclose he might just give it a go ahead very soon as there is not much happening on the film front with his Sarkar sequel with the Bachchans being complete and its release postponed to May. There is only one film that he is been planning, Contract, with an all newcomers cast with his pet theme of underworld as the backdrop. After three back to back debacles - the much hyped Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, spooky thriller Darling and a listless Go, Ramu is on the back seat and is trying out various options to make a splashing comeback. Television is the safest bet where he can try out his experimental streak and end up making wonders without the risk of heavy losses – financial as well as to his reputation.
