Hello! I have to say this with heavy heart and stressed-out mind that due to "rumour-mills" and private and/or public confirmation by 2 of the actors, the network* (SET) confirmed today morning that 'Bade Bhaiya Ki Dulhaniya' is indeed gonna start since 18th [of] July, 2016 at 9 PM every weeknight! 😡 {Bursting into deep-sorrow}.
I know that not everyone can imagine the pain I'm in. It's a very special-show close to my heart due to some personal reasons (I'm definitely open to disclose them if anyone shows interest). And it's [predicted]-ending being marked from the very same day I have very-personal connect with throws in even more grief. 😠🤢 I couldn't have proper sleep and was heavily distressed so had to take "power-nap" [to make me feel a little better]. 😔
Well, after personal-story "glimpse", let's describe how I got to know about it: I turned on the TV to watch the last repeat of the latest episode at 9 today morning (on SD). As most of you've known, there is that 2nd promo of that show doing rounds on SD channel since weeks and specially as a transition-bridge between episodes whole-day (whether repeat-time or prime-time). Akin to the HD channel, it's shown as "Pehli Jhalak" when acting as a "transition-bridge". The only difference between a regular OAP and "PJ" OAP is that the former is "cluttered" with on-screen infobar graphics and "PJs" don't have any infobar at all/whatsoever. So, the volume-level was little down (due to night-time viewing) but I heard the [voice of] same announcer who's working for SET since past 2+ years. He's very "famous" for working at Zee TV for several years before moving on to the Discovery Channel as Hindi announcer (pre Discovery-MSM "divorce") and then moving on to SET finally. He uttered: "Bade Bhaiya Ki Dulhania... Atthaarah July se Somvaar se Shukravaar raat Nau Baje sirf Sony par"!!! 😲 I couldn't believe my ears...!!! I thought it's because I'm not fully mentally-alert and that's why heard it because I have been reading this a lot [on Internet] since [few] days (I had just woke-up from "dogsleep" which was anyways incomplete). So I went on to enjoy the episode and then came the 1st break, as SET is obviously "bullish" on promoting that show nowadays, they would have set only that promo to come firstly. Within mere first 2 seconds of that [version of the] promo, my "myth" got busted as it clearly had mentioned [in Devanagari-Roman script, of course]: "{Line1}18 July se{/Line1} {Line2}Som - Shukr{/Line2} {Line3}9:00 PM{/Line3}". And obviously, the same was mentioned at the end of promo. I didn't felt shocked (due to aforementioned reasons) but rather surprised by their this decision!!! 😲 🤢
But as a "silver-lining", here are couple of few [inevitable] questions:
- Till yesterday, the schedule was reported to be showing 19th of July as the inception date of that show i.e. Tuesday (akin to what exactly happened in the case of "Reporters-PKHJD case") so suddenly within 24 hours of the same update, they have pulled the date to 1-day earlier? Why?? Oh, maybe because they're still "suffering" from "date-confusion-syndrome", Thank God they don't have triskaideikaphobia, to the least!!! 😆 At least, that would have been believable but who knows?? As seemingly evident from their track-record, they seem to be believable in "totkas" (empiricism) a lot since past few months so they might want to avoid that "panauti" which "drowned" 'PKHJD' (which they're majorly themselves). 😉 😆
- As many have pointed out, why there's still no news published by any "gossip-publication" whatsoever. Yes, there is always news for such events, whether sensible or nonsensical. But what I found that only 2 of Star Plus' amazing shows are going off-air and that show which has been dragged for TRP since years but is still better than even more longer shows (as reported by @lizzie1765). So, to counter that?? Only one reasoning! I used to watch the "most-amazing" show which was a medical-drama on Life OK (which is the finest TV fiction show on Indian Television so far IMHO), it was a 300-episode destined series but then abruptly went off-air by finishing just 30% of its Total Episode Count (TEC) i.e. mere 90 episodes. There wasn't even an iota of buzz (read speculation) until the network released a promo of replacement show on 21st [of] October, 2015 (Dussehra season), occurred on my most "shubh-din" of the week. All notable publications published the same within maximum of 3-4 days ever since the promo went out that morning. So, maybe, as 'Parvarrish' is also a unique-show, they were waiting for "official confirmation" from the network. So despite of the fact that the buzz actually went out by a single-source sharing that "news", "everyone else" was waiting for official confirmation and now since they have "got it", they may report it within maximum of 5-days! But then, why singled-out only this show?? Well, maybe because they haven't got [...] yet. 😉
