Debate between Kareena-Ranbir fans about who's better?
Wanna see post leap trp ?????? Geetu vs Abhimaan romance who won??
As was the routine since she was in the city, Khushi took off even before the sun thought to rise from its slumber. She came to the point where she knew Arnav would come during his morning jog and she stood in the shadows. This was her guilty pleasure of seeing him from afar while her rest of the day passed in reaching her goal. Only Nik knew about her this nightly drill and followed her when he thought she needed a friend, though he would never say that on her face.
Since she got back to her senses she wanted to see him like someone awaits relief in acute pain. She wanted to meet him since she could return to her natural activities. She wanted to touch him since she first saw him standing by the gate of his mansion hidden behind the security booth driving away in a mad rush. And when her craving got out of control she started this routine to watch him when he wasn't driving away in a car or surrounded by people in the crowd. She watches him, feels his nearness when he comes to this point jogging and stands to catch his breath for a while.
That day too she was waiting in the shadows when he came. When it was time for him to run back she couldn't stop herself to get a little closer to him and then it happened. He picked up speed and she couldn't move away fast enough and they collided. She had moved away and hidden herself quick enough but she knew he had felt something as he searched for the person whom he had collided with but she stayed firm in her place until he went away.
A lone tear, that's all she had let out because what she felt at that moment a few tear drops could not do justice to the feeling. He was her only chance to a life that could have brought her what she had missed all her life and didn't want to acknowledge until she had met him, love. And she had lost it because of a few selfish people. And worst of all they did it to her when she was in the most vulnerable state.
The desolation of that injustice cannot be relieved with few tears. There was a silent roar raging inside her and when it will tear open the barrier of her strong faade it will shake the ground beneath those people making sure that they too would cry tears of blood and loss for the devastation there one biassed judgment had caused Arnav and her.
She heard him approaching and she slipped behind the lone mahogany tree on the side road.
Arnav stood panting. His hands clenched the side of his abdomen muscle as they cramped up with excessive exertion. Feeling too exhausted he decided to sit in one of the cemented benches made by the authority for the tired pedestrians.
He threw his head back as he tried to relax his sore muscles. After a minute or so he got a nagging feeling of being watched. Wondering who could be here watching him at this ungodly hour he tried to look around but seeing no one he shrugged and relaxed on his seat.
Another minute may have passed suddenly he stood up with a jerk and turned towards the darkened area behind him in a lighting speed and saw a shadow move hurriedly behind a huge tree.
Even in that millisecond worth glimpse, with his senses on high alert, he recognised the shadow to be the same person on whom he bumped on the other day. He ran to catch the person before she or he could disappear again. He reached the area but found nobody. By his peripheral vision, he caught a fast movement. Turning he saw someone running in the opposite direction. He too followed as fast as his legs could carry him. He desperately wanted to see the face hidden beneath the hood and for that, he needed to get a hold of this mysterious person, who, he had figured followed him on a daily basis when he jogged.
Suddenly he saw a car came from nowhere and ground to a halt before them and the person before him jumped in the car before it took off at an astonishing speed.
He punched the air in frustration for losing the chance. Now he doubted if he would get such opportunity again when this fellow knew about his knowledge of him/her.
Cursing loudly he was about run back when his eyes fell on something that shone with the first rays of the sun on the ground. It was a badge.
He picked it up and observed the piece of metal with care. It wasn't a kind of the badge he had ever seen. A five pointed silver star encircled in a gold band. There was an eagle with open wings engraved amidst the star in silver.
He wondered what is this badge represents. Some organisation, company or agency! Illegal or legal! But whatever or whoever this badge represents; the main question was why someone who carried such badge would follow him?
He would have to find out. He pocketed the badge and turn to run back to his mansion.

"You might want to thank me," Nik quipped. But seeing Khushi's thoughtful expression he questioned 10
instead, "What's wrong?"
