so just bcoz of a petty thing as reputation.. ap nd sujju want shomi to actually kill an innocent life...
I won't be surprised if pari gets impregnated in late 30s,or 40s, these two will tell her that reputation is more important than ur happiness of being a mother...

Dearie for their house its different they r husband family and rich too so that child will be a Gods' blessing s . for shomi it is abt reputation . shomi is worried abt her daughters and she knows if they don't follow they might be thrown out it is so easy for them. Actually they are more concerned bcoz of mixed race and bcoz they r on boys side or else if they were on girls side they will kept mum
