Designer diary: Spanish Sojourn

I've struck number 5 off my bucket list. I landed in Spain for the IIFA, in the capital city Madrid, with my boss, Salman Khan, who now sports a fab haircut.
What I didn't expect at the airport was mayhem. The crowds and their dhakkam-dhukki meant his poor mom got tossed around, but we managed to get into our cars somehow and drive to our hotel. The city felt like London, with the big fountains and the parks and the cobblestone bylanes -- I instantly fell in love with the city.
Hectic press conferences followed (they lost his suit and I had to whip up something last-minute). At the Rocks event, Deepika Padukone sat next to the boss (I like that!). He in grey and she in black (Uff! They make a fab couple!).
Then came the after-party with Sonakshi Sinha, Kabir Khan, Daisy Shah, Elli Avram, Sohail Khan, Sooraj Pancholi, Fawad Khan, PC, Huma Quereshi, Riteish Deshmukh, Karan Johar, Bobby Deol et al..., so the party really rocked.
Then came the shopping and eating paella (the Spanish pulao) and soon, it was down to the final act where PC danced to Pinga and brought the house down. Hrithik was fab, too (heard he is off with his boys on a holiday to South Africa, love this single father status ) as were Tiger and Sona, but the ones that set the stage on fire were Deepika and the boss. The whole arena was screaming and shouting. Electrifying!
So, it was lunching and dining and party all the time and since my sweet friend Seema Khan, her sister, her mother and mother-in-law were all there -- we all had a ball. My best buys there were a local hand-made bag I got for my niece and a water tap fountain I got for my house.
Also, hats off to Tusshar Kapoor for having a baby and becoming a single parent (details later ). For now, it's back to work on Tubelight. What's that? Hmmm...
