Was going through few old articles and found this DT was the initial choice for Anjali in IPKKND as Barun's sister. She was almost finalised but due to her prior commitments to other projects she had to opt out from this one

well im glad... everything that happens DOES happen for the best i guess... she opted out of IPK because of that shortfilm with SSharad yeah? Anyhow, she was meant to do bigger stuff like YHM and that too as main lead ;)

I think Daljeet was PERFECT as Anjali and she managed to win so many hearts, i cant imagine ANYONE else playing Anjali... IPKKND and the cast share a super amazing bond, and i think each of them fits so well in their characters... and none of them seems out of place which... COULD have been the case if others were in place... the magic happens only rarely, and it clicked with IPK.. just like it did with YHM... atleast ONSCREEN! 😊

Yes,DT was the first choice for anjali, even when daljeet wanted to quit the show then again makers approached DT but it never happened.

Honestly , Anjali was tailormade role for Daljeet.No one would have done that role as perfect as her.She n Barun were like real bro n sis pair .IPK was one such show where all the characters have become iconic and even offscreen ,they all share such a wonderful bonding that it is continuing even now after 3 yrs of show's closure.Must say IPK is an epic and epics cant be recreated again n again.

Okay ,,, ipkknd is my fav serial
Aldo anjali is my fav character in ipkknd...
I cant evn imagine dt in anjali s role...

anjali's role was a good one and was played well by daljeet too👏...though dt wud have rocked it too but we prefer out ishita more 😉

Thanks for the info.

Though Divzy would've acted that role perfectly undoubtedly if she were anajali from the beginning, Daljeet is the only Anjali I like still (from few epis I have seen).
