Teaser- Chapter 15

She shook his hand off her face and said in a teary but strong voice. " You are right Arnav, what you just described is not love. For love is not just physical. What you feel is.." She choked out, as her voice broke down, unable to continue.

But he raised his brow, for he was unable to figure out her outrage and finished for her by saying," Lust is the word Khushi." She had never felt so humiliated and cringed out while her blazing defiant gaze clashed with his fierce one as he pulled her rigid unresistant form in his arms, holding her against him and said passionately, "Yes, so it is lust...Khushi. But my lust is more real and more pure than your love. I know that and I am sure you know that too now."

If he had punched her right now, she may not have hurt so much, like he was hurting her with his words. Referring to the most beautiful night of her life to be driven by mere lust. Oh! He was destroying her, destroying everything she had ever believed in. Crushing all the feelings she had ever cherished for him. And what hurt her the most was the way, he had thrown her love right back on her face, as if he didn't want her love, as if he didn't need it, as he completely mocked the validity of her feelings. It hurts, it hurts so bad, her heart was bleeding, but something inside her refused to crumble out in front of him. She shook her head feeling sad and broken, as she distanced herself from his arms and said," I pity you Arnav...because, the lust you feel wont last for ever...but my love for you would have..."

Arnav was really feeling tired of her persistence now. Doesn't she know that she didn't have to pretend and use such meaningless emotions like " love" anymore to define their relationship? Did he really have to spell it out to her that he knew about her true intentions all along? Shrugging his shoulders casually, he said. " Well, who has seen forever, Khushi? Any ways, All I can assure you, that after last night, after knowing your passion, I know my lust for you have only grown in intensity. And it would last for a very- very long time." He finished with a rueful smile, but her eyes never noticed that as she stood there looking aghast, his each word piercing right through her heart as she felt a sharp pain of her heart breaking and lashed out on him, almost hitting him as angry tears blinded her and she cried out, " Enough of your insults, Arnav. How dare you insult me and my love..?"

She had taken him by surprise, although she was very delicate and slight in her stature, but she had thrown a solid punch right now, angrily he locked her both hands into his and growled, " Stop it.. Stop calling it love and trying to delude me Khushi ?" And then jeered, " Do you think, your calling it love would change anything? " She blinked her eyes, refusing to cry anymore, although his grip was almost crushing on her wrists. It was his next which left her puzzled as he said, " I heard everything that day." As she looked searchingly on his face with puzzled look, he let go of her and dragged his fingers through his hair, while his face contorted in anger, " The other day after the pool party, when you were talking to your friend planning and plotting, I heard all that," He finished bitterly...angrily...looking disgusted.

All of a sudden she was scared of him, she had never seen him so angry before. All the traces of that tender lover who had made such sweet passionate love to her through the night was gone. Instead of that, here stood a total stranger in front of her, who was insulting and accusing her of something, she had no knowledge about. She hardened her heart to his pain as he tiredly reached out to rub at his tense neck muscles. The pain was killing him now, and it showed in the strain in his voice as he said. " I would have never believe it, Khushi, had somebody else told me that. But how can I ignore it when I heard it myself. How I wish, I had never heard that." Last part he muttered to himself.

" What are you even talking about?" Khushi urged, her eyes questioning him.

But he was back at it again, as he threw a mocking glance at her and said, " Why Of course, I am talking about the plan that you were so excitedly discussing with your friend to trap Tanu's cousin."

She gasped aloud, vividly remembering her banter with Aru and those silly words, " But it was not like that Arnav...that was just a joke."

He threw back his head and laughed and when he spoke at last his voice was chilling " Of course it was Khushi, It was just a joke, that you were planning on me right?...But guess what sweetheart...Only time would tell, whether, you trapped me or I trapped you? "

Ok so here is the teaser. In the beginning, I was planning to present some other part...but then settled for this one as everybody was almost sure that his doubts were cleared after hearing Khushi's conversation. But instead it was something else entirely. A lot had happened before this part and more would be happening after this conversation.

I may or may not change the happenings in the posted piece above.

These days, I am really stuck on one piece. Ahem! Yup that one.☺️ Don't want to take any chance of spoiling the stuff while writing that one.

I am still hoping to post it by this Sunday.
