TOI-'Balika Vadhu' ends on July 31-Discuss Here

It's curtains for one of the longest running television shows 'Balika Vadhu'. Launched in 2008, the show will air its last episode on July 31, thereby completing eight years. Reveals a source associated with the show, "We have been informed about the decision. The unit will shoot the last episode around July 22. The show has run its course and it will make no sense to drag it any further." Apparently, low ratings is also a reason behind the decision. The makers brought back veteran actress Surekha Sikri recently in a hope to regain lost ground, but it didn't work.

It's all the cvs doing side lined Avinash and made this Ruslan the male lead they thought to announce Avinash as the male lead and when they thought ok they have pulled some of Avinash fans to the the show let's side line him and make this 2nd rate actor as the male lead ( does he know some one in the cvs group?)--reason I say this is he did not bring ant ratings for the show ---as does not have much fan following

Good news. Thanks for sharing. Not unexpected though.

The show actually ended in January 2015, when they killed one of the most prominent characters and filled Anandi's life with unending miseries. From there it was nothing but a rubber being stretched beyond its limits with most illogical and bizzare twists.

Wish the makers have realized it at the right time that the show has run its course.

Nonetheless, it was a path breaking show in its golden days which gave Indian television few of its most memorable characters and made all of the actors household names. It will always remain close to my heart!!

I don't think anyone will be surprised by this news because everyone was expecting this

Still used to watch till anandi was alive with an expectation kabhi Ansh Ki Ansh Ki story dikhai de kabhi anandi remembers shiv got some glimpses
But post April 2016 the cast story was pukish
Neither Avinash nor rushlan neither the great lead heroine could hold trp
But wise decision how long can you keep the fat
I will remember balika for Shyam shugna for Sumi bhairo choti aji n Jaggu
Basant gehna the villian Jagya the vamp Gauri bad girl Sanchi Sanchi n
Above all Ansh

Sad, but not surprised.
A good show came to an end not expected to be like such.
Actors wee good, but the story was not well written. They could have Nadini a more mature and intelligent girl showing her like an IPS officer and giving Kundan thousand slaps.

The characters let down the show , not the actors.

Anyway I will watch the show for remaining period.
