Ranbir and I Got Along Like a House on Fire - Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was last seen in Sarbjit, is gearing up for her next film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, her first with Karan Johar. In a chat with a daily, when Aishwarya was asked as to what took her so long to work with KJo, she revealed, "Karan often told me, You are meant to be in my film.' It didn't happen all these years. Finally, we are working together."

Karan had approached Aishwarya when he was working on his debut film as a director - Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. But, she rejected it. When asked about it, she says, "I couldn't do the movie because I was shooting for Aa Ab Laut Chalen (AALC; 1999). I was on a 40-day schedule in the US. It was Chintu uncle's (Rishi Kapoo) first film as a director. I'm a fan of his, and I looked up to him. I just couldn't mess things up with him."

KJo had also approached Aishwarya for Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, but things didn't work out. "He narrated the story and told me about the character, but we didn't end up working together. We almost worked on another movie, but that too didn't take off. He narrates stories of most of his films to me... he is family. After hearing this script, both of us smiled. It was special," says the actor.

In Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Aishwarya will be seen sharing the screen space with Ranbir Kapoor. When asked about the experience, the gorgeous actress admits, "I met Ranbir on the sets after many years. He is adorable. He was assisting Chintu uncle on AALC. Now we are working together. We got along like a house on fire. He has an amazing sense of humour."

Ash was one actress I always wanted to see opposite Ranbir. But if its an extended cameo I dont know what to expect 😕 Anushka is a really fine actress but I didnt find their chemistry sparkling enough in BV
