Chapter 2 "Hey, mom!" Taani greeted her mother with a smile as she entered her house after a tiring day in college. She slumped down on the couch in living area of her small yet cozy home. "How was your day?" His mother asked her as she handed her a glass of water. "It was good. What about you, mom?" "It was like an any other day, but mrs. sharma came to visit today, and you know-" "Mom, please no. Please don't start your marriage talks. I know mrs. sharma must be here with another alliance. I am tired of all that, i don't wanna marry. My career has just started and i don't want to ruin it." Taani said to her mother in calm & composed tone, ever since she had got her job, her mother was behind her to get marry now. "But, beta, you are 23 now. You should start thinking about your marriage now." Her mother, Anita said to her, Being a single mother, she was always worried for her daughter and want her to settle down soon. "Yes, mom, I am 23, just 23. My life haven't even started properly and you want to push me into marriage? I am not ready for that, mom. Please, don't bring marriage topic again." Taani tried making her mother understand who sighed but gave a short nod in return, understanding her daughter won't understand. "Fine! Go, freshen up. I have cooked your favorite pasta-" "Thanks, mom. Love you." Taani kissed her mother's cheek and went in her room. "I know why you run away from the name of marriage, its all because of whatever happened with me. That man is away from our lives yet he manage to hurt us everyday. Because of him we lost everything, you lost your trust in marriages. I hope one day you understand, all marriages don't end like mine-" Anita thought to herself, her eyes held unshed tears. * "Hey, Dad!" Rey greeted his father and sat on the chair at dinning table, for dinner. "Hows college going?" His father, Ranvijay asked him, starting the conversation. It was the only time he gets to spend with his son due to his busy schedule, he hardly get time, but he make sure they have their dinner together. "Good. Next week we are going on college trip to manor." "Yeah! Your VP sir told me. And did you talk to your mom, she wants you to spend your winter vacations with her." Ranvijay told his son who frowned. Ever since Ranvijay and Rajni has separated, Rey has to chose with whom he wants spend his vacations and important occasions like birthdays and festivals, which infuriate him. Since childhood he had chose between his father & mother where as he wanted both. "I will see, but can't say anything as of now." Rey trailed off uninterestingly, since he doesn't want to go and spend his time with his mother and her family which consist his step father and their two kids i.e. his step sister & step brother. After his parents divorce, Rey's mother moved on in her life and married the man of her choice, but her marriage created distance between her and Rey. "Rey, i know you don't like to go there, but think about your mother too. She miss you-" "Dad, please. I don't want to talk about it." Rey sighed in frustration. He knew before being his mother, she was an individual, had her right to live her life like she wants, he understand that, but he can't forget the fact that she left his father and him because she fell out of love and found love in some other man. "Okay! Fine. I won't force you. You are mature now and know whats better for you." Ranvijay said to him, getting he doesn't want to talk about it. "Dad, can i ask you for something?" "Sure, son." "You know that vp sir and khushboo ma'am are going to accompany us on the trip-" Rey trailed off, his father gave him a nod and told him to continue. "Since we students don't go well with khushboo ma'am, so we were wondering if you could exchange her with some other teacher, a friendly teacher who won't spoil our fun with her over strictness-" Rey told his father, while controlling himself to not to blurt out taani's name infront of his father. "-and you know, there is a new teacher in our college, Miss. Taani shekhawat. She is friendly and all students like her-" Rey told his father, Ranvijay raised his one eye brow at his son. "Rey, at your age, boys have girlfriends, not crush on their teachers." Ranvijay laughed seeing his son's flushed face. "I'll see what can i do in this matter." Ranvijay said to him who nodded in return. The Father-Son duo had their dinner while talking about random stuff then went in their respective rooms. * She could feel his intense gaze roaming over her body, her heart was beating loudly against her ribcage. She turned around, facing the students. "We will complete the rest of the lesson in next lecture." She said loud, the bell ring and soon enough all the student left the class room except him. He got from his place and walked over the door. She expected him to leave, but instead he closed the doors of the classroom. "Reyaamsh, what are you doing?" She questioned him. With a sly smirk playing on his lips, he moved toward her causing her to take step backward. They continued until her back hit the wall behind her, she look at him as he stepped close to her, invading her personal space. He placed his hands on either sides of her on the wall, trapping her in between him and the wall. "R..Re..Reyaansh-" she spoke hesitantly and placed her hands on his chest. He clutched her hands in his and leaned toward her, he nuzzled his nose between in crook of her neck. Her breath hitched in her throat, her treacherous body cherish his simple touch. His hand touched her cheek and slid down to her jaw, his manly fingers caressed her smooth skin, leaving a tingling sensation within her. Her hazel brown orbs bore into his chocolate brown, A feeling in back of her head was telling her to push him away, but couldn't found courage to do so. She didn't pushed him away instead she find solace in his arms. Without their acknowledge they leaned forward, she closed her eyes seeing which rey smiled, he closed the gap between their lips. Taani's breathing hitched and she felt like she was in a world of bliss in the matter of seconds. He didn't give her time to think, he just claimed her as his and pushed further. he was gentle and somehow very protective which was so unlike him. He was dominant by nature and rough but now he was kissing her as if she is a glass doll that would break if he hold her tightly. He kissed her till they were both breathless. He was about to claim her lips again but instead of her lips, his lips met silky cloth fabric... "What the-" He woke up with a jerk and realized he had been dreaming about her. "God! That girl is going to be death of me one day."
