But when the ads for this show were first shown on TV, it caught my eye, and I waited and waited. Something about the ad promised this will be something I will love.

I wait everyday for this show...now it is one of the brightest spots in my day :).

Here are a few things I want to say especially:

1. I have never connected with Ramayan before -- story, or TV show. But this show has made me feel this story in a way I never have. I love it now...more than words can say.

2. I have never connected with Ram before. I just didn't feel a thing. He seemed too distant, too saintly...too unreal. And I always felt he treated Sita so badly...I held that against him. Now I don't know what really happened in the past...what is true and what is not, what is the reason for what, BUT, Ashish & SKR have changed everything about Ram for me. I feel connected to Ram in ways I would have never imagined. To see he can be exceedingly Divine as well as totally human is beautiful. To see that he can give up everything with a single tear that held back floods of grief with just a simple, "Bas itna hi ma?" broke my heart into pieces. To see how much he valued and loved his Sita...and to show it in so humanly, is amazing. Ashish is such a talented actor, that it feels like he can be just about anything! And none of his own personality shows at all in his characters. He seems to really become the character. I truly see only Ram when I see him. Because of how beautifully he has portrayed Ram, I have come to connect with Ram so much, that when I meditate and now repeat the name "Ram", it brings me much peace. Before this show, his name did nothing for me. Now...the word "Ram" is synonymous with "Divine", "Peace" for me. I don't think I have seen a better actor...internationally. He can say so much just with his eyes...without saying a word. Thank you Ashish for making Ram real for me...for making Ram so much a part of my life.

3. Sita -- I had never connected with her either before this show. She was mostly always portrayed as a weeping person. Again, I have NO clue how the real Sita was, but the Sita of SKR is amazing!! I love her strength. I love how she is not at all about "pati is parmeshwar...I know nothing else kinds". She stands for her rights, her dignity...and yet her love for Ram is filled with devotion. She will give him up if he does what Ravan does, but her love for him is still full of worshipfulness. And Madi is portraying all this...this powerful range of love so beautifully. I love how she used to look at Ram all starry eyed, and now in Lanka, her eyes show determination, strength, power, wisdom, love, devotion...everything. Thank you Madirakshi, for making me understand Sita in a different way. This Sita is an inspiration.

4. I have learned so much about "Love" from just watching Sita and Ram. I will be forever grateful to SKR for that.

5. I love the work of all the actors and actresses in SKR. Ravan is perfect. So is Mandodri. Everyone...each and everyone here in this show...I love them all!❤️

I hope this show will go on for a long time, even if they have to drag it. There is hardly anything to watch on TV...most things make me feel worked up, tension filled seeing everyone scheming and plotting and fighting. So I stopped watching TV mostly. But SKR has been such a breath of fresh air. Watching this show relaxes me, fills me with feelings of love, peace, devotion. May each of you be super successful in all you do!

Hey! You verbalised all that we feel about the show, ashish as Ram ..ditto ditto. Beautifully written , thanks!
