Chapter 25
RK was waiting at the airport when Bittuji gave him his ticket and passport, "Chief think once. You are doing wrong. I know bhabhiji. She will never do this." RK looked at him saying, "She will Bittuji because what I had seen, you didn't.. She still loves Abhay bhai, and I am not saying this is wrong because he is her first love. I just can't see her pain which she is getting through this relationship. I couldn't able to make my place in her heart in these months, so it's better to end the relation." "But chief.. You could think wrong also.. What if she loves you.. Did you ever express your feelings? What if she misunderstood you and..." RK glared at him and said, "Bittuji don't you think, you are speaking much." Just then they heard the announcement about the flight, RK looked at Bittuji saying, "Keep them in your mind whatever I told you." Saying this RK checked in, Bittuji thought, "Chief.. You are doing wrong.. I just hope you realize it soon."
Madhu was sitting in room, she was so much restless, she checked her phone whether RK called her or not, her mind was capture by him, did he read the letter, what was his reaction..!! Did he feel same..!! It had been one hour when RK left but till now he didn't reply anything, Madhu was anxiously waiting for his response when she heard door bell, she smiled widely and went to open it. Madhu opened the door smiling but Radha was standing there, "Maa you..??" "Why?? Did you expecting someone else??" "No. Come..!!" She let her walk in, "How's pabo??" "She is much better. You tell me how are you all, where is Rishu?" She asked looking around. "Ugh.. Maa..!! RK has outdoor shoot. He left today itself." "Oh.. Okay.." Madhu smiled and said, "Maa you might be tired, go and freshen up. I will bring tea for you." "Thank you beta." Radha took leave from there, Madhu once checked her phone but as usual no response from him. She sighed and was going to leave when again heard a knock on door, she opened the door and found Rk's lawyer Mr Khanna, "Mr Khanna you?" "Yes Mrs Kundra.." He stepped in. "RK isn't at home." She informed. "I know." Madhu looked at him confuse when he continue, "Actually I have work with you." "Me??" She scrunched her eyes. "Actually.. Ugh.. How to tell you Mrs Kundra.. Actually Mr Kundra asked me to give this paper to you." He forwarded few papers. ".. And what's the paper about?" "You please check them." He said in a low voice, Madhu curiously looked at him and then checked the papers, she was shocked seeing the papers, "Divorce papers??" She looked up at Mr Khanna. "Divorce papers? What is this?" "RK asked me to prepare these papers." Madhu sat back on sofa devastated. "No. You are lying. You must be joking." She looked up. "No Madhu.. RK came to meet me few days back when he asked me to prepare Divorce papers for his friend and asked me to prepare one more copy for himself." Madhu heard him while tears escaped from her eyes, she looked at the papers and found Rk's sign there, she broke into tears when she saw Bittuji entered, she ran to him crying, "Bittuji..!! RK.. Where's he?" Bittuji looked at Madhu, he knew why Madhu is asking about RK. "Bittuji.. I am asking something to you. Do you know what your chief had done?" She asked when Bittuji looked away and asked the lawyer to leave. "Bhabhiji.. I tried to stop.." Madhu looked at him shock, "Oh..!! So you were aware about it. But didn't bother to tell me even. Wow.. After all what can I expect from you. You are his puppet." She said disgusted. Bittuji felt bad seeing her when Madhu said, "Whatever.. Now I will confront him." Saying this she was going to leave when Bittuji said, "He left." Madhu stopped and turned at him and was going to say something when Radha walked there asking, "What happen Madhu?" She stood quiet for sometime then wiped her tears saying, "See..!! Maa.. What your son has done. He left alone, didn't even take Bittuji with him now who will take care of him there?" "Relax.. Rishu isn't kid, he will take care of himself." She assured Madhu when she faked a smile. "I am sorry maa. I lied to you but I don't want to hurt you." She thought. Radha looked at her lost and noticed the paper in her hand, she asked, "What's in your hand?" Madhu looked at her and stammered first, then said, "Nothing maa.. Some legal papers about project." She shook her head and left from there when Madhu looked at Bittuji and said, "Just do one thing Bittuji.. Whenever you contact with him please don't say anything about it. Let him come first. Let him take time how much he wants.. One day he has to come back." "But bhabhiji it will take two to three weeks." He informed. "No matter. I will wait, I would waited all this days now few days also.. I will wait." She said crying and ran to her room.
