Episode:4
[That very day, Rajat along with his CD of VU was off with Mrs.Briganza(their music teacher)in a meeting regarding the then year's musical.]
Mrs.Briganza: So Rajat, I guess we have wasted much time and now we should better start to work on our musical.
Rajat:Yeah ma'am. But iss saal hum karne kya wale hai?
Gaurav(slowly whispering to Mehul):Aur kya, pichle saal ki tarhahi kuch boring karneka iraada hoga.
[Harsh and Mehul gave a silent laugh though it reached Mrs.Briganza's sharp years.]
Mrs.Briganza:Ahem, Gaurav shayad aapne kuch kaha..
Gaurav:(fumbling):Mein..nahi, nahi. Meine to kuch bhi nehi kaha..Lakta hai aap zyaada sunnelagi hai. U know mere chachako bhi yehi bimari thi..woh hai na..
Miss.Briganza:Gaurav! Pls shut ur mouth.!!!
Harsh: Par mam, aapne kuch socha to hoga, I mean about our theme?
Mrs.Briganza: Definetly Harsh. Well, har saal hum kuch educational karte hai.But this year I have thought of something different.
Mehul: Par kya mam?
Mrs.Briganza: Well, this year we have decided to put up a musical drama on the eternal love story of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare.
Gaurav: Kya?!!!!!Ohji Madamji ek bar sara humara theme phirse repeat karenge. Actually meine kuch suna nehi. Matlab suna to hai par doubt bhi hai.
Mrs.Briganza:Gaurav, if u don't want to be thrown out of the musical then pls stop talking rubbish.
Gaurav: Sorry ji![He sat down giving a shameful look.]
Mehul: Par inn sabka kirdaar kaun nivayega?
Mrs.Briganza:Har baar ki tarha iss bar bhi male-leadka kirdaar Rajathi nivayga and u all will be incharge of music.
Harsh: Aur female-laed?
Miss. Briganza:Uski responsibility mein Rajatke upar dena chahti hu. Rajat, u must select the best. Tumhe to pata hai ke iss musical ke upar V.H.U. ki aan, maan aur shaan tiki hui hai.Tum kisibhi year ke ladki ko le saktein ho par she should be talented enough. Tum auditions bhi le saktein ho. On the whole, handle the thing ur way. Hope its clear?
Rajat; Yes maam.
Mrs.Briganza: To phir thik hai by four days i should get to meet the female-lead. Ab tumlog jao, kal baath karenge.
[The cd of vu leaves the scene. After they reached their room, there was a rise of a big conversation indeed on who should be the perfect choice for the female lead.]
Harsh: Mrs.Briganza ne humare hatho kitni badi responsibility sop diya hai. Kyun Rajat?
Gaurav: Hmm!! mein to abtak hairaan hu ki humari kharus music teacher itni romantic kabse ban gayi.
Mehul:Par Rajat ek baath batao, tumhe kya lakta hai humme iss roleke liye kaise ladki chahiye.
Rajat:(moving slowly towards the window and looking up at the twinkling sight of the sky.)Jiski aankbhon mein swarg palta ho, jiski hasi mein baachon jaise bholapaan ho, jiske awaaz mein shahaid jaise mithas ho aur jiski bas ek jhalak sabko deewana kar de, thik ussi tarha jaise Julietko dekhkar Romeo ka haal huya tha.
Gaurav: Yani tera haal jaise hone wala hai,tere uss imaginative dreamgirlko dekhkar. Oye, par waisi ladki humme milegi kaha?
Mehul: Tujhe uski chinta karneki koi zaruraat nahi hai. Woh shayad humme kalhi mil jaya.
Harsh: Ho bhi sakta hai. Chal ab so jatein hai. Kal subhah jaldi bhi to utna hai. Good Night.
Rajat: Good night.
