Vivek Dahiya's Kawach beats Divyanka Tripathi's Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, becomes No. 1 TV show

Good news for groom-to-be Vivek Dahiya. He has finally got the result of his hardwork. His show Kawach, also starring Mona Singh and Maheck Chahal has got the stamp of mass approval. The supernatural show that premiered on June 11, a week after Naagin wrapped up, has clinched the top spot in its first week.
As per the data released by BARC for the week (June 11-17), the show has garnered 10,958 impressions, which is a stupendous rating to begin with. Divyanka Tripathi's Yeh Hai Mohabbatein has got the second slot with 10,431 impressions. However, the difference between the ratings of these two shows is not significant. In the coming weeks, telly fans can witness a neck-to-neck competition between DiVek.
Meanwhile, it's a good news for TV czarina Ekta Kapoor who has managed to retain her weekend viewers. A round of applause for the Kawach team!
MAHECK 'MANJULIKA' CHAHAL IS TIRED BUT HAPPY
Maheck Chahal, who plays Manjulia on the show and is shooting despite the knee injury for at least 20 days now, is tired due to her taxing schedule but nonetheless happy about the show's ratings.
"We are working hard. When your hardwork pays, you do feel happy. It always feels good to be successful and if you are getting feedback about your work it means people are watching it," said Maheck.
Kawach that airs every Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm on Colors also stars Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahi star Mona Singh.