She next "spoke in a trance, "If I wouldn't have been sleeping in a coma when they were deciding my fate then what do you think would have happened?
Nik took a good look at her face trying to gauge her mood but finding nothing under the composed mask he chose to answer honestly, "You would have rebelled against them. You wouldn't have betrayed your job but you would have taken the opportunity that the contract was about to end and decided something that favoured all, the team, you and especially Arnav."
"I would have seen the end of it because I think I am answerable for this task even it would have been the last one. And then I would have come clean to Arnav and let him decide for us. He deserved his fair share. But I would have never let them gamble with our lives." Until now Khushi spoke dazedly but her expression darkened as she gritted out, "Now it's my turn to pay them back in kind."
Nik felt a chill run down his spine with the intensity of her fury and he knew no one will go unscathed this time.
**
Arnav stared at the badge. He had tried the internet to find something about it but he got nothing. No image match found. But one thing he guessed this badge had something to do with Indian Armed Force because of the eagle symbol. The internet image search showed almost every force of Indian army used the eagle as a symbol for something or the other. Well, he could be wrong as this eagle didn't quite match those symbols but he had to start from somewhere. And he knew the right person to ask his doubt.
He made the call but to his displeasure the man of his interest was unreachable as he was away from his base for some internal official work. Now he needed to wait for three days before he could get any information.
Sighing he left the recliner he was sitting on and walked to his walk in closet. He opened a secret small chamber in one of the cupboards and kept the badge there. Locking the small case securely he changed to go to the office and came out only to find his Di standing in the middle of the room with a tray of food. A forced smile plastered on her face.
**
Anjali saw her brother walking towards her with a calm expression and steely look in his eyes. The warmth that used to appear genuinely when she was in front of him now a story of past. She wanted to cry to make her brother see how much it pained her. She wanted to say how much his indifference hurt his once mother figure. She wanted to rage at him, force him to bring back her same nannav who worshipped the ground she walked. But she could not. Because if Arnav was like this today it was nobody's fault but hers.
"I brought you some breakfast." She said sweetly and placed the tray on the tea table near the recliner.
His unsmiling face hurt yet she managed to carry on with her charade of normalcy and started preparing a plate for him.
Arnav wanted to protest but he knew he had been too hard on his Di since she had tried to force him to forget Khushi and start a new life with someone else. Well not just in talks but even after his vicious disagreement she had tried many manipulative ways to get him to meet girls and once almost got him married if not for Lavanya's timely intervention. He still shuddered to think of that day.
He had just come back from the office and to his horror, he had seen Di slipping down the stairs just he had reached the entrance of the hall. He had run to her and carried her unconscious body to the nearest sofa.
Like a maniac, he had called the whole house down. The doctor had come soon after. After the check-up, he had said she had a high BP may be due to stress and that's what made her dizzy and thus the fall. She had sprained her ankle due to the fall otherwise no major injury. It was the time he was still grappling with Khushi's loss and he couldn't even imagine of something happening to his Di.
It was that weakest moment when he was himself dizzy with worry for his Di that his Di had come to her senses and said it was him who was the reason of her worries. She had broken down before him saying that since Khushi happened in his life he never paid any heed to what his Di thought good for him and now when she was gone still he wasn't listening to her pleas to make his life better. She had said he had no idea how much it pricks her to see her brother living a half life whom she had raised as her son and wasting it after a girl who was never coming back.
In any other time Arnav would have clearly noticed Anjali's dislike for Khushi in her words but as said it was one of his weakest moments and like any obedient brother he had agreed to make his Di stressfree.
She took this opportunity to fix his alliance and would have guilt talked him into it if not for Lavanya, who found out in time that the doctor was asked to exaggerate things so that his sister could manipulate him emotionally and get her way. That was the time he realised how much his sister wanted to detach him with Khushi even from her memories and that was the time he really noticed for the first time that how much she disapproved of Khushi and felt relieved with her gone. That was the last straw before the relation between the brother and sister had gone sour.