Madhu slammed the door and slide on the floor crying, she cried vigorously. She checked the papers when her eyes fall on his signature, "RK is it means you don't love me??" She cried thinking the moments which she spent with him.
After reaching to Dubai airport, RK first called Bittuji, "Yes chief? You reached?" But instead of replying to Bittuji, RK asked, "Bittuji.. Is everything alright there? Is Madhu.." But RK could ask further Bittuji said, "Chief.. I didn't visit them yet and moreover if I visit them, I will never inform you anything about bhabhiji. Chief you broke your relation with her then you shouldn't look after what she is doing or how she is.." Hearing this RK furiously cut the call. He thought, "So what I broke my relation with her, I love her and I have right to know about her." He called in landline thinking Madhu will receive so he could at least hear her voice but Radha received the call. "Hello..!!" "Maa..?" "Rishu..!! How's you beta.. Now you got time to call." Madhu who was present in the hall heard his name, she had urge feeling to hear his voice but controlled her emotions and engulfed in her work but her mind was stuck on the conversation. "Sorry maa..!! I was busy." "Okay." "Ugh..!! Maa.. Umm..!! Madhu.. Is she fine??" He asked hesitantly. "Madhu..??" Radha looked at Madhu and called her. "I am calling her, you ask yourself." Radha said to RK. "No. Maa it's okay." Meanwhile Madhu approached to Radha. "Rishu is on line. Talk with him." She forwarded the receiver to Madhu, Madhu didn't understand what to do, she helplessly took it, "Hello..!!" But RK immediately cut the call which made her furious, but controlled herself seeing Radha there who was curiously looking at her, "What happen?" "He is busy so told me he will call later." Radha smiled and took leave, Madhu cried.
Two days left just like that, RK was hell busy in shooting whereas Madhu always involved herself in works to ignore Rk's thought. Though he called Radha everyday but he didn't talk with Madhu which create a havoc in Radha's mind but whenever she asked about it to Madhu, she refused or avoid the topic. On a such day, Madhu was sitting in her room when Radha walked in and asked, "Madhu.. Do you have any balm?" "Yes maa.." Saying this Madhu was going to give but Radha stopped her saying, "No you do your work, I will take it. Tell me where it is." "In that drawer." Radha smiled and went to take it whereas Madhu continue her work. Radha took the balm when she found her legal papers, she took it and get shock seeing the divorce papers. "Madhu..??" Her voice choked, Madhu worriedly looked up and gets shock. "Maa?" She ran to her and gave support to her, she snatched the papers from her hand and made her sit nearly chair who was completely in shock. "Maa..??" Madhu bend down on floor. "Madhu..?? Divorce? What's going on?" She asked crying when Madhu told her everything. She cried thinking the pain which Madhu kept inside her through these days. "You were in so much pain and you didn't even bother to share with me?" "Maa I don't want to hurt you." "No. Madhu. You did wrong hiding this. You are not only my DIL but my daughter and I will never bear it if anyone hurt my daughter. I will ask Rishu, why did he do this.." Saying this Radha was going to leave when Madhu stopped her saying, "No maa don't do this. Let him come first. I too want my answers but not like this, Let him come." ".. But.." Radha was going to say but Madhu said, "No. Promise me, you will not say him anything, you will behave normally. Just promise me." Radha helplessly nodded. On that day when RK called Radha and asked about Madhu, she replied, "No Rishu.. She is absolutely fine. She is happy here." Her words pierced in his heart, he didn't ask anything and cut the call.
