Television actress Narayani Shastri and her friend Gaurav Chopra
stormed out of UTV's Goal premiere held at PVR (Juhu) on Thursday
evening. Narayani and Gaurav were highly upset at the poorly organised
event. Although the two had reached the venue before the appointed hour,
an eye-witness called us up to say that Narayani and Gaurav walked out
in anger. "They were muttering under their breath. They had been treated
badly and had every reason to be upset," said our source.
"The entire theatre was overcrowded. You will be shocked to know that
Arshad was sitting in the fourth row from the front and not in a VIP
seat," our source reveals.
We contacted Narayani to ask her what had happened. Narayani admitted
that she and Gaurav had walked out of the Goal premiere at PVR. From
there, they went to Fame Adlabs, where a special screening of the same
film was happening late in the night.
According to her, at PVR, Narayani and Gaurav were ushered in and led
towards five vacant seats. At that moment, a UTV guy stopped them and
said that those seats were reserved for John Abraham and Bipasha Basu.
Explaining the fracas at PVR, Narayani said, "It was clear that too
many people had been invited. There was no place to sit, even though we
had reached in time. This is not done."
Gaurav chipped in, "When the PVR and UTV representatives started
fighting amongst themselves, we decided that enough was enough. That was
the limit."
"The film was being screened in all the six screens of PVR. Yet, we
couldn't get a seat. I fail to understand why so many invitations had
been sent out," Gaurav said.
