I was watching yesterday's episode and it brought tears into my eyes when both the siblings said that they did not grow up holding hands of somebody.

Ruhi - Shagun abandoned her when she was 6 months old and Raman did sometimes later. After 5 to 6 long years she grew up under the love of family and then Ishita came into her life through whom she got the love of not only family as before but also of parents. She was settling into this beautiful bliss when Nidhi snatched her away and this time with no one around but herself.

Adi - He was happy in his initial days but later on manipulated and taken away by his mother , Shagun. He spent his growing age in the hostel all alone. When he was back his emotions were manipulated and played every now and then but God felt pity in him and made him choose a better option . He also came under the shade of his parents - IshRa. He had also just started receiving proper parental love when Ruhi was kidnapped and he lost not only his mother figure and sister that night but also his father emotionally. The only graceful thing which happened was he still had the love of a family which he lacked initially .

It's sad to see two wonderful kids who had everybody but still they did not have their parents who could hold their hands and walk them through their problems.
