Jodhaa Akbar is FAR FAR superior... even in this low quality version available on YT.

Everything about the trailer was AWESOME! 👏

JA's is far better. AG really put a lot of effort and money in the sets and costumes. But then, Hrithik wasn't paid 50cr!

Hrithik is always paid above 30 crs, since dhoom2 days so what are you trying to say ?
Anyways, hope you like the film if you watch it.

On topic-

No use of comparisons now, the winner and loser will be both Ashu and Hrithik, as both the films belong to them 😳

JA anyday
Recreating Mahenjodaro set is harder and tougher than JA as there are less number of references. Moghul period is soo close to modern era and also depicted in earlier movies..

But Kabir Bedi track is howlarious. What was the need for that man in an epic ! Mahenjodaro seems to be the least authentic film of the the director who made Laagan, Swades, JA. Its far more commercial and focussing on outward things rather than a real story.

It's not likely that Hrithik charged 30cr for JA when the budget was reported to be 40cr.
Also, it's been said that Hrithik's pay amounted to half of the budget of MD.
What I'm trying to say is that it's very likely that Hrithik weighted too much on the movie thus the half assed CGI, costumes and dcors.
I think it's a pity really. If the movie doesn't fare as well as expected he'll only have himself to blame.

i think when JA released , Hrithik charged a huge amount to depending on what other superstars use to charge those times, with time the charge has escalated and is usually in the same range. i mean you can imagine if Ranbir can charge 38 crs for sth like tamasha ( a relatively easy film considering the duration and physical contribution ) then Hrithik or anybody who has good star power would charge sth similar. UTV ha sbeen good recently with most of their films, so i will still hope the film will be a success, rest time will tell.

War 2 is as generic as chalk on a blackboard — the same rinse-and-repeat formula done to death, coasting entirely on Hrithik’s stardom. Stale....