[The three boys put on heir blankets and within a couple of seconds were all asleep, but it looks like Rajat didn't have a nice sleep.He was thinking about his Juliet,which, he thought for a sec, maybe was Sanjana though he ignored it thoroughly. Well, early in the morning(before anyone was up frm the bed), Rajat's sleep was broken by a kind of sweet female melodious tone. He went out of his bed and without anyone know, tiptoed out of the room following the tone. He reached the Shiv temple inside the V.H.U campus and hid himself there in front of a marble pillar.He tried to spot the girl who sang the song in front of the temple. The way she sang'Om Jai Jagdish', her pure heart could easily be recognized through her voice. Rajat could easily conclude that his search was over. He has met his, I mean, Romeo's Juliet for the musical. He was growing more and more curious to know who the girl was when she turned. Rajat's eyes seemed to pop out and guess what the girl was none other than Sanjana!!! Rajat never knew that Sanjana could sing so nicely. He thought of offering her the role of Juliet, but as he was completely spellbounded, he thought it to be a better option to talk about it later.As he was almost out of the pillar Sanjana noticed him.]
Sanjana:Arrey Rajat tum yaha.
Rajat:(spellbound as ever):Woh..mein..Tum batao tum yahan kaise.
Sanjana:Actually bachpanki aadat hai, subhah uthkar pahelein bhagwaan ki puja karti hu.Waise mujhe nehi pata tha ki tum itni jaldi uthjatein ho.
Rajat:Kabhi kabar uth jata hu waise tum gaana gati ho?
S:Ha! actually sangeet mere jeevenka ek ahem hissa hai aur mujhe yeh bhi pata hai ke tumbhi musicko apna zindegi mante ho.Kyun?
[Rajat nodded his head slowly.And before he could say anything more the priest of the temple called out.]
Priest:Beta prasad to lete jao.
[The two moved towards the temple and was going to take the prasad when by mistake it fell down and both of them bent to pick it up at the same time.They put ones hand on the other one's hand unknowingly. They both looked up at each other quite passionately.They wanted to tell something. But they could not realise what.They felt a bit shy, a bit of passion, but why was it so? they didnt understand.They slowly picked up the prasad though silently.Rajat was going to tell something to Sanjana, but when their friends arrived.]
Lavina: arrey Sanjana, tu yaha hai, aur hum tujhe pata nehi kaha kaha dhund rahe the.
Gaurav: Aur Rajat, tu itni jaldi yaha kya kar raha hai aur woh bhi Sanjana ke saath.Hmmm...Kyun bhai kya kar rahe the..
Rajat: Kuch bhi to nehi.Tumlog bhi na.....
Sanjana: Mein abhi aai.(leaves the scene shyly. Rajat though wanted to call her back but stopped himself from doing that.)
Dhruvie:arrey isse kya ho gaya! Khair choro, aaj subhah assembly mein to dhaamal hone wala hai kyun guys?
Harsh: Yeah! Aaj Vikram poore collegeke samne humse sorry kahega.
Rajat: Aur yeh sab sirf aur sirf Sanjanake wajase hui hai.
Mehul: Arrey wah! Lakta hai aajkal koi Sanjanaki kuch zyaada hi tariff karne laga hai.
[In return, Rajat gave Mehul a rebuking look.]
Lavina: Khair, ab jaldi chalo, assembly mein derse pohochna hai kya?
Rajat: Par Sanjana..
Gaurav:(putting hand on Rajat's shoulder)Yaar, Sanjana koi chhoti bachi nehi hai, jo kho jaigi. tu chal, woh ajayegi.
Lavina: Ha, ab chalo!!
[They all went to the assembly, all the more excited to see Vikram apologizing for his wrong deeds. After reaching there, they found Sanjana already standing there.]
Gaurav:Le rajat, teri Sanjana to pahelesehi yaha hai.
[They were going towards Sanjana, when rajat noticed Raja standing beside her.so, the cd of vu stood there while Dhruvie and Lavina moved forward.]
Raja: Tumlog yaha kya itni derse kyun pohoche aur tumlog rajatke saathio ke saath kya kar rahe the?
Lavina:Woh..hum..
Raja: Khair choro. ab tumlog yehi ruko mujhe ek teacherse milne jana hai. Shayad mein assembly attend na karsaku.
