About that Bang bang review.. it was honest and fake.. why? Coz GOD dammn it.. I made sure I will watch it FDFS and I did.. but my employees just f**ked it up for me.. I had to get out of theatre to cover for.. not 1 but 3 ppl.. my own ppl., all the way back to home, I was on the phone.. and when I finally managed to get home and some1 else to cover for me.. my wife decided to have a fight with me. 😡 Road rage notwithstanding.. I just came on IF forum to spill the beans.. and trashed Bang bang the movie..
Yeah, I did that.. but when i calmed down and made the plan to watch BB the next day, I came here and I realised what a mistake I made. Ppl actually too my review seriously.. and me seriously.. I didnt know how to react to it.. Coz I dont get the likes for my posts here.. sometimes I think ppl dont even care what i had to say.
But that was really something.. I think one Hrithik fan said I made her cry.. and it did hit home... I really felt so bad.. coz of my reckless post. I did watch the movie the next day and absolutely loved it for what it was.. and gave the positive review.. but I think the damage was done.. from my side. It has nothing to do with BOI's 140Crs India collection to Taran Aadarsh's 177 Crs.
Ok BB is done... and now its MD after 2 freaking years. I am disappointed. But not as much when I had earplugs in my ears and laptop screen in front. In front of my home theatre which i am so pround of.. it looked great.. I mean commercial movie. Most boxes r ticked for its BO performance. But still as fan i am disappointed.. why?
I ask myself. too much to ask from Hrithik.. yes.. I think that's what it is. And I am not be blamed.. I have waited for 2 years for an HR movie.
Here is how I would have liked this trailer to be. English is not the language I have my dreams in.. but you can use your imagination and walk with my stpd lingo.. if U can.
Now, how can you make a movie from BC era? Either you go mythistic way like all the tv serials about ramayan and Mahabharat.. nobody asks if silk was invented back then.. it's just about faith and story telling.
So, if some1 like Ashutosh claim to make a movie from different era, I expect lot from him. At least a word called "surprise". Ok, it was a surprise.. just a modern day movie.. The movie could have been called Raampur or Sitapur or even Jumri tailaaiya.
so back to how I would have liked the promo to be.
2 parts of it.. one and 2 take over each other... and then the 3rd part..
One- an old ladies hands.. picking something from the ground.. old tired eyes close up.. the hands making a thread and many of them.. sewing them together.. and finally putting that top of villain's body (in this case, Kabeer bedi)
all the while, Happy go lucky HR is going from south journey.. From happy to clueless to angry...
The background music is awesome.. afterall its AR Rehman..
the 3rd part is where they unleash all the VFX power.. but it must end with those old lady's hands.. The threads should read Mohenjo Daro.. swagatam..
As i said.. let ypur imagination do what my limited English cant.. and just wonder.. old lady's hands and threads.. it can get you right back to old ages.. and it doesnt even have to the BC era..
Its all about story telling. If U read this post fully means I told a good story. How? Coz it has the beginning, middle part and the ending.
Where is the ending U might ask. I am as konfued as u r. 😆
