He did just that and he and everyone else began looking critically to see whether she had passed by with no one noticing

'Where I don't see her...'' Said Romi

'There... She is wearing blue jeans with a cap on, see...'' Said Aditya pointing

They kept running bytes on television about what was going on inside the courtroom. Everyone sat in that living room not saying a word. A lot of things had changed since she left. Everyone in the house kind of just tolerated each other. There was always tension in the house. Simmi still believed she did the right thing, Raman was pissed as hell at himself for letting things get that far, the kids were miserable because they missed Ishita, Santosh was harboring guilt about what was going on and in many ways so was Vishu.

They sat in silence listening to what was going inside until suddenly the reporter came on saying

'Okay that didn't take as long as we expected. The will has been read and it is done, ladies and gentlemen Ishita Iyer is the sole owner of everything Shergill owned including Iyer Technologies... ' Said reporter three

'Oh My God...'' Said Romi as he sat up

'There were gasps when this was finally heard. This is how it went down. Okay Anjali Shegrill's Lawyer who is Pakansh Mehra brought out a video recording, backed up in writing and also orally saying his client's last testament and will was to be heard in the presence of her daughter, her husband, get this Raina Raghav, Adel Kapoor, one of her guardians, his daughter Priya Kapoor, Ayush Mohlotra also her guardian, his son Suraj Mohlotra, Bansuri, who was Ishita's nanny and lastly which was probably the most shocking Mihika Raghav, Raina Raghav's other step daughter...'' Said reporter two

'Did she just...'' Said Simmi

'Mihika is Raina's daughter?'' Said Romi shocked

'Shhsss...'' Said Santosh

'These were the only people allowed to be in there and everyone else was to leave. When that happened the tape was played and it took a little under 5 minutes and that was that...'' Said Reporter

'Anjali Shergill first of all thanked everyone in the room who had been taking care of her daughter. She said if they were in court hearing this then they had indeed done that and she would be eternally grateful to them. Then she thanked her husband for giving her Ishita and how she was blessed to have her as a daughter. And then the bombs began, she said and I quote...'' Said the reporter removing a piece of paper and she began reading

'I Anjali Shergill Iyer, leave everything that I own to my only daughter Ishita Shergill Iyer, every company that I own, every property that I own and all the money I have left or will accumulate in future up to the reading of this will. Iyer Technologies was always meant to be yours and this shall stay as that. Ishita my girl, be kind to the people who got you here, take care of them like us Shergills do. And most importantly, do right by me...''

'That was it...'' Said reported two who seemed all too intrigued

'And that was it... Mr. Iyer her father couldn't believe it and he tried to protest that Iyer Technologies was his company and he helped Anjali build it from scratch but the Prakash Mehra shut that down. He told the judge that Mr. Iyer had signed a precap when he and Anjali had Ishita and that in the event that they divorced, he was to be given 30% of everything Anjali owned, and in the event that she died he was to wait four years before he remarried. This was such that he dedicated time to their only daughter or he risked losing everything. Now he married 2 years after Anjali passed away and because it was Anjali's capital that started that company, only Anjali owned it, he has no stake in that. He can only claim some severance package because he was only but an employee of Iyer Technologies, a company technically in their daughter's name...'' Said Reported three

'Is that even legal and I mean they just left him out to hang and dry'' Said reporter two

'Well he signed it and therefore it is binding. This takes us back 8 years ago and makes us believe that those rumors of him cheating on her with another woman who was then believed to be Riana were actually true. Talk about a last act of revenge ...'' Said reporter three

'Raman I will see you at the office...We have to address that little issue about the contract with Iyer Tec...'' He added

'I know... I know...'' Said Raman sighing as he walked out with his brother

'Are you going to call her...'' Romi asked

'No... Yeah ... I don't know... I don't even think I have her number...'' Said Raman

'Bullshit... besides call Priya... You have Priya's don't you...'' Said Romi

'If she wanted to see me she will see me if she doesn't, I have to allow her move on with her life. Besides she has a lot going on right now to worry about me...'' Said Raman

'And that excuse, is it making you feel any better...'' Said Romi looking at his brother

'No... I am just worried about my kids. How do I fix this for them...? I need to make sure they can handle it when she doesn't come back. They are still holding out the hope that she will come back and somehow think I can bring her back...'' Said Raman

'But you can...'' Said Romi

'That is the thing, I am not so sure... I need to think about the fact that I am a single father with a lot on stake and I can't put the fate of my family in her hands...'' Said Raman disheartened

'I can take her breaking my heart, I can't take her doing the same to my kids ' He added

A MONTH LATER

It had been along hard couple of weeks for Ishita. She had to stay away from a lot of things she was used to and she had had to change her life a lot as well. She couldn't necessarily do the thigs she freely did earlier but she also knew that it was necessarily and it needed to be done.