[Raja leaves and hence The cd of vu was free to come there then.]
Principal:Good morning students, teachers and staff members. May I have ur attention pls. Before going into further announcements Vikram aapse aur khas karke kuch students se kuch kahena chahta hai.
Vikram:(unwillingly walking upto the mike):Woh..Woh..(slowy whispers to his father):Mujhse nehi hoga.
[his father gave hima fierce look and so he had to continue.)
Vikram: I am sorry. Mein unnsab students se mafi magna chahta hu jinse maine bura bartav kiya hai.
[He leaves the stage as soon as possible and the crowd as usual was quite happy but no more than the gang of friends becoz of whom this was possible. Soon the assembly ended.]
Gaurav:Oye dil khush kardiya iss chchorene. Kabse yeh mafi sunneke liya mein bekarar tha.
Dhruvie:This calls for a celebration guys.What say?
Sanjana:To phir thik hai aaj tum sabko meri taraff se treat.
[Everyone agreed and was in a mood for masti and dhamaal when rang ko bhang karneke liya waha Vikram pohoch gaya.]
Vikram:Jitni khushiyaan manani hai, manalo. Baad mein tumlogokohi pachtana parega.
Mehul:Tum kabhi bhi nahi sudroge.Arrey kamse kam apni uss sorryka to maan raklo jo tumne abhi bola.
Vikram:Achcha!!Lakta hai ki ab tum kuch zyaada hi bolne lege ho.
Harsh: Dekho yaha se chale jao.Sharafatse baath kar rahe hai iska matlab yeh nehi ke tum apni manmani kartein jao.
Vikram: Kyun kya karlega, mujhe marega, chal maar. Maarna dekhta kya hai maar mujhe. MAAR!!!!Sala kuch nahi karsakega.
[this made Rajat even more angry and he was going to give Vikram a tight slap but controlled himself.]
Rajat:Dekh Vikram, agar hum chahe to abhi ke abhi yaha tere saath kuch bhi kar saktein. Par humme koi hungama nahi chahiye.Tere liye achcha yehi hoga ki tu yaha se chala jaya samjha?
[Though Vikram was showing much courage but a even bad idea stroke in his mind. He shook a finger towards Rajat and left. God knows what was that for.]
[Well,the newly born gang of friends went back to attend there classes.But it looked like Sanjana and Rajat were more thoughtful about the developing relationship between them. They were more concerned about what would happen in the lunch period when they'll again meet each other.Soon the lunch period came. But thank god they were a little late as by then Raja had already finished his lunch and was back to his room.Soon, there gathered the gang of friends and as decided Sanjana was to treat them and so did she.Rajat and Sanjana sat beside each other and every single time their fingers, toes touched each other, a blushing expression covered their faces, which included a sweet smile,a bit of fear doen in the core of their heart.Soon Gaurav asked Rajat to sing a song.Though at first Rajat denied, later he had to sing as it was a special demand of Sanjana.He stood up from his seat and placed his guitar around his neck and began(I hope u'll recognize the song. It's exactly dedicated to Sanjana.)]
Rajat began:' Jab se tere naina mere nainose lage re,
Tab se deewana huya (the cd of vu gave the chorus)
Sabse begana hua,
Rab bhi deewana lage re....(2)
[Sanjana felt a little bit shy.Gaurav took her out of the seat to dance on the beat.Gaurav then pushed sanjana towards Rajat. They saw each others eyes and Rajat sang up dancing slowly with Sanjana.]
Rajat sang seeing Sanjana's eyes:Jabse hui hai tumse sharat,
Tabse gayi hai chaino karaar,
Jabse judi yaara tere mere manke dhagere,
Tabse Deewana huya..
[It was a sweet memorable time for Rajat and sanjana atleast and they were enjoying themselves to the fullest.Par tabhi someone came, Oh! My god!!! It was Raja!! Accompanied by Vikram and his friends and it looked like Raja was damn serious. Raja came straight towards Rajat and pulled him by his shirt!!!]