That time, even Shyam didn't stand for Anjali saying that she had really gone overboard with her dislike towards Khushi and then something happened between the husband-wife and both looked aloof from each other since then.
Arnav didn't bother to find out as he was fighting with his own demons at that time though he had a little inkling.
Anyways all those were almost one and half a year ago. He tried to peek into his own heart to see that if he held the same sourness towards his Di. Although the answer was no but he also didn't find the same respect for her inside him again. Love was there just not the level of respect like before. He sighed.
Anjali heard him sigh and looked up. She heard him speak to her without an effort from her side after so long.
"Thank you, Di. Um... when Saiyu and Anay are coming for their summer vacation. I have been missing them lately."
Anjali noticed his hesitation and how Arnav he kept the topic in safe territory still she felt happy that he at least made an effort so she replied as enthusiastically, "In a week. They have already made so many plans with Akash for the weakened." She said smiling fondly.
Arnav too smiled but it's soon changed into a pained one as he picked up from what Anjali said "Yeah with Akash. Even staying here I have been missing from their life since..." But he caught himself in time before he spoke of Khushi in front of Anjali. "Anyways tell them not to keep all the plans for Akash chachu only. Tell them I have asked them to save a few plans for me too."
Anjali saw his forlorn expression but chose not to comment because once when she tried to change that, had cost her gravely. Two of her most special relation had gone sour for her one try. And now when her brother was acting a bit normal towards her she wanted to grasp the brighter side of the deal. So she chirped with excitement showing in her countess, "I will surely let them know. They will be so happy you know. They have been missing you too." Then she proceeded to leave reminding her brother once to finish the breakfast.
" Di" Arnav called when she was about to cross the threshold of his room.
She stopped but didn't turn. The lack of expression in his voice scaring her a little.
Arnav too left his seat and turned the other way because what he was about to say he cannot if she turned "You do realise that what is lost between us cannot be mended so easily. But I will try to keep the bitterness at bay when kids arrive. I hope that lessens a little of your worry. I cannot promise more than this at this time." he paused for a while to give her some time before he delivered the blow "And one more thing Di, I can forgive but I can never forget." And with that, he walked out of the room to the connected pool area leaving a breathless Anjali in his wake.
Only she knew the impact of his words had on her!
She left his room in shaky steps.
**
Lavanya's eyes narrowed as she inspected Anjali's haggard face. She had a hunch that why Anjali looked so worked up hearing Arnav's final words and suddenly she felt so violent against the elder lady walking before her that she had to look away to control her wild emotions.
**
Lavanya stomped in their room.
Akash looked up from his laptop started. Not quite able to guess the reason behind his wife's agitation he thought of asking but just then the glass pane of the large window in their room rattled in the strong wind. Akash looked out to find the untimely cloud gathering in the horizon. A storm was coming.
The loud bang from the other side of the room told him that Lavanya had taken refuge in the bathroom. His wife did this often. Whenever she was pissed she would splash cold water on her face to cool down.
His phone beeped indicating an incoming message. He read the message and got up to leave for office.
Taking his laptop and files he turned one last time to check if he left something behind and his eyes once again wondered out of the window. The storm had already hit.
**
Since the party, Arnav had been behaving very strange. Their communication was limited to office and work. He wouldn't say a single word more than necessary to her and wouldn't call her in his cabin without absolute importance. Yet Khushi could almost always feel his piercing gaze on her whenever she was around him or he was around her. It was unnerving even for the tough Aleen Grover. She always got worked up when she didn't have a clue of the opponent which was rarer than rare. And here Arnav was testing her already waning patience like anything.
If it was one of those quirky tricks of teenage then he would have it from her. But she could not take Arnav as someone who would try such thing. So it bothered.