Madhu was impatiently waiting for his arrival, it's just a week only but everyday whenever Bittuji visited RK mansion, she used to ask about RK, but RK never talked about his personal life with him. On a such day, RK went to his hotel room exhausted, he was tired due to the busy schedule, he was going to take a nap when he got a call from his director who ask him to study the script as they changed few things. After talking with him, he took a cold shower and then took the took script from table when his eyes fall on Madhu's letter, he totally forgot about that letter. It had been more than a week he didn't talk with her, so just thought to read the letter, he smiled slightly and opened to read. He got the first shock, "Rishabh..!!" She never called him, she used to call him RK only. He got more curious to know what was written. He continued reading,
'Dear, Rishabh.. I don't know how to tell you but all I know, if I don't tell you today then I will not able to tell you ever. You know, I almost forgot to live after Abhay's death, life was nothing without him. I was mad that I even tried to end my life but later I agreed to marry you for family's sake, for Abhay's sake. Somewhere you too agreed to marry me for Abhay's sake. As you know, our married life wasn't take a good start, but Rishabh.. I don't know when these small fights became a part of my life, you became a part of my life.. I don't know..!! You taught me to love again, you taught me to dream again.. Dream about a perfect life. Rishabh I want to live my entire life with you, it's not because that I promised Abhay but its because I love you. I can't live without you. I love you Rishabh.. I.. Really love you.'
RK sat on the sofa, multiple emotions came through his face, he read the letter many times, he was happy that his Madhu loves him, he cursed himself why didn't he read it on that day. He just want to go to her and want to hug her tight but in next moment he realized what he had done.. But at this moment he doesn't want to think about others, he quickly grabbed the call and was going to call Madhu but stopped, "No. I should give her a surprise." He then called his director and ask him to cancel the shoot as he need to go back, but as usual they had a argument about it and at the end as usual RK won. He then called Bittuji, "Yes chief..??" "Bittuji.. I am coming tomorrow." "But chief suddenly..??" "Don't ask me much about it, just inform it to Madhu.. I mean Maa.." He quickly hung up the call. Bittuji informed at RK mansion, Madhu was happy thinking finally she can see him after a week but at the same time she was angry thinking about the divorce papers. The rest of night, they both didn't slept for a single moment.
Next day, Madhu, Radha everyone impatiently waited for Rk's arrival when Bittuji came, "Bittuji.. Did you talk with Rishu?" Radha asked. "No. I talked with him last night and I am trying his number since morning but it was switch off. You don't worry may be he is in flight." Radha nodded. It was around two hours left, but still RK didn't call Bittuji, Madhu and Radha are busy in making RK's favourite dishes whereas Mohan was watching TV when suddenly he checked the news channel, 'Dubai to Mumbai flight no. Airline A-307 had crashed due to some technical fault.' That news took Madhu's attention, hearing the news, the bowl slipped from her hand when Radha ran out from kitchen, everyone went near to TV, Radha collapsed on floor crying. "Maa.. Maa.. Don't cry. RK may not boared in that flight. I.. I will call Bittuji." Saying this Madhu was going to call Bittuji when she saw him ran inside the mansion. "Bhabhiji news.." "Bittuji.. Where's my Rishu?" Radha cried when Mohan console her. "Bittuji RK..??" Madhu asked about him when he looked down with tears in his eyes, Madhu got her answer, everyone broke into tears. "Noo..!!" Radha cried vigorously whereas Madhu went in full shock. "Auntyji its not confirm yet. Don't loose hope please." He console her and went to attend few calls when Madhu ran to her room. She cried holding his photo, "RK.. You can't leave me. I promise I will not show anger to you, please come back. Please RK." She cried.
Two hours passed, meanwhile Padmini, Malik visited RK mansion, Padmini tried to console Madhu who was crying from last two hours, Bittuji called Dubai airlines but they weren't getting any information, Mohan tried RK's number but as usual it was unavailable. When they heard a knock on door, Madhu's heart skipped, she knew it could be good or bad news, she had no courage to check when Padmini went down to check.
"Rishu??" Radha uttered his name as she saw him walked in, she ran and hugged him crying. "Maa..??" "Rishu.. How's you? That news." Everyone showered their million of questions whereas RK was least interested to give them any reply, his eyes were searching for his Madhu. He looked around when he found her standing in the balcony, seeing him fit and fine she ran inside their room. RK knew what can come next so he said, "Maa.. I will explain you everything later. First let me..." He didn't need to complete his sentence, Radha said, "Go and meet with her." RK hurried to the staircase.