- I have recently figured out that "Shashi-Sumeet Show" is actually the very same one because 'Bade Bhaiya Ki Dulhania' is actually a co-production between 2 well-known production houses (SET seems to be believing in co-productions a lot nowadays 🤔) Shashi Sumeet Productions and Bodhi Tree Multimedia. So considering the same, that well-known show of the former [production house] which used to be a "TRP-churner" airs daily at the very same time-slot for half-an-hour and is so far, only "rumoured" to go off-air by this Independence Day. But even considering that to be true, why won't the co-production house will insist for time-extension to avoid the clash if SET is so "h--l bent" on scheduling it at 9 PM only?? After all, they won't like their own show to be competing with another at the same time when their established project has to go through a crucial period of time as its future is at "stake"!!! They could have denied it and the network would have been compelled to re-consider their decision based on the fact that few actors playing some crucial characters [including the male lead] must have been brought on-board by them. So, sidelining them from the project would mean the network will surely face difficulties in terms of pacts of those actors.
- The confirmation is only "on-air"!!! Why no confirmation still made on Internet platforms?? No updated promo uploaded (the only difference between the original one and it's that "Bade Bhaiya Ki Dulhania... Jald aa rahi hai, sirf Sony par!" uttered by former announcer has been replaced by another announcer's voice exactly as mentioned above) on official YouTube channel so far! Neither any new promo nor timing?? While in all of the past cases, promos/timings used to first get updated on the Internet channels and then that promo goes on-air. Typically, the new development gets updated/uploaded 3-4 days ago to as late as only 1-day ago!!! But in this case, nothing such as this happened, in fact they seem to be keeping the timing of the show still "under-wraps"!!! Why so?? Does that mean they've went back to their old-strategy (which is followed by rival networks as well) after a long-period of time?? Why?? What's so "special" and "unique" about this show that they decided to promote it "so specially"?? Or is there any lack of co-ordination between teams working for the network?!? Well, "lack of co-ordination" doesn't make sense as no matter how "mismanaged" an organisation is, it certainly doesn't zero-in to non-coordination between executive staff (strictly speaking only about any organisation having the same stature as SET)!!! In fact, they seem to have "refreshed" (i.e. re-updated) that "Coming Soon" cover photo on their Facebook page today when they should've been well-aware that timings have already been announced on-air. Are they doing all of this to avoid fan's/viewer's ire i.e. ZERO or less negative PR (compared to earlier resultant of their "smart" decisions 😉)?? Well, only they know best!!! 😳
- At last, let me reveal a "secret" here which I've been keeping "safe" so far!! It's that ever since SET got rebranded in late-2013, all of you must have noticed that they have different colour schemes for different shows?!! Well, that's not dependent on content type, content duration or any such factors at all but just a time-slot, yes, they choose the colour scheme of their programming as per their formatted 1-hour, or half-an-hour time-slots. That also means that before making any show on-air, they're very firm on the time-slot they intend to allot to it before publishing it's "Coming Soon" promo. So that being said, 'Bade Bhaiya Ki Dulhania' was viewed as "most-apt" for 8:30 PM slot since 'Suryaputra Karn' is naturally on the verge of getting its curtains down[-over] (unless they want to drag it like "Saas-Bahu"/family drama feeding us their fictional take of leftover future-generations under the garb of "mythology") and 'KRPKAB' is anyways highest-rated "contemporary" fiction show by them so playing with its