Arnav, on the other hand, was pissed. Since the day she had made a mockery of his not so sincere confession he didn't want to give her the pleasure of knowing that she mattered. Her presence, her opinion, her gestures, her looking at him, her being her before him, mattered. In her small little ways how she took care of his problems and health, mattered. It mattered a hell lot of deal and Arnav was lost for an answer to his brain's why?
Though his heart had some clue but when the woman in concern thought of him like any other cheap playboy, Arnav Singh Raizada will be damned before he blurted his turmoil in front of the same woman again.
And it would have been easy to deal with the mess she had made of his heart and mind if only she wouldn't have been around so much.
It looked like wherever he would go she was there. But he also knew it was childish of him to think like that.
How can you avoid your own PA?
So he sincerely prayed for his old PA's early return quite a quandary to what he wanted before.
**
"Khushi"Lavanya stormed in her cabin with a paper in her hand.
In response Khushi only hummed and stayed glued to the screen of her laptop.
Seeing the lack of response Lavanya thrust the paper in front of her face knowing that would get her to react.
Khushi's eyes automatically scanned the paper before she took it in her hand. "What's this?"
"A guy from the back office came to our department two days back saying he was getting spam emails in his office mail id" Lavanya made herself comfortable in one of the chairs opposite to Khushi.
"So" Khushi probed knowing Lavanya would not come to her for some mundane office gossip in this time when both of them have their hands full with too many works.
"I asked the guy what kind of spam emails? And the guy went red on the face and after lots of stuttering he said and I quote his exact words," She air coated, "kind of invitation for fun"
Khushi's brows rose high before she again checked the print outs. They do look like as the guys said invitation for, well, he was too polite with his words and have used fun' instead of f*ck'
Lavanya smirked as their eyes met before she switched to her business mood and continued "That got me little spooked. Because normally this kind of mails get filtered itself when our server doesn't recognise the sender as AR related. For all junior employees, it's same. They are not supposed to receive personal or out of work mail in their work mail id." She paused to see if Khushi getting what she was trying to say and saw her sitting erect with a thoughtful expression which meant she was trying to gauge where she was going with her narrative. She continued "When I accessed his id and checked his mails I found 2-3 such mails. It was strange. Why wasn't the mail filter working for this employee? But as I checked I got my answer. Someone has upgraded this guy's mail id to our level, and as we can receive and send mails as we please, this guy too. And moreover, he has disabled the spam filter that normally worked for our emails for virus protection. But, of course, the employee isn't aware of this himself otherwise he wouldn't have come to us." She paused to take a breath.
What else did you find? Khushi knew Lavanya had more in her kitty because she doesn't leave a job half done.
"I checked the ids from where those mails have come and they were different, however, the server is same. So it seems someone is sending this person mail from various ids sitting in the same place. But why? just to irritate him. I tried to track the sender and voila..."Lavanya paused dramatically. That got Khushi leaning towards Lavanya in curiosity.
"It is password locked. Any way to track down the sender was password locked. I could have still tried to break the code lock but if it is highly secured then they would get notified as soon as I try and that would have got the sender's hackles raised, whoever it is. That is not what we want now, are we? So I came here to check with you what do you suggest?" Lavanya fell back on her chair after such lengthy explanation.
Khushi traced the printout once again. The three messages are more or less same other than the phone numbers.
First read, Wanna meet me tonight. Call me 402-2140
Wanna have some fun after work. Call me 110- 2030
Have fun after the sun down. Call me 511-1700
"Let me get this straight. A guy comes in your office saying that he is getting spam emails when he is not supposed to. And you see his mail has got upgraded. The senders of this spam emails are different though the origin is same. But when you tried to access to know who it is you come to know it is password secured and risky to break because then we might get nothing. And possibly if they smell that we are on their tail then whoever these mails are for may also become alerted because it is obviously not for this employee whose id it is. And you also think this is related to our assignment.
"Genious," Lavanya exclaimed grinning to irritate Khushi.
Khushi mock smiled before she went to her thinking mode again.
