Ch 24 : Shadows Of The Past
The dance team members who came visit her in the hospital bid adieu and left from the hospital. Now she was alone in her room with Rey.
"Rey, when will i get discharge?" Taani asked him, starting a conversation with him. Rey came and sat on the stool beside her bed.
"An hour more. Doctor will run few tests on you to ensure everything is fine with you then you can go home." Rey answered her. She pouted in response at the mention of few more tests to be done on her. She was hating her stay in hospital more than anything.
She look at him who's eyes were trained on her, observing her every move. They were gazing at each other, looking deeply into each others eyes. She was surprised to see so many emotions in his eyes which she failed to name at that moment Or may be she knew those emotions yet chose to ignore because she don't want to raise her hopes again.
She shouldn't. She shouldn't dream about something that can never be hers, she had understand that and is trying her best to not to lose control over her emotions and hurt him & herself as well in the process.
Serene silence engulf them which was broken by Rishi who entered the room with a box of chocolates in his hands. When Rey saw him, he got up from his place and greeted him with a smile which Rishi returned. He was beginning to like him alot, to him, Rey was a perfect guy who respect elders and is always there to help. He was kind too, and reminds him of ranvijay.
"Good morning, daddy!" Taani smiled at her father, Rishi hugged his daughter while taking care not to hurt her fractured hand.
"Chocolates!" Taani squealed in happiness when her gaze fall over the box of chocolates in her father's hand. She grabbed it quickly and look at her father with a wide grin.
"Thank you, daddy." Taani beamed.
Rey smiled seeing her happy. By now he knew she is the most pampered kid of her family and it urge him to pamper her more. And he knew he will love pampering her.

Taani smiled as she entered her house after getting discharge from the hospital. Rishi took her in her room and made her lay down on the bed.
"Princess, if you need anything call me or anyone else. And don't put pressure on your hand, okay?" Rishi said to her, making her nod at him in return.
"Rey, swayum, you both can go to college. Its not good to miss your classes. Me and Ron are here." Rishi turned to swayum & rey and said to them.
"Haa. Please don't miss college because of me. I am perfectly alright now." Taani said to them, the duo look at each other then nodded, knowing college is important too, specially with final exams nearing.

"Hey, Guys!" Rey and Swayum greeted their friends as they entered the rehearsal hall where all had assembled.
"Swayum, hows taani now?" Vicky asked him.
"She is alright now." Rey answered before swayum could, earning suspicious looks from others.
"Rey, we asked swayum, then why are you answering?" Simmi giggled as she questioned him. Rey forced a smile on his while cursing himself for being impulsive and over hyper, but he couldn't blame himself completely since he had always been like this when it comes to taani.
"Thats good! Hope she recover soon." Sharon mumbled with a smile. Others nodded in response then they all got busy in talking to each other where as sharon was lost in her thoughts. She had been hiding a big truth about her life from them and she couldn't dealt with the guilt anymore.
"Guys! I want to talk to you all about something." Sharon started off, gaining their attention. They all turned to her and waited for her to continue.
"Few months back when i visited dad in delhi, I come to know about a truth." Sharon spoke in low yet calm tone. She knew whatever she is going to say, will blow their minds off.
"What truth, sharon?" Simmi asked her concernedly.
"About my mother. And I also have a sister." She revealed and watched how her friends stare at her in shock.
"What?" They all shouted in chorus.
"Yes. My mom & dad got married to each other but their families were against of their relationship thus my grandfather forced my dad to leave mom, but till that time mom had me and my twin sister. Due to circumstances and misunderstandings created by my grandfather, Mom left me and dad when i was one. But a year back, Dad met my mom & sister again and they reconcile, so we are back as a family now." Sharon told them and felt a burden lifted off her heart.
"Oh! Sharon, I am happy for you." Rey stepped forward and hugged his best friend. He knew how much sharon has suffered without her mother, how much she had missed her and somewhere, it had made her bitter. She had built a wall around herself, not letting anyone to see how broken, vulnerable she is. She hide her pain behind her rudeness. But he was happy to know his best friends is getting the love of the family, finally.
"Sharon, when will we get too meet your twin sister? We are quite excited to meet her-" Simmi spoke with great enthusiasm.
"You guys know her." Sharon stated with a sad smile.
"Really? Who?" Rey questioned, confusingly. Sharon look at him, not knowing how will he react after knowing about her sister.
"Its Kriya. Kriya ghai and now, Kriya Rai Prakash."

And here i go again lol..sorry but here kriya's character was kind a needed for the permanent closure of Rey's past and Kriya will be positive character. This story doesn't have any negative so far and there won't be any in future as well, I hope.