They had landed at the airport and she was trying so hard not make it seem like things were fine but God knows all she wanted to do was drive to the Bhalla mansion. That was an obvious No no and she believed she needed time to moveon as she was sure Raman had. Otherwise why didn't he even try to get in touch with her when she was in India? He had moved on and so she had to try and do the same? Try being the operative word.

'Hey Mark...'' Said Ishita causing the guy who was standing in front of her to turn

'Yes Mam...'' He said

'Ishita... Call me Ishita...'' She said

'Yes Mam...'' He said clearly turning that down and she chuckled shaking her head

'Can you help me with the thing...'' She said

'Yeah... I got it...'' He said turning as he began walking away

'Good Afternoon Sir...'' Said Priya

'Hey Uncle...'' Said Ishita as she stepped forward hugging him

He was not the kind of man who gave away as far as emotions were concerned, not even when it came to his daughter but with Ishita, things seemed different and she was the only one allowed to get away with some of the things she did.

'Great now let us get down to business shall we...'' He said

'Sure...'' Said Ishita

'I am leaving because as you know I need to handle Berlin and also Paris... But Iyer Technologies has been set up, everything is ready for you. You how very...'' Mr. Kapoor continued

'I know Uncle, I got this... I am in the best company in the business right here, I got this...'' Said Ishita as she looked at Mihika, Priya and Shlok and Varun who had come to pick them up

'I am getting late...'' Said Mr. Kapoor

Mr. Kapoor put his arms out and hugged Mihika as he turned to his daughter and did the same. Priya who got a bit teary managed to keep her cool as she went into her father's embrace resting her head on his shoulder. This was something that had not happened in close to three years. She only hoped he would forgive her for whatever she had put him through.

'Now can I go...'' Said Mr. Kapoor after he pulled away

'Of course... Safe journey ...'' Said Ishita smiling and Mr. Kapoor walked away

'So where were we, yeah we are going to the mansion...'' Said Ishita down playing he moment

Priya who was a bit over whelmed pulled Ishita in hugging her without saying a word because it didn't need a genius to figure out why it was important for Priya that she got their

'Thank you...'' Whispered Priya

'Uhh ha... Not yet... I told you piece by piece... He will remember...'' Said Ishita

'You think he will ever forgive me...'' Said Priya

'Are you kidding me... I got you...'' Said Ishita smiling and Priya chuckled

'Back to the topic at hand... We are leaving for the mansion but...'' Said Mihika

'Come on am serious... All those Raghavs stay there now...'' Said Mihika

'Not for long they won't...'' Said Ishita as she turned getting into the car

'What does that mean? Are you going to throw all of them out...?' Said Mihika

'I don't know... It will depend on my mood when I get their...'' Said Ishita

'Oh God, here we go...'' Said Priya as she got into the car as well, this was going to be a roller coaster ride

Raman had watched as the car drove off and he was still in a bit of shock not believing that Ishita was actually gone. It seemed like someone was just playing a really cruel joke on him and anytime he would come out telling him that it was all a lie and that everything would come back to normal. But that was over a month or so ago.

His children were miserable especially his very chirpy daughter who always seemed happy was now a shadow of herself. And it was worse when Ishita came back but didn't even make an effort to see them. Ruhi was really hurt and Aditya was no less because they couldn't believe she had just forgotten them. Romi threw himself in work and Simmi, he would just ignore her. That relationship had never really recovered.

The Iyers were talked about in the news a lot. I mean it was a huge story because the teenage billionaire was back to claim what was hers. They did a very good job at making it seem like it was all lilies and roses where her mother's wealth was concerned and her inheriting it, except when it came to Iyer technologies. It was always about that and that was the reason as Raman was slowly finding out, Ishita needed to keep her identity hidden from everyone.

Sometimes he would tune in just to get a glimpse of her but it was always someone else. Her lawyers speaking on her behalf or Mr. Kapoor who was her legal guardian in all this proceedings since she tried to emancipated at 15. He would have tried looking for her but he had known her long enough to know she was only going to be found if she wanted to.

This was supposed to be a fling; he wasn't supposed to be this obsessed or even miserable because she wasn't there. It was a fling, something he always did to numb the pain of missing Shagun that was what he always told himself but when days turned to weeks and a week turned to a month and that was also turning to months, he had realized that where his now seemingly billionaire nanny was concerned, it never was the case. She meant so much more than he realized.

