The doorbell rang. Nilima opened the door wondering who it might be the visitor at this hour. It was 10:30 pm.

"Arey Aman, come!" she said smiling when she saw Aman.

"Namaste Aunty! Sorry for disturbing you at this hour..." said Aman.

"No problem beta..." said Anup coming out from his study, "Good that you came! Did anything happen there? Arnav isn't ready to tell anything...!"

"Yes! Even I am not permitted to enter his room today...!!" said Payal, "Ab tum hi jaa ke baat karo...!!"

"But what exactly happened, beta?" asked Nilima.

"Nothing Aunty, just a little argument..." replied Aman, not wanting to let them know the seriousness of it.

"Argument?!!" said Payal, "I hope it isn't with that girl..."

"Yes Bhabhi, he had an argument with Khushi..." told Aman.

"Poor girl... God knows what problem Arnav has with her..." said Payal, feeling bad for Khushi.

"Isn't Khushi the same girl who had planned the event??" asked Anup.

"Yes Uncle, she is the one!" replied Aman. "Very talented she is! Bohot hunhaar ladki hai!!"

"Haan beta! Woh toh pata chal hi gaya!" said Anup. "The event was very well organized!"

Everyone agreed.

"Aap sab log aaye, achha laga! Thank you for coming!" said Aman.

Everyone smiled.

"Ismein 'thank you' ki kya baat hai beta, apna event tha...!" said Anup. No need to say thank you'... This was our event!

Aman smiled.

"Err, I will just go talk to Arnav" said Aman.

"Haan haan, jaao...!" replied Payal.

Aman left towards Arnav's room.

Here Anup secretly asked Payal, "Koi pyaar-vyaar ka chakkar hai kya?" Is it a matter of love?

Payal laughed, "Nahi Papa, yeh toh nafrat ka chakkar hai...!!" No Papa, it's a matter of hatred!

Everyone laughed.

"Where's Akash?" asked Nilima.

"Akash?!!" said Payal in a teasing tone, "He is busy telling stories to Riya!"

Everyone giggled.

Aman reached Arnav's room. He knocked the door with, "Arnav?!! Open the door..."

There was no reply. Aman was about to knock again when the door was unlocked. Aman went in and closed the door behind him.

"Kya hai yeh sab Arnav?!!" said Aman, "What is all this...?? Whatever you are doing is not right, do you understand that?!!!"

"Mujhe sikhaane ki zaroorat nahi hai...!! Why don't you give HER a lecture?!! Why don't you tell her to stop doing all this?"

"Stop doing what, haan?!! Kya kiya hai usne Arnav? What has she done? Tell me... I want to know!!" demanded Aman.

"Kyun hai woh yahan??!! Why is she here?!! Gussa aata hai mujhe usay dekh ke... Darr lagta hai mujhe!!" She makes me angry... I am afraid...

"Oh!! Darr!! Toh tumhein darr lagta hai... kis baat ka darr, haan??!! Tell me Arnav!!" Afraid! What are you afraid of?!

"Mujhe nahi pata yaar!!!" shouted Arnav..."Mujhe nahi pata mujhe kyun darr lagta hai... nahi jaanta main aisa kyun hai!! I have no idea why is all this the way it is! I just don't know!!"

Aman was taken aback. There was silence.

After a few minutes, Aman initiated, "Dekho Arnav, mujhe nahi pata tum Khushi ke saath aisa kyun kar rahe ho... I don't know why the hell you are doing this... But have you ever thought what Khushi is going through right now!! Pata hai kitna ro rahi thi woh tumhaare jaane ke baad?!! Kya guzar rahi hogi uss pe...!! Bina kisi wajah har baar usay daant dete ho... You insult her for no reason... Itna achha event organize kiya ussne, and what did you do? Uski taareef karna toh door, you just slammed her again for no reason!! Why Arnav?!! Why should she suffer for whatever happened in your past?!! Woh Khushi hai Arnav, Sheetal nahi...!!!!" She organized such a great event, and what did you do? Forget praising her, you slammed her again for no reason! Why should she suffer? She is Khushi, and not Sheetal!

Arnav listened silently.

"Aur kiss hadd tak gaye tum, you even locked her in a room and..."

"I didn't do it!! Why are you blaming me for THAT!!!"

"Listen Arnav, I don't know what you actually have done and what you haven't..." said Aman. Arnav was shocked. Aman continued, "She was very upset Arnav, bohot ro rahi thi... Badi mushkil se usay samjhaake aa raha hoon... Poor girl... She has been silently tolerating everything... I don't think she will stay in our company for long...!! She will soon resign, dekh lena tum!! And that will be just because of you!!"

This pinched Arnav. But he remained silent.

"Socha tha tumse kuchh baat kar loon... magar meri baaton se tum mein koi fark toh padne nahi waala..." I had come here to talk to you, but you won't listen to me anyway...

Arnav looked at Aman, surprised.

"Chalta hoon main...!" said Aman and left the room. I am leaving...

Arnav was still trying to digest what Aman had said.

Here, Mr. Kulkarni congratulated Khushi for organizing the event wonderfully. He praised all their efforts as he handed her the final pay cheque. Khushi felt satisfied.

It was about 11:15 pm. Khushi, the team and all the volunteers were about to leave, when she received a call. It was from Garima.

"Amma, you know what, the event was great!! We are just leaving... Will tell you everything in detail when I reach home!!"

Khushi was very excited to go home and tell everything, of course not about Arnav, to Amma, Babuji and Dadi.

She checked her watch.

"It's quite late... If I go now to return these clothes to Arnav Sir, he will again get angry. I will go to his home tomorrow before going to office... I am going to get yelled at anyways, better to accept the insult at his home than at the office in front of everyone..." thought Khushi and left for home.

Aman came down the staircase and was about to inform Nilima that he was leaving, when he was suddenly pulled to his side into a corner.

"Bhaiyya aap?!!" said Aman when he realized it was Akash.

"Shhh!!" said Akash. "Did you speak to Arnav?"

"Yes, I did..." replied Aman.

"Could you find out what the matter is?"

"No Bhaiyya, he just keeps saying that she makes him angry... And yes, he also says that he is afraid... But he doesn't know the reason!"

"Yes, he has said that many times... But afraid of what?? Did he say anything?"

"No Bhaiyya, he was enraged when I asked him..."

"So, what do you think Aman?"

"Bhaiyya, I think he is afraid of having to suffer the fate as Karan had to..." said Aman.

"Hmm, that means he is afraid of Khushi doing the same to him that Sheetal did to Karan..." said Akash thoughtfully.

"Oh!! Toh iska mutlab, Arnav ko shayad iss baat ka darr lagta hai ki kahin usay Khushi se..." So that means he is afraid that Khushi is the girl he is fall...

"Exactly Aman!! Even I feel the same!!"

Both were very excited.

"We need to find out the truth somehow..."

"Ab toh humein pata karna hi padega..."
