You are not perfect, but you are perfect for me!
The visit to Asad's grave was an emotional one. As good as they felt after visiting him, it was also overwhelming. Adarsh wondered if this had been a bad idea to go to the resort now, since after the visit to the grave, he felt exhausted and tired. But he had known how excited Swadheenta had been about spending time with him, and would do anything to make sure she continued to smile and be happy. Hence he forced himself to feel good about this trip and tried to cheer himself up.
Swadheenta had been feeling overwhelmed too. When she knew Adarsh needed her and her help to deal with his guilt and confusion, she had found a lot of energy within herself to help him through. But now, knowing that he felt alright and their recent visit to Asad's grave had left her emotionally drained. All she wanted to do was sleep and rest for a while. But she had seen how cheerful and relaxed Adarsh felt and did not want to disappoint him. After-all, this was her idea. So she tried to feel good about this trip and forced herself to enjoy.
The conversations through the rest of their journey had been light and minimal. It took them another 2 hours of driving to reach the resort. While Adarsh checked them in, Swadheenta called home to let them know they had reached. She also thanked Suhasini because the resort looked beautiful with lots of greenery, colorful flowers, and a good amount of distance between each villa to ensure the privacy of customers. Adarsh and Swadheenta walked hand-in-hand towards their villa. Once inside, they looked around the place and settled-in. It was late afternoon, and out of courtesy Adarsh offered to order for some beer and wine for them to relax. He was in no mood to drink immediately, but did not want to dampen Swadheenta's spirits. Swadheenta was also in no mood to drink, but didn't want to offend and upset Adarsh again. But she knew that even a small drink now, and she would helplessly fall asleep. Expecting to see him disappointment, but helpless nevertheless, she offered
Adarsh, instead of alcohol, can we order some tea or coffee. I think I will sleep right away if I drink at the moment
What? Are you feeling alright?
Yes, yes. I feel fine. But I.... she didn't know how to continue without hurting him.
Looking at Swadheenta and how pale she looked at the moment, Adarsh guessed that she was also probably as overwhelmed as him. Sensing a tiny ray of hope, he added while smiling
But you think you want to sleep for a bit before enjoying the evening?
Swadheenta looked at him expecting to see him sad, but was pleasantly surprised to see him smiling..
You too?
Oh man, I have been thinking about how I can say this to you from the time we left the grave.
What? I have been pretending to feel all chirpy and peppy since we left from there.
Both of them laughed at their efforts to make the other happy. Adarsh then walked to her and held her hand, Swadheenta, what happened between us now, it was small, and it was cute. We wanted to make each other happy, even if it meant a little bit of discomfort for ourselves. But I don't want this to become a norm between us. We should be able to talk through these things without wondering how the other will feel, don't you think?
No. I don't think so. This is normal Adarsh. We are newly weds. As much as we love each other, we are still getting used to each other. I think it is normal for us to want to make the other comfortable, particularly considering what we have been through these last few weeks. She then looked at him naughtily, And don't worry. A few years down the line, you will remember these days fondly, and will hope that you could re-live them.
Adarsh smiled at her thoughtful response. Will you always be the smarter one between us?
Of-course! Haven't you learnt this from seeing your mom and dad through out your life. Wife's are always smarter than their husbands!
Adarsh pretended to be very sad. Ok! I know I am a stupid and senseless man. Fine
Swadheenta who knew he was joking smiled, walked up to him, pulled him to herself and gave him a tight kiss on his cheek. And then, she whispered in his ears Let us get our rest for a bit. Then, we will see who wins, the lion or the lioness!
Adarsh had been surprised by her comment, but very pleasantly. Oh, so you still think you have a chance at winning. Not bad, I applaud your confidence.
Too much loose talk Mr. Sinha. We will see in a few hours.
Let us not tell anyone that the first time we were relaxed and together together as a husband and wife, all we wanted to do was sleep. I don't think that is anyone idea of romantic. Both of them laughed a hearty and peaceful laugh.
