Love is when one person fully and whole-heartedly surrenders themselves to another person. In the beginning of the show, Roshni had fully surrendered herself to Siddharth, and went to any lengths to protect him, such as even fighting with her mom and leaving her mom's house. However, this was when relations between her mom and her were still not the best, but she still loved her mom. This was when we saw the Sherni Roshni. Even when relations between Siddharth soured, she still loved him and still fought with others for him, even if they were still fighting, such as after her mom filed the domestic violence case and she went to argue with her mom, or when Siddharth's family was at their apartment and she clearly told her mom that she was the BAHU of the Khurana family. Through this process, we slowly saw Roshni losing her family members and some family members turning against her (Simran during the first divorce track), which caused a fear to be born in Roshni of losing those who she loved. This fear slowly started turning into a very deep insecurity, which exploded when she lost her mom, who anchored her, who helped her identify herself. Since those moments of losing people were associated with when she and Siddharth were together, she is now afraid of being close to Siddharth, and is worried about who she will lose next if she does stay with Siddharth.
