Ch 27 : His Prized Possession

"Swayum, why aren't you going to goa?" Rey asked him. It was night time and they met at their usual hanging spot, tea stall near his house.

"Well, Its not like i don't want to, but these days my and sharon's relationship is going through rough patch. She is going through emotional turmoil since Kriya is coming back and she is worried for her. I want to be here for her and i don't think, i will be able to enjoy there." Swayum told him truthfully. He & Sharon were in trial relationship from past 4 months and still there were no improvement in their relationship which has started to take toll on him. He feels like he failed in his promise to make her fall for him.

"By the way, how do you know about the trip?" Swayum asked him.

"Thats because i am going as well." Rey answered him, surprising him yet again.

"Really? You are going with Ron and Taani?" Swayum asked him to confirm, Rey nodded his head. Swayum felt weird seeing Rey's closeness with his siblings specially with taani but shrugged it off, may be he is over thinking.

"Swayum, i have to leave now. I have to pack for the trip." Rey said to him, swayum nodded and they both left for their respective houses.

Ronak entered his sister's room in the evening.

"Di, Are you ready? Rey bhai is here, we have to leave-" Ronak said to taani.

"Yes, Ron. Lets go." Taani smiled at her brother. She went to pick her luggage bags but her brother beat her to it and grabbed her bags, making her smile.

They both walked out in living area where Rey along with Rishi and Swayum was seated. Rishi got up and moved toward his daughter.

"Princess, promise me that you will take care of yourself?"

"I promise, daddy. And keep my birthday gift ready once i come back, i want it." Taani told her father, grinning ear to ear.

"Sure, princess. A special gift will be waiting for you." Rishi answered. He kissed her forehead and hugged her. Swayum moved toward her and hugged her.

"Enjoy your trip and happy birthday in advance." Swayum smiled down at her, taani returned the smile though a part of her was sad since he wasn't coming, but she understand his reasons.

Ronak, Rey and Taani bid adieu to them and left for goa in Rey's SUV.

Late at night, they reached Goa.

"Bad news, guys! There is only one room available." Rey said to taani and ronak as he returned back from the hotel receptionist with the room key.

"What should we do now?" Ronak raised his one eye brow at him questioningly. Since it was summer season, they doubt they will get rooms in any other good hotel.

"We can share the room. What say taani?" Rey asked her, to know if she is comfortable in sharing room with him. For her, her comfort matters the most.

"Thats alright with me." Taani answered, though it would be little awkward to share room with them, specially him, but she doesn't have any other option either.

"Are you sure?" Rey asked her again to confirm. Taani gave an assuring smile to him.

"Cool! Lets go in room then." Ronak beamed, making the duo smile at him.

Taani stepped out of the washroom after changing into her night PJs, she moved toward the bed on which Rey and Ronak were spread on the bed and busy in their respective cell phones. Taani groaned mentally, another reason she finds weird to share her room with these two.

"Guys, make some space for me too and keep your cell phones away." Taani scolded them, they both look at each other than at taani before they silently kept their cell phones away on the side table, not wanting to become victim of her anger.

"And are you sure three of us will be able to sleep comfortably on the bed?" Taani asked them.

"Yep! Now come here." Ronak replied, he patted the space next to him. Taani lay down on the bed, Ronak was in the middle with taani on one side and rey on the other one.

"Where will we go tomorrow?" Taani asked them, since they are the planners of this trip and she has no idea about anything in goa.

"There is a beach party tomorrow, we will be attending that." Rey answered her. Taani hummed in response.

"Good night, guys. I am sleepy now." Taani mumbled, she wrapped her one arm around ronak since her fractured hand was still not completely alright, she closed her eyes to sleep.

"Good night." Rey and Ronak spoke in low tone, Rey switched off the lights and closed his eyes to sleep, but sleep was far away from his reach. He was excited for tomorrow, and he has all plans to make this trip memorable for her, for them.
