Krpkab is 1000 times better than this show. Btw, krpkab has nothing similar with that rashmi Sharma show. So, before showing frustration on other shows get some knowledge. Btw, parvarish get enough promos in it's initial four months, but it never gets trp and huge fandom. But krpkab has better story, better trp and huge fandom thn pv. That's why Sony is promoting it. And about fan bringing back CID, sony intentionally not air the show for two months, they want to air it after IPL with Adalat. Its called marketing strategy. Its not because of so called fans demand. Sony is here for business not for doing charity.
Hello "Arjun [of] 2016"! ๐ Easy.., easy dude! "Take a chill-pill"!!!
While I very well understood to whom you addressed [and anyone who've read both pages of this thread have got it very well]. ๐ But since I'm the only one who has confessed to also like 'KRPKAB' here so far, let me "take a charge" to "calm you down" (actually, reply one-on-one to your reasonings):
You said it constructively, right?? ๐ Because it's practically impossible that 'KRPKAB' is 1000x better than its preceding show (in its prime-time slot)!!! Period. ๐ Yes, Agreed to the [almost] complete extent!!! @lizzie1765 definitely exaggerated on that and that's why I contested her points initially but in a polite tone. And the only catch here is that "nothing similar" excludes its core concept, right?? ๐ Since, you're interested in that show only, I think it would be wise with you to discuss in detail [about that]. By "core concept" I meant albeit there's a lot of difference between Janki Tiwari and Ishwari Dixit. Janki was "OCD-suffering", "devilish" mother who even used to dictate what his son would don. While Ishwari is almost opposite, they were even poorer than Tiwaris but still Ishwari is much more compassionate, mature and true-figure of a mother. The only similarity was that both loved, cared for and protected their respective only-and-one sons more than rest of their children and that's why they command more possession of them than anyone else [in the world]. That's what I meant by "core concept". ๐ Agreed to your point that 'Parvarrish' got its promo aired but had to disagree with you saying "enough"!!! Really?? ๐ฒ Are you saying so practically?? Just compare the number of promos post-inception of both shows in the given time-period i.e. 4 months (I know very well that 'KRPKAB' is yet-to-complete 4 months, but given the latest promo, it's a fair comparison), I'm sure you'll get your answer! And I also have high suspicion on the circulation-rate, i.e. I don't think they were getting repeated as often as KRPKAB's ones do. ๐ณ Again, is it safe to construe that you're just saying it constructively?? Because "no TRP" is really a joke when its TRP is anyways better than 'Reporters' [which got extented thrice] and it has remained consistent for weeks even with PRACTICALLY ZERO promotional support which proves audience is really interested in its content. And given the "fandom" thing, I think you don't spend that much time on Instagram, no?? ๐ Well using the term "story" is very subjective, whether you're talking about concept, broad storyline/plot, types of tracks depicted or episodic stories?? You need to clarify!!! And my answer to rest of your points are almost same...!!! I already said it's a "stardom"-dependent show majorly, c'mon, you can't compare the fandom of an actor who have done that much bigger role, and that too in a mythological magnum opus with fandom of youth actors who're just starting (akin to what Shaheer was 7-8 years ago), and apart from him, Erica is a South Indian actress so that drives South Indian viewers, too and lastly, there are still many "good people" out there who appreciate the work of veterans like none-other-than Supriya Pilgaonkar [Ji] (who's best known for her comical/"light-hearted" characters). Yes, that's [most probably] the rationale behind promoting it but what about other shows? Another show is surviving without any promotional support whatsoever with consistent ratings since months and you're saying the network is completely absolved from fault?? ๐ฒ Or specially, is it fair to compare the ratings of 2 shows which have such deep distinction in terms of treatment from the network's side?? ๐ณ Yes, I Agree to your point to most extent because 'CID' team have developed some deep connections with the broadcaster (SPN) itself (i.e. they're having their reach upto the management-level of Mr NP Singh) that they can't just end it abruptly as the case with other shows. And that's how they also got to try 'Akela' and 'Surya The Super Cop' ("coincidentally", both shows are having their flavours "revisited" by another successful show on an "archrival" network by them since few years). Akin to what happens in West and other international markets, they deliberately kept it "off-air" (that's what it literally means but in the Indian Television regime, since the shows are so longer-running that they only go "off-air" when the channel/network decides to "end" the story, that's why this "metonym") for 2 months most probably for the same "marketing strategy" as you figured-out ("Thriller-Weekends", a "success mantra" for them few years back). And neither I did notice any much of uproar there, nor on YouTube nor on Twitter. But since 'CID' is a cult-series, they didn't needed any! But despite of that, they must have got an idea even after 19 years, the "social-media generation" is ready-to-accept it at large. ๐ And that's why I would also like to further add in response to your view that definitely, they're here for business rather charity (selling electronics products at hefty price tags [worldwide] doesn't make them accountable for charity!!! Right?? ๐ That's how their media-business is also thriving! ๐). But as I intended to actually intended to include this in my reply to @luvakanksha in BizAsia article thread but couldn't (Thanks to my "lousy"-smartphone), they do value their brand more than earning more-and-more [quick-]profits. And their "brand value" lies only in specialty content rather such regular content which is very common and most unfortunately, very successful on most of the rival channels. ๐ And that's pretty much evident via their social media description too that they realise it pretty correct. Else, if they only want "pure-business" is what you're trying to imply, then they need to shut-down all of its "contemporary" shows viz. 'EDKV' and even "your" 'KRPKAB' apart from 'Parvarrish'. Also includes those shows who're ready to "go on-floor" having non-regular concept are "deserving" to get scrapped outrightly rather taking them "off-air" after giving a chance. And to get to the level of India's #1 Hindi GEN, they need to scrap even the likes of 'The Kapil Sharma Show' and 'Crime Patrol'. Well, if I'm not wrong, then they really tried to "think about the business only" mere few times ago with shows like 'Anamika' and 'Tum Aise Hi Rehna', what happened?? ๐ As logic can be somehow applied to everything, many reasonings can be given such is "that was a wrong-time", "they tried to do exactly vice-versa of India's #1 Hindi channel rather just following them and that's why they were destined to doom*", etcetera, etcetera.
Hope you got answers to all of your points! ๐
*That #1 Hindi GEN has exactly-opposite case currently compared with what SET had few years ago. That is, all of "regressive-content" with an exception of 1-2. ๐
I seriously wanted to hit 'Like' on your post and even would like to "confess" that I indeed did it for a while but then I realised had you kept your tone softer, it would've helped everyone. Yes, even if we agree to your point that someone else has behaved "immaturely", then do you really need to act the same way to prove your point [in this case]?? Being rude does rarely help but being polite, mostly helps! Hope you won't take offence from my words and indeed try to get what I wanted to convey. ๐