RK walked in the room and found her standing near to the window, he stood behind her and called, "Madhu?" As soon as RK called her, she didn't waste a single moment and slapped him making him completely shock, she pulled him by his collar yelling, "How dare you?? Don't you have minimum sense RK? Do you know how much we are worried here... But no!! Why should you think all these? You never think about others, you always did, what you think is right. We all are getting mad here since we got the news but you didn't even bother to inform it. Why RK? What do you get by doing all this?" "Madhu.. Just listen..!!" "No. You listen to me Mr Rishabh Kundra. I heard enough, now I will speak and you have to listen. What do you want RK? Why did you always trouble me? RK do you even know, how I spent these 10 days without you? Can you realize that? You didn't bother to talk with me.. Oh yeah..!! I forgot.. Why should you? You want DIVORCE no? You want freedom? Okay fine RK.. I gave you freedom, from me.. And from relationship." Saying this Madhu went near to wardrobe, meanwhile RK stood there numb, he didn't know what to say, it was his fault but what should he do.. The circumstances wasn't in his favor. RK turned at her and saw her taking the divorce papers, she walked to him saying, "You want divorce no..??" Saying this she was going to sign on the papers when RK snatched the papers from her saying, "Will you listen to me once?" Madhu looked at him puzzle. "I know Madhu, I did wrong. I should have talk with you but.. Believe me I came to talk to you but that time I saw you talking with Abhay bhai's photo.. I thought.." "You thought.. I am not happy with you. Right?" RK looked down. "You thought I still loves Abhay." Madhu saw tears in his eyes and that was the moment when she melted, she forgot her anger, she hugged him tightly. "I am sorry Madhu.. I am sorry.. I misunderstood you." RK pulled her more closer to him and they cried. After a while later, Madhu parted from him and wiped his tears saying, "RK.. Abhay was my past but you.. You are my present and future. I don't want to loose you RK." RK smiled and kissed on her forehead with full affection, "I love you Madhu." "I love you too RK.." They touched their forehead and stayed in same position for few minutes. RK made her look at him and said, "I am sorry." She smiled saying, "You should be.. You are very bad RK." "Yes. As you see my name perfectly suits my personality.. RK.. Right Kameena..!!" He winked, when Madhu furiously looked at him and then turned other side, RK sighed. "Okay baba sorry.. Now as I did big mistake, you can punish me." Madhu smiled naughtily and turned at him asking, "Sure?" RK shook his head as he had no choice left, Madhu smiled and said, "Okay. We will see..!! Now let's go down. Everyone is waiting."
As soon as they climbed down, everyone started throwing their questions, finally getting irritated RK yelled, "Shut up..!! You all want to know the matter. So keep quiet, I will explain." Everyone looked at each other each other when RK explained, "Yes, the flight which crashed, I was supposed to board but in the last minute the director urgently called and I need to go back then I attend the next flight." He ended when Radha asked, "Then why didn't you contact us?" "Maa.. I mistakenly kept my phone's charger inside the luggage and my phone's battery was dead so I couldn't contact with you." RK said looking at Madhu who was firing at him through her eyes. He mouthed, "Sorry." She just rolled her eyes. "Radhaji.. Now we should leave." Padmini said when Madhu looked at RK who was trying to get her attention from last few minutes. "Ugh maa.. I was thinking, if you don't mind, can I go with them?" Madhu asked hesitantly to Radha, she looked at RK who was giving Madhu deadly glares, Radha smiled and said, "Of course beta." RK turned at his mother and made faces meanwhile Madhu excused.
Madhu walked in room to pack her luggage, RK followed her asking, "What is this biwi?" Madhu turned at him asking, "What?" "Why are you going?" "Oh.. Its your punishment. Now you see..!! How it feels to stay away from your love once." ".. But you are forgetting.. I too suffered along with you." He reminded her. ".. And that was your fault and it's your punishment. Now I will see you after 10 days, till then enjoy your freedom." She said kissing on his cheeks. "This is not done biwi." RK stomped his feet. "Biwi? Who's biwi Mr Kundra? Did you forget you gave me divorce." "But you didn't." "So what? According to me, you signed on paper, so we haven't any husband wife relation." She smiled and walked towards the door. "So what you want?" RK asked in disbelief. "You think. You have sharp brain." She smiled and left confused RK behind. Madhu climbed down and took blessings to Radha and Mohan, then before leaving she looked up and found him standing on the balcony, she mischievously smiled at him and left from there.