He had a chance, an unbelievable chance of having something amazing with someone he would later realize was the best thing that happened to him but he blew it out of fear. His children never got along with anyone until Ishita and she seemed to understand them better than he did, that should have been the first sign that she was the one but he screwed up and now he had to clean up.

How he wanted to drown his sorrows in a bottle like he always did but he had learnt from her atleast, he needed to be selfless not for him but his children. They needed him to take care of them and he was going to do more than he did the first time they had their hearts shattered, especially Aditya.

'Aditya... Come on help your sister, I need to take this call...'' Said Raman as he looked at his son

'Yes Dad... Ruhi let us go...'' Said Aditya as he held Ruhi's hand taking her to the changing room

'Come on hurry up, I want to go home'' Said Aditya

'Help me then...'' Said Ruhi who was stuck with her dress above her head

Aditya helped her and also helped her try on the dress she wanted to wear. When he turned with her lo look in the mirror, they could see someone standing behind them but before they could scream, he held their mouths saying

'Shhsss...'' He said and a scared Ruhi and Aditya obliged meanwhile back outside

'Yeah... This has to be grounds for a harassment complaint...'' Said Raman

'Sir, Please Iyer technologies may have been the company you intended to do business with but the company is a bit in shambles right now.. Now with the new inexperienced management that is coming in, it will not necessarily build you profile all I am saying...'' The called began

'Papa...'' Said a very vibrant Ruhi that it kind of caught Raman off guard

It was like a gaming center, there were all kinds of game inside all kinds of toys. There were kids everywhere and parents seated in one place having drinks or tea while the kids just had fun. It was heaven that is if you were a child and Raman was more than willing to let them enjoy this. God knows they needed it. He got to the counter and the guy there smiled at Ruhi who kept on jumping up and down when she saw the toy. Raman looked at excited Ruhi before he handed the teller money as he took the teddy bear out and gave it to Ruhi.

'Thank you, thank you, thank you...'' Said Ruhi

'All this for a fluffy teddy bear...'' Said Raman amused

'It is nice isn't it... Thanks dad...''She thanked him and turned to her brother

'Adi Bhaiya...'' She said her voice breaking

'I know...'' Said Aditya as he came forward and put his arms around her

'Papa... Can we go check that out...'' Said Aditya pointingat one of the video games

'Sure...'' Said Raman curiously and Aditya took his sister's hand and walked away leaving their curious dad behind

'Adi... Nitya...'' Said Ruhi and Aditya asked

Raman watched them and shook his head not believing the hurricane of emotions he had just witnessed. They left home that morning to buy clothes for this pageant which was meant to be for Ruhi's school. Ruhi didn't even want to leave home until Raman insisted bringing Aditya along, then they got to buying the dress and she still was a bit off mood wise, but then it all changed, she become excited, was asking for dolls, he was pretty sure she was about to cry a few seconds ago bedroom she became excited again talking about Nitya

'What the hell just happened...'' He said talking to himself shaking his head

Aditya had to make sure he was completely out of eye's view of his father and once he saw the attendant keeping him busy, he turned to Ruhi asking her

'You need to check if it is in there. Is it...'' he said

'Hold on, let me see...'' Said Ruhi as she turned the teddy bear around

'Well hurry, dad is going to come looking for us...'' Said Aditya as he looked back

'Yeah, It is... Shall we...'' Ruhi said

'No... We wait till we get home, that was the deal, remember ...'' Said Aditya

Ruhi being a child could only hold this facade up for so long. She was extremely excited and it was hard to keep that inside. She was beaming with happiness and Raman could tell it had to take something really special for her mood to change that fast.

'Who the hell did you see at the mall?'' Said Raman

'Whhhaaa... Why do you think we saw someone? We didn't see anyone? Did we see anyone Ruhi...'' Said Aditya stammering and panicky

'No... We really didn't...'' Said a smiling Ruhi

Once they got to the door, she tried to turn the knob but the door was locked so she rang the doorbell. There was a silence between them as they waited for someone to answer the door. They didn't know what Ishita was planning to do but Priya understood that if the last couple of weeks meant anything, she was going to create some kind of havoc; she always did when she came in contact with Raina. The door swung open and standing there was a woman who seemed all too familiar at least to Ishita.

'You have got to be kidding me...'' She said

It looked completely different. On the wall where portrait of her mother and grandparents lay was now portraits of Riana, Mr. Iyer and Abhimanyu. So much had changed about the house that she couldn't even recognize it. There was a portion in that very room they had walked into which had a temple and her mother always maintained it. She wasn't a very religious person but her mother was. That was a place she loved to be mostly because it reminded her so much of her parents, Ishita's grandparents. That temple was something Ishita's grandfather had done for her grandmother and it represented them and how they felt about each other.

