CHAPTER 24
3 more months passed and Roli entered the eighth month of pregnancy. Things were changed; everything was not as easy for Roli as it was earlier. The babies were almost developed and she was too putting up a lot of weight. It really became difficult for her to move around with her legs which had become quite swollen by now. Even the morning walk was cleared from the list as she couldn't help it. She was suffering from back pain and that really took her sleep. But nevertheless, the pregnancy made her look cuter. She became like a like a chubby kid; her face and eyes brightened and hair became shiny. As for Sid, he was with Roli in every little moment. Her troubles were hurting him more than her. He was peculiar on the care given to her. Anything less in that matter could drive him mad. His naughty and cute talks to her continued without any hindrance and that gave Roli courage amongst all the physical pains. Every evening after returning from office he used to spend a good while talking to the babies who probably in reaction to his talks kicked Roli. Everything was going fine with a lot of happiness.
A Monday morning. Siddhant was dressing up for office whilst Roli sat on the bed tired. "Roli...are you okay?" asked Sid. "Haan baba..." said Roli in an attempt to pacify Sid. Sid came and sat on the bed next to her. "If that's so the why is your face dull?" he asked her in a loving tone. Roli leaned on his shoulder and played with his shirt button. "Nothing...feeling sleepy..." she mumbled. "If that's so then why are you waiting? Sleep na..." he said to her and made her lay down on the bed. "Pain in legs?" he asked her. "Little..." she opened up to him. He started pressing her legs and she nodded no taking his hands away. "What're you doing? Don't do this..." she said. "Roli...You wives are typical...Every festival you girls are ready to fall on your husband's feet but if your husband touch your feet to relieve your pain, you just feel bad...Roli...there is nothing wrong in this...We're husband and wife...We're one soul in two bodies...So don't feel bad.." he said. Roli smiled. She was really lucky to get him. "You know Siddhant...I love you yaar..." said Roli. "Oh...great secret..i didn't know yet...come on...i love you too an yaar..." he hugged her pressing his lips on her forehead. "I will call Arun and tell that I won't come today..." Sid almost took his phone to dial up whilst Roli held his hands preventing him from doing so. "Don't do that...yesterday only you told that this project is important...Arun can't deal it alone...so you must go..." said Roli. "Roli...but..." Sid began. "Chup...not a word more...Mr. Siddhant Bharadwaj is going...Understood?" asked Roli in a serious tone. Sid smiled at her; how he keep falling in love with these cute expressions of hers... "Roli ka hukkum, Siddhant ka dharm..." he said. "That's like a good boy...So leave now..." said Roli with a cute smile. "okay then bye..." Sid pecked her lips and leaning to her belly kissed on the baby bump. "So cuties...Papa is leaving...would come back soon and play with you both...but please don't trouble your mamma okay...And mamma of the kids...Take care...don't walk here and there unnecessarily...okay..." he instructed. Roli smiled at him and he got up kissing on her forehead. "Bye.." "Bye..." Roli replied with a smile. She wanted to go with him till the door, but he had instructed to stay in room only. Soon Sid started to office and Roli closed her eyes to relax for a while.
Siddhant was in office. The meeting was a couple of hours later and he was just doing the preparations. He looked at his and Roli's photo on the table. How cute she is. There is no day that had left without him thanking the almighty for bringing his Roli to his life. He too the photo and kissed on it. "Roli..i love you yaar..." he mumbled to himself. Then keeping the phito aside he started studying the files for the meeting. Meanwhile, Roli was still on bed and she felt boring. So she thought she'd go down and sit in the garden for a while. It was the place which gave her lot of peace. Every evening she and Siddhant used to relax in the garden and walk few steps. She got out of the bed with great difficulty and walked out of the room. She was just thinking of something and was totally blank of the surroundings. She reached the stairs and started descending them with the same of line of thoughts occupying her thoughts. She got down couple of steps and at one step she kept her leg so incautious that she directly slipped.
