story summary

Can someone plase give me the story summary so far ? Because i have just started watching the serial an i want to know the story

Well there are two kids Sowmya and Surbhi... Sowmya is elder kid but her father tries to kill her when she is a new born but her mother protects her. From then she becomes over protective of sowmya , where as sowmyas father and dadi maa hates sowmya and tries all ways to remove her from family even going as far as trying to get her kidnapped. Mean while sowmyas dad Manindhar loved surbhi a lot, however surbhi in starting like sowmya, one day when Manindhar tries to get soumya kidnapped, soumyas mother nimmi gets to know of it and wants to leave house along with her kids. At that time Manindhar doesn't want to let surbhi go and asks her whom she wanted to stay with she says she wants to stay with mom. Sowmya fearing that surbhi might be separated from their dad tells everyone that she wants to stay with dad. As a result Manindhar and manindhars mom hatches a plan and they divide house into two parts where in one part soumya, manindhar and manindhars mom live while in other part Nimmi,Surbhi and Nimmis mom live.
Here Nimmi is concerned that soumya will be harmed by Manindhar, but Manindhar and Manindhars mom act livey dovey towards soumya infront of surbhi making her jealous and hate soumya. Surbhi who is jealous and angry on soumya in todays episode pushed soumya into a river.

Ok but why does mahinder and his mom hate soumya and even want to kill her ?
