CH 8 : Over Protectiveness
"Taani." Ashi called out for her when her gaze fall over taani who had just entered the canteen, taani looked up at her direction and smiled before she walked toward the table where ashi was seated along with whole gang. She greeted them politely.
"So, I heard something about secret admirer. Is that true?" Ashi asked her, sounding excited as ever which had taani rolling her eyes at her.
"I would like to term that guy as a stalker. Don't know from where he got my number, he is troubling me with calls and messages since last night." Taani told her, her words alerted two people at the table.
"Why didn't you told me that before?" Swayum questioned his sister.
"You were sleeping, so i thought not to disturb you. And i have switched off my cell phone." Taani answered her brother, hoping it would calm her.
"Change your number as soon as possible and don't share it till this problem gets solve. And don't roam around alone much-" Rey said to her, in sharp crisp tone, daring her to deny him with his looks. Taani gulped down the lump formed in her throat, she look at her brother, expecting him to say something, but too her surprise, he agreed with Rey.
"Rey, why are you getting so hyper?" Sharon, who was quite shocked seeing his reaction, questioned him. Rey look at taani then at sharon, he didn't knew what to answer her when he himself doesn't have one.
"Sharon, its about her safety, so rey is just concern about her, after all she is part of our group-" Vicky answered on behalf of Rey, glancing at his childhood friend who was relived after his reply and threw a thankful look at his direction. One look and he knew there is something up with him, Rey wasn't someone who gets so protective over someone unless its his parents and close friends, and as far as he know, taani is none of them.
"I need to talk to him." Vicky thought to himself and decided to talk to him after college. He knew about Rey's past and how much her betrayal had hurt him, broke him completely but he wants him to move on, but he also knows, it won't be that easy for Rey. He might show himself to be strongest, but he was most the most sensitive one when it comes to emotions.
"Guys, its time for lecture, lets go." Simmi told them, all nodded and left for their classes except Rey, since he had some other work in hand. He went in search of shivam.
After searching at lots of places, he found him in walking in empty corridor. He marched toward him, he stopped infront of him and let his fist collide hard with his jaw. Shivam, who wasn't expecting the sudden attack, fell down on the ground due to the force of the punch he had received from Rey.
"Shivam, i didn't knew you would stoop so low. You think you will get her by this obsessive behavior of yours?" Rey growled in anger, he grabbed his collar and pulled him. Anger triggered, Shivam pulled out of his grasp and glared at him.
"What the f**k are you talking about?" Shivam questioned him, genuinely confused by his accusations.
"Stop acting innocent, shivam. I know, its you who is sending taani all the gifts and now troubling her with calls and messages." Rey spat harshly at his face. His brows knitted in confusion.
"Dude, i admit i like taani, but i am not sending her any gifts and calls & messages, i have no idea, Rey." Shivam answered him with honesty.
"-and this stalker-ish behavior won't make her mine. I might do plotting but i am not a stalker." Shivam added with a shrug. Rey look at him, he could see shivam was telling truth. Then if shivam is not the stalker then who is he?

"Hello." Taani picked up the call, it was from unknown number.
"Hello, sweetheart. Iss zaalim duniya ne kitna try kiya, hume alag karne ka, but hum bhi sacche ashiq hai. I am waiting outside your house, come soon." And with that, the call was ended. A gasp escaped her lips while panic ran though her veins. She was feeling scared. Taani threw her self away and ran outside her room, she went in her brother's room where she found Rey along with her brother.
"Bhai! Bhai, that guy-" She started off. Rey and Swayum rushed to her, seeing her tensed face, both were visible worried for her.
"What, taani? What happen?" Swayum held her shoulders and asked her softly.
"The guy who sent gifts, he called and he said, he is standing outside our house." Taani told him. Anger coursed through their veins hearing her, without waisting a moment, they both rushed out of the room and a scared taani, followed them.
Swayum opened the main door, taani was standing behind Rey and Swayum, she peaked out and found a guy standing there, his back was facing them.
Rey and Swayum, didn't thought about anything, they moved toward the guy. Anger had blinded Swayum and Rey, the mere thought of someone troubling taani, made their blood boiled. Swayum kept his hand on the guy's shoulder, the guy turned around and at the same time, Rey raised his fist and punched him across his face, making him fall down on the ground. The guy groaned painfully and turned to them, swayum and rey were left shocked when they saw his face.
"What the-"
