Here's an update!

I don't know where I'm going with this but hope you enjoy it!

Sona stopped pacing the kitchen and looked impatiently at her phone to check the time. She then opened the fridge and took out some radishes and cucumbers and started cutting them for Dev, fondly remembering the memory of Dev caringly yelling at her for cutting her finger.

As soon as Mrs. Bose finished making the soup, Sona packed up the soup and the salad and headed out the door, telling her mom that she'll explain it later. Sona called over an auto and got in, calling Dev on the way.

"Hello Ms. Bose where are you?" Dev sounded restless on the phone and Sona got worried.

"I'm on my way Mr. Dixit. I will be there in 10 minutes." As soon as Sona hung up the phone, Dev closed his eyes to get some rest.

Dev had drifted off to sleep but then he felt a hand on his forehead and his eyes shot open. As soon as his eyes opened, his eyes fell on Sona's beautiful eyes and he felt something stir in his heart, but he didn't know what it was. He didn't recognize this feeling because he had never felt it before.

Sona moved her hand away from Dev's forehead and Dev tried to ignore the state of incompleteness it left him in.

"I brought you food Mr. Dixit." Sona got busy taking out the food. She left the room and came back with a small lap tray.

Dev struggled to sit up in bed and Sona rushed to his side and grabbed his shoulder to help him sit up against his headboard. Sona put the lap tray on Dev's lap and served the food onto the tray.

Dev started drinking the soup and a smile came upon his face. The thought of Ms. Bose cooking for him made him happy.

"Wow Ms. Bose. Did you learn how to cook?" Sona shook her head and smiled.

"Mom actually made that for dinner so I warmed it up and brought it for you." She lied. How could she explain to Dev that she woke her mom up in the middle of the night to make food for him? He would think she was crazy and she didn't want him questioning her sanity again.

"I did cut this salad though." She said excitedly, placing the contained on the tray. Dev initially sighed at it but started eating it anyways. After all, Ms. Bose did wake up in the middle of the night and bring him food. She was too caring and he didn't know if he deserved it.

She was standing next to Dev's bed the entire time and it bothered Dev. Dev reached for her wrist and pulled her down next to him. Sona blushed and scooted back against the headboard, her legs hanging off the side of his bed.

As Dev finished up eating, they both remained quite but it was comfortable. Silences were always uncomfortable for Sona, but this silence right now felt familiar and comfortable.

Dev took the last sip of his soup and looked over to his left to find a fast asleep Ms. Bose. He smiled to himself. This was nice. He liked not fighting with Ms. Bose. He liked Ms. Bose by his side. Ms. Bose's bangs were on her face and Dev reached his hand out and moved her bangs behind her ear. Dev kept looking at Sona's beautiful sleeping face, unable to process what he was feeling right now.

Sona suddenly woke up, with Dev's fingers still touching her ear. Dev quickly moved his hand back and cleared his throat.

Sona got off of the bed and removed the tray from Dev's lap.

"You should get some sleep Mr. Dixit. I'll go put this in the kitchen and head back home. Good night." Sona started to leave. Something in Dev stirred and he had to stop her.

"Ms. Bose wait." Sona turned around, tray still in her hand.

"Can you please stay here for tonight? I would really like some company."

Dev could see the look of confusion on Sona's face and decided that he should clarify his request.

"I'm just stressed about work and won't be able to go to sleep anyways. Plus I threw away the sleeping pills because of you. At least stay an hour so I can talk to you about my problems and get things off of my chest."

Sona looked reluctant at first but agreed.

"Okay Mr. Dixit, your time starts now." Sona was still standing and Dev tapped the bed with his hand where Sona had been sitting previously. Sona raised her eyebrows in her state of confusion.

"Come sit down Ms. Bose. I don't want you to stand there for a hour and get tired."

"Fine." Sona sat next to Dev on the bed, looking down at her lap and playing with her fingers.

"Ms. Bose you have to look at me for us to have a conversation." Sona smiled and turned to look at Dev. That smile she saw in Dev's eyes gave her hope of their future but she quickly dismissed the idea, sticking to her need-to-move-on idea.

"Alright Mr. Dixit, what's been bothering you these days?"

Dev started talking about the Gujaral deal and all the bumps he was experiencing along the road. He still hadn't said yes to Natasha's marriage proposal so there were some complications from their side of the deal. Because of this, Dev had to work extra hard to make compromises to make a deal that would benefit his company without marrying Natasha.

Dev had been working all his life and had made so many sacrifices for his company and his family. When Ma told him that he should make this decision on his own, he decided that he didn't want to force himself to marry someone he didn't love. He even tried to fall in love with Natasha by spending more time with her and going on dates but all he felt with her was discomfort and a strange sense of obligation due to the deal. But it was never love or trust or care.

He wanted to marry someone he loved. But he never told these things to Ms. Bose.

He wanted to marry someone he cared about. The only person who he has truly cared about aside from his family was Ms. Bose. But he always thought he did this because Ms. Bose took such good care of his mom and his family.

As he kept talking about his problems, he started feeing bad for taking up Ms. Bose's time. It was getting late and he decided to let Ms. Bose go.

"Thank you for your help and advise Ms. Bose. I can always rely on you." Dev loved the smile that brightened up Sona's face at that.

Sona got off the bed.

"No problem Mr. Dixit. Let me check your temperature." Sona told Dev to open his mouth so she can put the thermometer under his tongue. His temperature had dropped to a low fever and Sona sighed in relief.

"You're showing good progress Mr. Dixit. Now get some sleep."

"Wait, Ms. Bose. Don't go home alone at this time. My driver can drop you off. Goodnight Ms. Bose." Sona gave him a quick nod and turned off his room lights. She headed out after putting the tray in the kitchen.

Dev heard the car leaving and he smiled to himself. Ms. Bose actually listened to him and took the car. She usually protests when he tries to help her.

Dev closed his eyes and tried to sleep but the image of Ms. Bose was stuck in his head. He drifted to sleep, thinking about her smile.