Then she spoke in a trance as if talking to herself, "The guy comes himself so he is not involved. Because otherwise he would be dumb to come to you. So that means someone from AR has to be involved to get this mail upgraded and maybe the same person whom we are after. But why he would do that. If these messages are not just only spam then they mean something. What and for who? If not this guy then surely someone who knows his windows lock id and password to access his mail. Could be many people. A friend from office or someone from a nearby seat. But why someone wants to access his mail id only, for this transfer?"
Lavanya heard her and tried to make sense of all the whys but unfortunately couldn't.
Khushi suddenly sat up with a jerk and asked, "Lav, you have checked his mails right?"
Lavanya nodded confusedly.
"Did you see any mail concerning any leave application for this person recently?"
Lavanya thought for a few second before she exclaimed "Yeah there was one. He was in two weeks leave for his own marriage. Why?"
Because it seems while this guy was away someone has used his id to communicate for whatever reason. And maybe he/she already knew when this person was supposed to mail. So he only logged in in those days for a short while so that it won't come to the notice of the IT people soon." Khushi concluded then frowned, "But why didn't he degraded the account and deleted the emails before this guy was supposed to join his duty back? And there has to be someone helping this fellow with this mail up gradation from IT or top bosses or else how he could have done it?"
"I don't know about the helping part but I can answer your previous doubts," Lavanya stated.
"And what is that?" Khushi probed.
"This guy has joined back two days prior to his supposed leave time because of some pending work. Maybe whoever accessing his computer didn't get the time to clear his trail.
"Somewhat explains. Yet wasn't he supposed to delete the mails as soon as he reads., Khushi again voiced her doubt.
"Be thankful about that," Lavanya said looking smug.
"Nope, be aware of it that they have a new member in the team from the company, a novice, who does the mistake of forgetting," Khushi said in her matter of fact way. "And play it down, the mail issue. Because if it reaches them then they will be alert. And we don't want that. Do we?"
"Okay," Lavanya nodded agreeing with her.
"Until then let me find out what this mail could mean?" Khushi's eyes fastened to the sheet again and Lavanya' took it as her cue to leave and she did.
Khushi fell back on her chair thinking hard.
And that was how Arnav found her when he entered her cabin unannounced, lost in her thoughts.
**
Arnav saw Lavanya leave Khushi's cabin and before the door could swing shut he entered pushing it a little. He found her leaned back in her chair. Staring at the ceiling. She looked lost in some deep matter. He for once was not sure of disturbing her but next moment he thought, what the heck. I am his boss for Pete's sake.
He walked more in the room making enough noise to make her aware of his presence. He didn't know that she already knew the moment he had stepped on her cabin door. His aftershave lotion and perfume were too familiar for her to not catch her senses as soon as he was around.
So she took him off guard when she turned and stood up in respect asking, "Is there anything important sir? You could have called me." She put the printout inside a file in the pretext of tidying up.
"NO"it came out louder than he intended as he snapped out of his dumbfound state.
Khushi looked up to understand what got him so worked up.
Arnav cleared his throat to control his volume before he spoke again "I was going out for a meeting and won't be coming before evening I guess. So if anything comes up when I am away, message me but don't call. I might not be able to answer."
"Okay." Khushi stretched wondering why he came here to inform when he could have called her for this.
What would she know that it was an excuse? All he wanted was to take his fill of her. All he thought before coming here that he might not see her in a whole day if he didn't see her now.
Arnav saw her uncomfortableness before he felt that he had been staring for far too long. With a quick bye, he left leaving Khushi confused with his weird behaviour.
She moved to the window from where she could see the gate of the private parking area and soon she saw Arnav's car pull out from the private parking and left the building.
Her eyes roamed aimlessly around the area before it got stuck in somewhere. She kept on staring the pillar near one parking point and then something clicked in her head. She ran to take the sheet from the file and read the messages once again and looked back to parking area.
She hurriedly took out her phone and messaged her group. "I think we have a lead"