But Raina had changed that place into a mini bar, it looked so different that she thought she was moving into a stranger's house, not the house she grew up in. It broke her heart and made her even more angry because in her mind this just cemented the fact that her father was just a horrible human being who never really cared about his mother

'You can't go in there. Hey... Excuse me...'' Said Fake Ishita

'That is the beauty of having so much I can do whatever I want and stay wherever I want. Besides this was mom's place and I intend on making it the house she once loved...'' Said Ishita looking at her father before she turned looking at the min bar again

'We moved the temple in...'' Mr. Iyer began noticing what she was looking at

'I can see you did everything to abolish every memory of mom... I don't understand what she saw in you...You never deserved her'' She added

'You're angry at me right now and I get it...'' Mr. Iyer said and Ishita interrupted

'No... No... I am way past angry where you are concerned Mr. Iyer, what I feel about you, you can't begin to fathom... And every single time you parade with this fraudulent bitch it is an insult to my mom's memory...'' Said Ishita

'You seriously need to stop thinking I am going to allow you to talk to me like that...'' Said Riana

'You can't possibly think talking and behaving like that is ...'' Raina began again

'Bitch your really trying me...'' Said Ishita shaking her head

'Raina that is enough...'' Said Mr. Iyer

He of all people knew what kind of anger his daughter had. She never really got to mourn Anjali and never really handled it well. All he hoped is that she gave him a chance to explain himself. Everything was not as easy as she thought and he wanted an opportunity to explain himself. If only she gave him a chance.

Shlok and Varun had always known her relationship with her father was bad, no one ever thought it would have been this bad. None of them had ever seen her behave or talk to someone with so much hate. The drama in that house was just beginning and they all were in for a lot of shock.

'Let us just go...'' Said Mr. Iyer as he took Raina's hand

'Uhh ha before you leave... I can as well tell you what I need while you're at it... I expect you to vacate the master bedroom and also Abhimanyu needs to find another room and should get the hell out of mine. All the room upstairs will be taken as you can see I have guests and the rest will stay vacant because a few people are coming back here. You can take the rooms down stairs there is plenty to go around...'' Said Ishita

'Why can't they stay down stairs... The master is my room I have been ...'' Riana began

'Again with the blabbering... I told you heifer, this is my house so I can do whatever the f**k I want... Get with the program or get the f**k out...'' Said Ishita turning to her friends

'This bitch...'' She added shaking her head and Riana stomped off angrily

'You have an hour...'' Said Ishita sighing as she looked at her friends

'Oh yeah I forgot about you...'' She added as she looked at Aarshi

'Sorry Mam about earlier I didn't know that you were the owner and all... ' Aarshi began

'Oh you're fired...'' Said Ishita causing Aarshi's jaw to drop out of shock

Ishita looked at her and felt sorry for her. I mean it wasn't her fault that she got entangled in a fight that was never meant to be hers in the first place.

'I will pay you double your yearly wages... I am sure that can somehow help you on your way but I can't have you working here...'' Said Ishita calmly

'Thank you Mam...'' Said Aarshi as she turned walking out knowing that is the best alternative she could get

'Wow...'' Said Shlok

'Wow Baby G... I was beginning to think I had lost you there for a second. At least I still know your kind self is still in there somewhere...'' Said Varun

'Am sorry you had to see that...'' Said Ishita

'I can understand...'' Lied Shlok

'No you don't...'' Said Ishita seeing through it

'Just remember to pull me back when I start to drown...'' Said Ishita looking at Priya

'What...'' Said Varun but Priya understood

'Okay as much as I would love to be in this really non awkward situation, I need to go at the Alt...'' Said Shlok sarcastically

Back at the Iyers, Raman returned and the kids were still very excited. They kept on mumbling to themselves and every time he asked what it was they were talking about, they kept on saying nothing. He knew that he maybe should have pried to find out what was going on but it had been a while since he last saw them that way and he wanted to enjoy that so he let it go.

They got out into the house and quickly ran upstairs ignoring the calls of their grandmother. Raman walked in only to see Pratik and Simmi there which was a rare sight these days.

