Sorry for this stupid question, but I was not a regular viewer of this show.

Last year it was shown that Nikhil was the father of Tanu's child and he wanted her in his life.

So now why is helping Tanu get married to Abhi? Has his fatherly love all gone

Nikhil was supporting Tannu once he figured out her fiance is Abhi.. and that Abhi is rich! He thought he and Tannu will have Abhi's wealth once she marries him and divorces him.
Now he is thinking of becoming the CEO or Abhi's empire/owning it.

He is doing all this to acquire Abhi's wealth, basically.
