I agree and respectfully disagree with you about some points. Ishita is the face of injustice on the show but story wise Raman is the biggest victim bc he has been made the impetuous of drama.
Indian TV standards are clearly this - men cannot be effective, decent people - fathers, sons, etc - without a woman. That's why there was no chance of single Raman bc they need Shagun to stay the contrast to Ishita. It's pathetic but it's the formula for all major shows, especially EK ones.
Additionally while I get you are frustrated, yesterday's scenes don't relate to this issue & don't have a role in this discussion about ruining surrogacy, IVF, & fatherhood for drama in my very honest opinion. The scene that you mentioned about Mihika could've played out similarly regardless of how leap/family breakdown came about.
They ruined infertility when they magically made Ishita pregnant and then they began to ruin IVF, surrogacy, etc.
Even the idea of getting help from a fertility specialist was made a joke...when 2 adults, one being a doctor & the other a CEO, sought medical help for fertility on the encouragement of a child...prior to having sex...like that itself is a joke.
After Ishita's miracle pregnancy a few mere weeks after Big C...I expressed my genuine personal hurt about this but was told "miracles happen," "it's creative liscence," "stop whining," etc. Why was that?
To me personally that event was the first and biggest slap bc it made Ishita not infertile when the story up until that point deserved much more delicacy with the treatment of Ishita's pregnancy track. Now what you are seeing is a false labeling and using of infertility for namesake.
So what was different about Ishita being magically pregnant and secret surrogacy in terms of insults to infertile women? Both in the end the same thing and made a joke of this condition that actually affects many more than you would imagine
Infertile people spend thousands on treatment bc many don't get miracles like IshRa did
So while I agree with you to a degree - I think the problem stems much earlier than this leap
This leap honestly just used crass dialogs for drama and does nothing for infertility bc on the show right now - technically Ishita is not infertile.
They use these bold social issues - infertility, infidelity, rape, etc - as mere TRP garners & we can't do anything about it but stop watching