time-slot doesn't seem practical whatsoever. But what we're getting instead that is the show actually have been allotted 9 PM slot indeed and now, the question arises: Akin to 'PKHJD', will it be a full 1-hour show destined for 9:30 PM slot later?? Because that's how it makes sense [given their strategies in past]!!! Or was the "glitch" in the website informing its visitors that 'KRPKAB' is actually "Mon - Fri @ 8:30 PM" (while also informing Suyaputra Karn's timings as "Mon - Thus @ 8:30 PM" at the very same time) apart from having a schedule of only 14 [of] May, 2016 stuck for both channels (I definitely have visual evidence of it "safe" in my possession) "unintentionally" hinting towards right-direction?? If so, then I've nothing to say but "God Save the SET"...!!! 😆
As it's said "quite-often" in my most-favourite "reality show" 'Shark Tank'* ("coincidentally" also [indirectly] related to SPN), which I also believe to be the "most-unique reality show so far" IMHO, there is a very-famous saying of it which I would like to quote here: "Things aren't adding up here"!!! 😊 So these were my "arguments" awaiting to be answered. 😳
Appeal:
Well, now the time has arrived to buck-up and switch your positions from "active" to "hyper-active"!!! Or are we just supposed to chat here and wait for the worse to happen?? C'mon, if we're falling so short of optimism and full of negativity, then I don't think we're really eligible to be called as "fans". Period. 😳 Believe me, I have more personal-connect with it because of the date and moreover, I wasn't able to save my most-favourite TV drama so far by doing the mistake of trusting that network and expecting that they will inform us of timing changes within the next 2 weeks, but that never happened! And since I used to always get acquired in much other stuffs at the time, I couldn't sent an email to that broadcaster at right time despite of acquiring email addresses of many "honchos" at the workplace! Now, due to the regret which I want to repent but still can't, I'm committed to our this show more than ever, I just need your support and co-operation. Because no matter how much one person say wisely, his/her voice gets undermined in front of "arrogance". So please, those who're really affected by the news and want the story to stay, are you ready to join "hand-in-hand" with me [by right time]?? 🤔 If I get enough response, we'll then discuss "Plan of Action" later, many of different-than-conventional ideas I have in mind. {Fingers-Crossed/Hopeful}
And at last, here's a very-important suggestion which I'm sharing here for the 3rd, and hopefully last time:
It's high-time anyone concerned start watching 'Parvarrish' on TV at its prime-time on just 3 days of the week (seriously speaking, even in the most extreme circumstances possible since for Hindi GEC genre, ratings only get calculated in prime-time band [to be fair with other genres which aren't "cash-cow" unlike it]). Also, try watching all of its repeats (come on, it's just 1 on each channels) and it can be specially possible for those who work in such professions/business where one can delay leaving for work as late as 10 AM and in very few cases, even 11 AM (I'm obviously talking with knowledge, especially on the job front). So please, try your best to forget about catching-up episodes later on YouTube or Sony LIV, let alone becoming a "pirate" by using sites like YoDesi, DesiTVBoxMe, etcetera and all of this before indulging in any kind of "slacktivism" (i.e. what my plan of action will majorly contain, for the sake of convenienve of many of you). {Joined-Hands}
P.S. I will even pitch my proposition to various fanclubs on social media today. Wanted to post this by 9 of yesterday night, if not 8, but Sorry that I couldn't [as the "confirmation" thing is not useful "much" for those who're already aware, those who haven't watched that updated OAP, will only find that data to be "most-useful"]. 😒
P.P.S. *I'm very well aware that 'Shark Tank' airs @ 9 every weeknight. 😊 So for those who already knew this, trust me or not, I NEVER watch it at prime-time only due to 'Parvarrish'. But now after the pastime with timings and after the most recent development which is worst of all, I'm giving a thought about either watching it on Colors Infinity or having 2-days dosages of 'Naagarjuna - Ek Yoddha' on Life OK until then (I have initially decided to go-ahead with the latter but couldn't [due to my "self-commitment" thing last week]). 🤓
