Chapter 8
Taani opened her eyes when she heard her son's cries. She got down from the bed and rushed to her baby. She picked him up in her arms and realized he need a nappy change.
"What happen, taani? Why is he crying?" Rey, who has just returned back from jogging, asked her.
"He needs a nappy change." Taani told him, She made Rihaan lay down on the bed and changed his nappy. She picked him up in her arms and patted his back gently and soon his cries subsided and he slept in his mother's embrace, ignoring his father completely who tried talking to him.
"He is mumma's boy, completely." Rey narrowed his eyes at his son.
"Are you jealous that he loves me more?" Taani raised her one eye brow at him, questioningly.
"What? Offcourse not, taani. He love both of us equally." Rey retorted.
"He loves me more, accept it. And I am going to take a bath." Taani said to him. She made Rihaan sleep in his cradle.
She took her clothes from closet and went in washroom where as Rey sat on the bed, since it was sunday, he wasn't in hurry of going to work today.
"I should take her out today, may be for a movie." Rey thought to himself, since he was away from home for 2 months due to business, he wants to spend some alone time with his wife. They hardly get time to spend with each other, that exclusive time, just them which they don't get since they are busy with their respective works and set of responsibilities.

"Taani, Get ready. We are going for a movie." Rey told his wife as after lunch they entered their room.
"We can't go. Rey, We can't leave Rihaan alone." Taani told him.
"Taani, Mom will look after Rihaan. And its your favorite, salman khan's movie, how can you even think of missing it."
"Rey, I don't feel right leaving him alone." Taani voiced out her fear. Rey stepped close to her and held her hand in his.
"Mom will take care of him, and if something happen then she will inform us." Rey assured her, taani look at him, she didn't wanted to upset him by denying his wish thus agreed to go for movie. Rey smiled at her and hugged her tightly, surprising her.
She wrapped her arms around him and hugged him. Her husband's every gesture made her fall for him more harder.
Love was blooming between them.

"BuaJi!" Ragini was surprised seeing subhadra devi there along with her grandson, Shivam. She took subhadra devi's blessings and welcomed them inside. They settled in living area.
"Taiji, Where is Rey bhai and bhabhi? I haven't even met new bhabhi yet-" Shivam said to Ragini, who smiled at him. Since shivam was studying in uk, he wasn't present when during Rey and Taani's marriage and haven't met her.
"They are out on a movie date." Ragini answered him.
"Wow! Rey bhai is turning romantic, not bad." Shivam snickered.
Subhadra devi made an uninterested face and look at Ragini with stern look.
"Chotti bahu left Rihaan alone at home? Would she had done same if Rihaan was her own?" She didn't cared to hide her disliking toward taani.
"Bua dadi, it will be better if you don't comment over this. We all know how much taani loves Rihaan." A voice came from behind, they turned and found Rey & Taani standing there, taani had tears in her eyes, hurt by subhadra devi's comment over her motherly love toward Rihaan.
She has always love and treated Rihaan like her own and will continue to do so. That little baby is her life. So what she didn't gave him birth, it doesn't make any difference in love for him.
"Reyaansh! Is this how you to talk to your elders? This girl has brainwashed you-" Subhadra glared at taani, who shifted close to Rey, feeling uncomfortable under her gaze.
"When elders are wrong, its our responsibility to correct them. I don't doubt her love for my child, will never do so. It was her who took care of him when no one was there. She was the one who picked him up in her arms for the first time and rihaan refused to let go of her.When that little child can recognized her love, then why can't you?" Rey voiced out his anger, to his bua dadi who ignored him. For her, Taani wasn't the right one for Rey and Rihaan.
"I won't tolerate anyone badmouthing about my wife. Elder or not-" Rey told her, then he got hold of taani's hand and took her upstairs in their bedroom.
He made her face him, by holding her shoulders in gentle grip.
"Don't think about bua dadi's words. She is just like that, when she doesn't like someone, she taunts them, ignoring their good qualities." Rey said to her who weeped silently. She wrapped her arms around him and buried her face in his chest.
Rey hugged her tightly, giving her the comfort she needed.
"Taani, are you alright beta?" She pulled away from Rey when she heard her mother-in-law, ragini's voice from the door. She gave a small nod to her as Ragini came inside with Rihaan in her arms, who started throwing his arms in air seeing taani in front of his eyes, gesturing his mother to take him.
Taani stepped forward and took Rihaan in her arms. She kissed his chubby cheek and held him close to her heart.
"Don't take buaji's words on heart, beta." Ragini caressed her cheek. Taani gave a small smile in response and nodded her head.
Ragini left from there, since she had to attend subhadra devi and shivam.
Rey look at his wife, who was visibly upset. He frowned, not liking her sad face. He went behind her and hugged her from behind, earning a loud gasp from her.
"Did you see, Rihaan, mumma is upset. Don't you think she look awful with this saddie-saddie look?" Rey spoke in childish tone, taani was amused seeing her oh-so-mature husband, behaving so childishly.
"Hm. But what should we do to make her smile?" Rey clutched her waist tightly and pulled her close to him. Taani could feel her heart beating loudly against her ribcage, his close proximity drove her crazy. Butterflies erupted inside her belly, feeling his hand traveling on her bare belly.
"How about tickling? I had heard mumma's is quite ticklish-" Rey whispered huskily in her ear. Her eyes widen hearing him.
"Rey, don't you dare-" She warned him but as he was going to listen to her. He started tickling her sides, taani burst into fits of laughter and held Rihaan more tightly, so he won't fall. She tried coming out of Rey's grasp but he continued his sweet assault.
"Ah! Rey! Please stop! Rey!" She spoke between her laughter, her eyes filled with tears as she laughed whole heartedly. Rey laughed along with her where as Rihaan was giggling as well, finding his parents act amusing and funny.
"You have to promise first, that you won't be upset over bua dadi's useless talks."
"Fine! I promise, now stop." Taani promised and as promised, he stopped. Both were panting heavily, but smile never left their lips.
"You look more beautiful when you smile." He whispered. He cupped her face in his palms, bending down he kissed her forehead gently. Once again taking her breath away with him small yet special gesture.
"Go, change your clothes, then we will have ice cream we have brought." Rey said to her, Taani nodded with a smile. She handed Rihaan to him and went in washroom after taking her clothes from closet.
Her thoughts were roaming around her husband. Ever since he had returned back from london trip, he seems to have taken over her mind in a whole new form. Maybe that form had been always there, but dormant. Her feelings are changing for him. Her feelings are no longer the friendly ones.
And she knew at that moment that she had fallen for husband.
