It's a true sign of superstardom when the biggest of films from every language and industry, make way to give a competition free' release for Salman Khan's Sultan.
In May this year, Shah Rukh Khan decided not to release his film during Eid - a date which was first occupied by his keenly-awaited film Raees'. (Read: Timeline of Raees vs Sultan clash)
Then it was Tamil superstar Rajnikanth's turn. The makers of his upcoming film Kabali' were first targeting the Eid weekend, but later decided to release their film 10 days after Sultan.
Sources say, even Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh decided to release his own film Sardaarji 2' a week after Udta Punjab' because it would give his film a good 2 week run before Sultan' hits screens during Eid.
Now, Reliance Entertainment too have decided not to risk their Hollywood biggie - Steven Spielberg's THE BFG - a film that was earlier scheduled for Eid, will now release on July 15.
Sultan will be the only choice for movie goers for more than week, at almost every movie theatre across India and the film is getting the widest release ever too.
Starring Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead, Sultan releases in theatres on July 6 2016.