Adarsh immediately called and made some spa appointments for the both of them. After a nice and relaxing massage, they had slept for a few hours.
Swadheenta woke up 3 hours later to see that the room was lit with candles all around her. She sat up on bed and looked at how pretty everything looked. She looked around for Adarsh and did not find him anywhere. Adarsh? Adarsh? No response.
She got off the bed to see that her feet landed on rose petals. If you told her a few years ago about an ambiance and a set-up like this, she most certainly would have called it cheesy. But at the moment, she felt like a queen. Will she react like this to anything to man does? Smiling to herself, she walked around the room calling out to him. Adarsh? Where are you? All of this will seem prettier with you by my side! Adarsh? Still no response!
Sighing, she started walking back towards the bed when she saw a gift-wrapped packet on the couch. She walked towards it still looking around for any signs of him, and picked it up. The note on the packet read "You may not have a preference in color, but I do. Mom's gift next. Wear this one first. Please. Love, Paithyam (for you)". She felt a chill run through her spine. He wasn't even around, but he was making her feel like this. Slowly she opened the packet to see a knee length shocking pink lace-trim slip. Swadheenta felt giddy with excitement and could feel a raw need in her. Adarsh? She sensed that she was getting restless, restless for him. Damn him! You know he is an insufferable man and that he likes to torture you. Why do you still expect things from him you idiot? She admonished herself. Then, she walked to the washroom to freshen up and change.
When she came out of the washroom wearing the outfit that he had picked after a quick shower, she noticed that there were some additional flowers in the room. She looked around the dimly lit room with only the light from the candles. Adarsh? She was slowly walking towards the flowers when she felt a strong arm snake her midriff! She breathed in and held her breath. He pulled her to plaster her back against his chest and inhaled her scent. Slowly, in a sultry voice he whispered in her ears Not just do you look amazing, you smell amazing too!
She couldn't take it anyone and turned around and hugged him tight. With her face now pressed against his chest, she placed a passionate kiss on his heart. I want to play around and tease you for making me wait for you for this long. But I know that I will be punishing myself more by doing that, and I cannot give you that pleasure. She kissed him on his heart again and looked up to see his face. With one arm around his neck, and another now cradling his jaw, she looked at him with all the love I need you. I need you now!
The next instant he carried her to bed with her legs snaked around his midriff and her kissing him senseless. He put her on bed and started unbuttoning his shirt. As restless and eager as she was, she couldn't wait for him to undo his buttons and got up to pull his shirt apart. Before he could react, she pulled him to herself and kissed him again. The next few minutes they explored each other passionately. After their initial restlessness lessened, they parted to regain their breath. "Swadheenta," he murmured, brushing her lips with his. Gently he explored her face with his fingers, taking his time this time around, as if he had never seen it before and might never again.
The sudden change in intensity had unwillingly left her apprehensive. She smoothed the damp hair from his temples. Make me yours Adarsh she pleaded with a little doubt, apprehension and nervousness as she looked deep into his eyes.
He was quickly reminded of everything that he had done to her these last few weeks. I am sorry for everything that I did these last few days
She stopped his lips with a quick, clinging kiss that scattered his troubled thoughts like dead ashes. We've gone beyond sorry's and promises. Please, please forget everything but this moment.
She drew his head down and kissed his forehead as his hard body claimed hers with a fierce need, then slowly fulfilled it with piercing intensity.
A few minutes later, they sat in bed, still trying to catch their breath, with her bare back plastered against his check while his arms engulfed. He pushed her hair onto one side from her shoulder and placed a sensuous kiss there as he said, I know that I have to make it up to you on so many counts. Contrary to what you believed earlier, I am hardly perfect! But please, be with me like this, always
She turned around in his arms and faced him and she gently held his jaw. Smiling, she said You are certainly not perfect. But you are perfect for me. I am never leaving your side, ever. She sealed this promise with a loving kiss!