'What happened...'' Said Raman

'Have a seat. We need to talk...'' Said Simmi

'For the record, I disagree with everything she is saying...'' Said Pratik

'Of course you do...'' Said Simmi as she sat forward facing Raman

'Sorry am late... I had a thing...'' Said Romi who walked in hurriedly

'Okay now that you are all here... I guess we can...'' Said Simmi only to be interrupted by her mother

They were supposed to develop up it and it was supposed to be up and running a month and a half ago but it isn't. We are still paying programmers that they left us that don't do anything. That website is just there and we dropped a lot of business putting a lot on this website deal. We are spending more than we are making Raman we are in trouble...'' Said Simmi

'So what is your point...'' Said Raman

'I think we should listen to the offer RSI Tech is offering... I think it is a good deal and we hadn't signed anything with Iyer Technologies so won't be breaching anything...'' Said Simmi

'That is what I do not agree with...'' Said Pratik

'You don't because your screwing one of them. They just disappeared and left us to hang and dry... I invested way too much in RKB to have it just messed up by some girl with little business sense. She is big now, I doubt Ishita Iyer or any of her friends even remember RKB Fashions...'' Said Simmi and still Raman just looked at her

'See that is where I disagree... You expect this with any company in transition and if you are asking me to choice between a company owned by Ishita and that of her step mother, I say Ishita any day of the week. Is it risky, hell yes but it will be worth it...? She knows what she is doing and I guarantee it that she will deliver...'' Said Romi

'When... You have been saying at for the last month and still nothing... All of you are not seeing this objectively... ' Said Simmi

'Legally if you wanted to do this then you can but you need to understand something, the software on which that website of yours is running is proprietary software, actually owned by the Alt... Which company is owned by Ishita and therefore trading off of that with another company will be illegal. So, if you wanna change companies, Ishita will have to agree with you or you get another developer...'' Said Pratik

'Okay what is the problem here... I thought we were to wait and hear from Iyer Technologies... Where is this coming from...'' Said Raman

'What is the matter with you? Raman we need to act fast... We have to improve our company, that was the whole point of getting into this website business but now nothing is happening and we are just incurring losses. I have put in way too much for it to just go to waste...'' Said Simmi

'This is ridiculous. You realize us not doing anything and dropping this will mean we incur a huge loss. Then changing companies will mean huge losses too because we start from scratch again...'' Said Romi

'But that is the thing though, we do not have too. Just pay off the Alt for their software'' Said Simmi

'Okay you're either really gullible or you are just plain stupid...'' Said Pratik

'Don't insult me...'' Said Simmi looking at Pratik

'Okay look... There is no way in hell she will every agree to sell her software much less to her rival...We do not even know here she is'' Said Romi

'She can if Raman asked...Plus we do not need to find her, we just deal with the Alt company and they will handle the rest'' Said Simmi

Raman who was in all honesty really tired of this argument just wanted it to stop. I mean she was right in a lot of ways but she was also wrong in most either way, they were going to incur huge losses and the best alternative, as painful as it was, was to wait. Something his sister clearly didn't seem to have

'It is fine Simmi... If this goes south I will buy you out at current value...'' Said Raman causing all of them to turn and look at him like he was insane

'I didn't...'' Simmi tried to respond shocked to her wits

'It is fine... This solves all your fears plus you won't incur any losses either way'' Said Raman

'I can't believe you just told me that...'' Said Simmi

'Listen. I got where I am because of people that stayed loyal to me and what I believed in. I tend to think and usually dish out the same thing. Ishita deserves that from me. She was basically doing this for me for peanuts and she created something amazing from scratch might I add. I owe her that much... So I am giving her more time... I haven't begun freaking out yet because I know she will come through for me...'' Said Raman

'You trust her that much...'' Said Simmi

'Where this is concerned, yes I actually do...'' Said Raman

'Well let us hope for your sake you are right'' Said Simmi and she got up walking away

'I am not being difficult you know...'' She added stopping on the way

'I was only worried about our company and you all know I am right...'' She said and walked out

'I know what she means... Sooner or later we are going to have to find some kind of solution to this...'' Said Romi

'I know...'' Said Raman as he ran his hand through his hair

This day was turning out to be more stressful than he anticipated. He knew his siblings were very right. Something had to give but in his heart of hearts he knew he needed to give her a benefit of a doubt. She couldn't just abandon him at a time like this.

He looked at the papers that Pratik was holding and he knew they were in a lot of trouble if they didn't handle it.

'We need to start making some serious sales...'' Said Romi his head in another file

'Ding Dong...'' The doorbell rang

'Can someone get the... Mihir ...'' Called Raman

'Yeah Sir...'' Said Mihir

'Can you get the door please...'' Said Raman his eyes still in the documents

'Yeah Sir...'' Said Mihir walking away

There was a silence as all of them looked at the documents thinking how the hell they were going to bring up sales while spending less until

'Wow... That bad huh...'' They suddenly heard someone talk causing them to look up suddenly not sure whatever they had heard was actually real
