Rohit Roy is all set to get himself trained in classical music soon. After trying his hand at acting, hosting, direction and production the actor will undergo training in classical music under Kadar Bhai, who has trained actors like Sudhanshu Pandey and Karan Oberoi in the past.

The actor, who has grown up on Kishore Kumar and Beatles, now wants to initiate himself into classical music. And that's not all, he also plans to take guitar lessons.

Says a source, "Rohit has been harbouring dreams of learning classical music for quite sometime now. He wants to learn music right from scratch as he very passionate about it and has a good ear for music."

When we asked Rohit about it, he sounded pretty excited. He said, "How did you get to know about this? Yes, I am going to train in music from Kadar Bhai soon. I have already spoken to him about it. I have always been inclined towards music and dance since my school days.

I want to learn music for myself, not to sing professionally. I want to develop a better ear for classical music. Nowadays my favourite song is 'Jab se tere naina' (from Saawariya) and when I hear Shaan sing it, I get goose bumps. I want to learn music so that I can understand music completely."

He adds, "My mother thinks I am a good singer. I am an untrained singer so I will be like a blank slate for my teacher. I have been told that any time is a good time to do riyaaz but I am going to do it early in the morning. It will work as a stress-buster for me and give me peace of mind."

The actor however does not see himself being part of music-based reality shows or playback singing. He is now awaiting the release of his films like Alibaug, Mittal Vs Mittal and Don Muthuswamy, apart from Dus Kahaniyaan.

That is a nice sentiment. I think non-musicians always are in awe of musicians and want to learn the finer nuances too. At least I always have.
